Seoul Fall Checklist
1. Haneul (Sky) Park (하늘공원)
Address: 서울 마포구 하늘공원로 95
95 Haneulgongwon-ro, Mapo-gu, Seoul
Most people would only think of the Maple and Gingko Trees when thinking of the Korean Fall, but the silver grass is also a site you cannot miss. The fields and fields of silver grass look like waves in the ocean as the wind bustles through the tall wheat. Haneul Park, which is located in Mapo-gu, has a great silver grass field that looks like a scene in a K-drama. The grand park holds the annual Seoul Silver Grass Festival but hasn't been able to for the past couple of years due to the pandemic. It is finally back this year in 2022 and people from all over Korea and the world are looking forward to it. The Seoul Silver Grass Festival will be held on October 15 to 21 so head over to Haneul Park!
In addition to the silver grass, Haneul Park also has a field of Pink Muhly Grass (in the pictures below) which is another must-see of the Korean Autumn.

The Lonely Tree, which is what Olympic Park is most famous for, stands alone in a large field of nothing hence the name.
Other than the Lonely Tree, there are plenty of floral fields that decorate the park including a Cosmos field and a Pink Muhly field. There also are plenty of Gingko Trees around the park, so it's a great place to take pictures!

Located on the outskirts of Seoul, Yangju Nari Park is a scenic park that is frequently visited by many tourists. Nari Park's unique hue of pink distinguishes itself from the more common red and orange hues in the rest of the country.

Nami Island is one of Korea's most famous tourist attractions. It is beautiful all year round but is especially stunning in the Fall. As it is an island that is abundant with trees, it is natural that the trees turn into impressive colors in the Fall.
In addition to the maple red, Nami Island also has a boulevard of bright yellow Gingko Trees.
Nami Island is easily accessible so you can get there on your own from Seoul, or you can join a day tour, where you don't have to worry or think about anything but enjoying your time.
5. Any University Campus in Seoul
Kyunghee University
Ehwa Women's University
Since a lot of the university campuses in Seoul are located on mountains and hills, they are abundant in trees! They add a romantic atmosphere in the Fall and add a special something to campus life. Most universities in Seoul can be accessed by non-students as well (though some of them restrict non-students/faculty from entering because of the COVID outbreak) but if you have the chance, visit a school and take a walk!
Yonsei University (seoulstory.kr)
Yonsei University has a grand campus that is filled with unique European-style buildings. A lot of them are covered in vines and some of them turn bright red in the Fall!
Sungkyunkwan University is also a great place to visit if you want to see Gingko Trees! There is a massive Gingko Tree that towers over the buildings.
