Freedy | Korean Vintage Wholesale Market Tour
Shop Korea’s vintage wholesale warehouses with transport and payment support
Have you ever admired the stylish clothes at Korean vintage shops and wondered, “Where do these clothes come from?” The Freedy Korean Vintage Wholesale Buying Experience Tour takes you to large vintage wholesale warehouses in Korea that can be difficult for foreign travelers to visit on their own. There, you can find a much wider selection of clothes at reasonable prices than at regular vintage shops.
The highlight of this tour is the opportunity to choose and purchase clothes directly at wholesale stores where professional buyers actually source their inventory. You can compare unique vintage pieces all in one place, including Japanese vintage, American vintage, Y2K styles, oversized jackets, and leather items, making this tour especially appealing to vintage fashion lovers.
In addition, a staff member with eight years of experience as a wholesale buying tour specialist will assist you with transportation, store guidance, payment, and organizing your purchases. Even foreign visitors who are not familiar with Korean can join comfortably, allowing them to focus entirely on shopping. That is why we highly recommend this tour.

How do I book and prepare for the tour?
Choose your pickup location from Seoul Station, Hongik Univ. Station, or Myeongdong, and select the number of participants. On the day of the tour, please arrive 10 minutes before your assigned pickup time and present your booking confirmation and passport.
We recommend wearing comfortable shoes and clothes suitable for active movement. It is also helpful to make a note in advance of the items, sizes, and colors you are looking for. Please bring a measuring tape to check actual measurements, as well as cash to use for purchasing clothing.
'Freedy' | Our Visit
Was the pickup location easy to find?
![]()
I met the staff in front of Exit 1 of Hongik Univ. Station, then traveled by vehicle to Ilsan.
The pickup location was right in front of the subway station exit, so it was easy to find. Since the staff came to pick us up directly, we were able to head straight to Ilsan.
As soon as we left the heart of Seoul, the atmosphere changed completely. On the day of our visit, it took about 30 minutes by car to reach an area filled with large vintage stores. Several warehouse-style stores were gathered together, making it feel like a “vintage village” and a great place to shop. It was somewhere we never would have known about if we hadn’t joined the tour.
I am from Taiwan, and it was especially enjoyable to shop because there were so many products that suited Taiwanese tastes.
How did you choose and purchase clothes at the first store?
At the warehouse-style store, which had a large selection of Japanese vintage clothing, we tried on the clothes ourselves, placed our picks on personal racks, and paid based on weight.
![]()
The first store was a large vintage shop spread across the first and second floors.
As soon as we walked in, we saw an incredible number of clothes packed closely together on racks, with a particularly large selection of Japanese vintage pieces. The store is open 24 hours a day and also allows unmanned, self-service purchases. Inside, we could really feel the relaxed atmosphere as everyone browsed freely.
We could try on the vintage clothing in the fitting rooms inside the store or comfortably try things on outside, making it easy to shop at our own pace.

Each person is given one rack at this store.
![]()
Whenever we found something we liked, we hung it on our rack, and the total was calculated by weight after we finished shopping. At the time of our visit, the minimum purchase amount started at ₩15,000. I picked out four jackets, but the total came to only around ₩17,000, which was a real surprise. It definitely felt affordable because this was a wholesale store.
There was a wide variety of outerwear, including leather jackets, denim jackets, and tweed jackets, and it was great being able to try everything on while making our selections. In addition to styles commonly found in vintage shops in Korea, there were also plenty of pieces featuring the distinctive patterns and colors of Japanese vintage fashion, making it especially fun to browse.
How did the staff help during shopping?
On the day of my visit, the staff helped with in-store payments, organizing the clothes we purchased, and loading them into the vehicle.
![]()
One especially convenient aspect of this tour was that the staff helped with payments and organizing our purchases.
![]()
The staff organized the clothes we selected, handled the payment first, and loaded everything into the vehicle, so participants could focus entirely on shopping.
Vintage warehouses can have a large amount of clothing and may be dusty, but the staff also provided masks, which made us appreciate their thoughtfulness. It was really convenient not having to carry heavy bags from one store to the next after choosing clothes at each location.
