Dining at Gimhae Airport is divided into four main areas: the international departures and arrivals levels, and the domestic departures and arrivals levels. Use the table below to decide which area is most convenient for your meal.

If you are flying out of Busan, check the restaurant location first and allow at least one extra hour for your meal so you do not arrive late for security screening or miss your flight.

Recommended Restaurants at Gimhae Airport International Terminal

Arrivals Level (1F) Mauritius Brown

  • Hours: 06:30-21:00
  • Location: Inside the Gate 1 exit on the international arrivals level
  • Note: Card payments are accepted at the self-service ordering kiosk

If you have just arrived at Gimhae Airport and are thirsty but unsure what to drink, look for Mauritius Brown next to the CU convenience store near the Gate 1 exit. The shop offers a variety of milk teas, along with cheese foam drinks, tea, coffee, and more.

Another advantage is that you can order right away using a self-service kiosk with foreign-language support. Even if you are short on cash, you can conveniently pay by card.

Two cups of bubble tea and red fruit tea

Our editor and a friend ordered brown sugar bubble tea and cheese foam bubble tea. The sweetness was just right, and the tapioca pearls were wonderfully chewy, making them a flavor that would likely appeal to Taiwanese tastes as well. If you prefer something lighter, try omija tea, a popular Korean specialty drink. It has a subtle, refreshing aroma and a rich fruity flavor without being overly sweet or heavy.

You can also get a drink to go on your way to the subway or taxi, or take a short break in the seating area while preparing for your Busan trip, which is just about to begin!

Arrival Level (1F) ADELA 7

  • Hours: 06:00-20:30
  • Location: Outside the Gate 4 exit on the international arrivals level

Outside the Gate 4 exit, you'll find ADELA 7 bakery. The elegant atmosphere is apparent from the sign, and the seating area inside is clean, neat, and tastefully decorated.

If you've just arrived at Gimhae Airport in Busan, take a look around ADELA 7. In addition to bread, it also sells light options such as sandwiches and drinks, making it a convenient place to grab a quick bite after arriving. ADELA 7 also has a Korean government-issued Master Confectioner certification, which recognizes the highest level of professional expertise in confectionery and baking.

While looking around the bakery, our editor chose ADELA 7's signature item, 'Gijang Seaweed Tuile', on the recommendation of a local friend from Busan. Made with seaweed, one of Gijang County's signature local specialties, it has a balanced salty flavor with a subtle sweetness and a delightfully crisp texture. It's perfect both as a gift and as a light snack.

Departure Level (3F) PLE: EATING Food Court

  • Hours: 06:00-20:30
  • Location: On the right side of the international departures check-in area on the 3rd floor, before security screening

Looking for a proper meal rather than coffee or bread at Gimhae Airport? Head to PLE: EATING, a food court operated with investment from the Lotte Group. It is one floor above the airline check-in counters in the pre-security area of the international departures level.

It serves a range of Korean and Chinese dishes ordered through self-service kiosks. The kiosks support Chinese, English, and Japanese and display photos of every dish, so you can order without worrying about what will arrive.

Gyeongseong Bunsik

[Image Slider]Gyeongseong Bunsik egg ramenGyeongseong Bunsik tuna mayo gimbap

If you want to try some of Korea's most popular street foods, you can't go wrong with Gyeongseong Bunsik at PLE: EATING. The light and comforting egg ramen has a gentle spicy kick, making it easy for international travelers to enjoy. The generously filled gimbap is topped with a hearty scoop of tuna mayo, giving you soup, carbohydrates, and protein all in one satisfying meal. The gimbap itself is fresh-tasting and comes in a generous portion, and if you enjoy rich flavors, it's even better with plenty of tuna mayo scooped on top.

Tienru

[Image Slider]Tienru jajangmyeon and sweet-and-sour porkTienru jajangmyeonTienru sweet-and-sour pork

If you're worried that Korean food might not suit your taste, or you prefer to avoid spicy dishes, Tienru at PLE: EATING is a safe choice. The jajangmyeon has a well-balanced sauce with plenty of flavor, while the sweet-and-sour pork sauce cuts through the richness of the fried pork, making the two dishes a great combination.

Byeolmiga

Byeolmiga pork kimchi stew

If you're looking for a Korean-style meal, we recommend Byeolmiga's signature pork kimchi stew. It arrives piping hot in a pot for one, bubbling away with generous portions of tofu and pork.

Enjoy the rich, tangy, and spicy kimchi stew broth with sweet and crunchy braised lotus root, a variety of side dishes, and white rice for a hearty Korean meal.

🍴Gimhae Airport Dining Tips

PLE: EATING operates on a self-service basis. After placing your order at the kiosk, collect your receipt and number ticket, then find a seat first. When your number appears on the large screen, pick up your food from the corresponding counter. After your meal, please return your dishes to the self-service return area.

Departures Level (3F) Hyoja Ugoltang

  • Hours: 06:00-21:00
  • Location: Center of the international departures check-in area on the 3rd floor, before security screening
  • Note: Card payments are accepted at the self-service ordering kiosks

Located next to PLE: EATING, Hyoja Ugoltang is a great place to enjoy a warm and hearty Korean soup dish before boarding your flight. The restaurant has received a three-star "Very Excellent" rating, the highest level in the restaurant hygiene rating system administered by the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety.

Beef Brisket Kalguksu Set

[Image slider]Beef brisket kalguksu setBeef brisket kalguksuSteamed dumplings and side dishes

This set comes with beef brisket kalguksu and steamed dumplings. The noodles are topped generously with shredded beef brisket, seaweed flakes, and chives in a clean-tasting beef bone broth with a subtle sweetness. The noodles are pleasantly chewy and absorb the broth well, while the fish sauce aroma sometimes