How did lunch work during the tour?
On my tour, we had about an hour of free time and enjoyed lunch at a nearby restaurant, covering the cost of the meal separately.
![]()
After exploring the first store, it was time for lunch. You’ll have about an hour of free time to choose and dine at one of two or three nearby restaurants.
Lunch is not included in the tour fee, but it was nice to take a break and enjoy Korean food during the tour. After walking around and browsing clothes for a while, you’ll need more energy than you might expect, so the lunch break felt perfectly timed.
How Was the Second Store Different from the First?
The atmosphere was more organized than at the first store, and shopping was based on the prices on the tags attached to the clothes rather than their weight.
![]()
![]()
The second store had a slightly cleaner and more organized atmosphere than the first. It was a long-established vintage store offering both wholesale and retail shopping, with separate buildings for the men's and women's sections.
![]()
We started by looking around the men's section, which offered a wide variety of items, from designer brands to Korean and international brands. Since purchases at this store are based on the prices listed on the tags rather than weight, you can shop by checking the price tag attached to each item.
There were also many items from Korean brands, making it a great place to experience Korean style.
There were eye-catching items such as jackets in the style of Balenciaga, Versace, and Armani. Some jackets were available for around KRW 40,000, so we felt they offered great quality for the price.
The store also had clean fitting rooms and restrooms, making it easy to try on clothes comfortably.
What Products Could You Find in the Women's Section?
![]()
In addition to clothing, there was a wide variety of bags, shoes, and accessories. You could use a cart to collect items as you browsed.
![]()
It was convenient to shop while pushing a cart around. Since the store was spacious and had so many products, whenever I found something I liked, I could place it in my cart and continue browsing.
![]()
Some bags were priced in the ₩20,000 range, and the fur jackets especially caught my eye.
A cute fur jacket with an adorable design cost around ₩25,000. It had very little shedding and looked well maintained, which was impressive. The fit was also incredibly cute.
In one area, staff members were tidying the clothes with a steam iron. Seeing this made me feel reassured that the products were well cared for. The store also had vintage golf wear, so if you are looking for classic and sporty vintage items, it would be worth browsing this section as well.
What kind of style is the third store best suited for?
With plenty of patch jackets in an American vintage style, custom items, and oversized clothing, this store had an atmosphere that was perfect for anyone who loves street fashion.
![]()
The third store mainly sold American vintage items.
![]()
As soon as we walked in, the atmosphere felt completely different from the previous stores.
![]()
![]()
There were also many customers with distinctive styles in the store, so it was fun just seeing what kinds of clothes they picked out.
There were lots of customized clothes and oversized items here.
There were plenty of boxy jackets and shirts that would be great for men, but there were also many pieces that women who love an oversized fit could wear for a stylish look.
The store had a strong sense of the free-spirited mood unique to vintage fashion, along with an unmistakable American streetwear feel.
This store also used a tag-price system, meaning items were purchased at the prices shown on their tags. Many of the American vintage jackets, in particular, featured patches on the back, which made them incredibly kitschy and charming. The staff also recommended pieces that suited me, which made shopping much easier.
If you usually like Y2K style, street fashion, or oversized looks, you’ll find plenty of pieces you’ll want to buy at this store!
What impressed you as you looked around?
It was so much fun looking through the unique patch jackets and custom items one by one.

I was told that Bae Jung-nam, the Korean model and actor, also visits this store regularly. In fact, the store had a strong treasure-hunt atmosphere, with fashion lovers spending a long time browsing and choosing clothes.
I also lost track of time browsing the products here. There were so many unique patch jackets, oversized outerwear, and custom items that are difficult to find in regular vintage shops, making it especially fun to look through everything one by one.

How did I get back after shopping?
![]()
After the tour ends, you’ll return to the place where you boarded the vehicle. I also returned to the Hongdae area by car, so there was no need to carry luggage while changing between public transportation lines.
It was nice to be able to rest for a while in the vehicle after shopping, and it was incredibly convenient not to have to carry heavy bags while transferring between public transportation. Vintage shopping can be more physically demanding than expected, so having transportation included in the tour felt like a major advantage.
What would you like to know before booking?
Can I join even if this is my first time shopping for vintage clothing wholesale?
Yes. The staff will guide you through the stores, help you ask about prices and negotiate purchases, and explain how the buying process works. Your purchases will be loaded into the vehicle, so you can browse the next store empty-handed. Buying clothing is optional, not required.
Will the tour depart if I’m traveling alone?
The minimum group size is 2 people, and the maximum is 6. The minimum number of participants must be met for the tour to depart. If it is not met, you will be notified of the cancellation at least three days before the tour date. If the tour is canceled because the minimum number of participants was not met, you will receive a 100% refund.
Can I join even if I don't speak Korean?
Basic communication is available in English, Japanese, and Chinese. Our staff will assist you with the purchasing process and transportation, but basic communication does not include professional interpretation services.
Where do I get picked up, and what time should I arrive by?
The meeting points are Exit 1 of Hongik Univ. Station, Exit 3 of Seoul Station, and Exit 9 of Myeongdong Station. Pickups will take place in sequence between 9:30 and 10:00 a.m. The exact time and location will be sent by Freedy in an information email three days and one day before the tour. Please arrive 10 minutes before the time provided.
What should I show on the day of the tour after my reservation is confirmed?
Your reservation confirmation will be sent within 1 to 2 days. Once your reservation is confirmed, please check your mobile reservation confirmation or voucher, and present it along with your passport when boarding.
What additional costs should I prepare besides the tour fee?
Clothing purchases, lunch, transportation to the pickup location, and optional shipping fees are not included. The total cost of your clothing purchases will be calculated at the end of the tour and paid to the staff in cash. International shipping can only be requested and paid for in cash on-site, so please prepare cash for the shipping fee if you plan to use this service.
Are all clothes priced by weight?
No. The first store I visited priced clothing by weight, while the second and third stores priced items according to the tags. It's a good idea to check how each store prices its items before shopping.
Can I try on clothes before purchasing them?
All three stores I visited had fitting rooms. We recommend checking not only the labeled size, but also the actual measurements and condition of each item. Please check the location of the fitting rooms at each store when you arrive.
Can purchased clothing be shipped overseas?
Yes. If you need overseas shipping, you can request it on-site and pay the shipping fee in cash. Please provide the recipient’s name, contact information, and shipping address to the staff member on-site. The listed rates by country are reference prices based on 5 kg, and the actual shipping fee will be provided on-site. Shipping fees for other countries will be provided separately.
How far in advance can I change or cancel my reservation?
You can cancel or change your reservation up to 7 days before your visit. Cancellations made at least 7 days before the visit are eligible for a 100% refund, while cancellations made 6 days or less before the visit are nonrefundable (KST). No refunds are provided for late arrivals or no-shows, and you will receive a 100% refund if the tour is canceled because the minimum number of participants has not been met.
In Conclusion
![]()
The 'Freedy' Korean vintage wholesale shopping tour was a special opportunity to experience the real-world distribution scene of Korea's vintage fashion industry. Browsing curated styles at vintage shops in Hongdae or Seongsu is enjoyable, but choosing clothes directly from a wholesale warehouse, like searching for hidden treasures, felt much more exciting and immersive.
The biggest reason we recommend this tour is that both Korean and international travelers can comfortably explore vintage wholesale stores that are difficult to visit alone, accompanied by staff specializing in vintage clothing. From moving between stores and explaining how to shop, to payment and organizing your purchases, the staff helps with everything, allowing you to focus on shopping even if you are not familiar with Korean.
In a single day, you can browse affordable Japanese vintage, high-quality designer vintage, and kitschy American vintage, making this tour especially enjoyable for vintage fashion lovers. If you want to experience Korea's authentic vintage wholesale culture rather than follow the usual shopping routes during your trip, we recommend the 'Freedy' Vintage Wholesale Shopping Tour.
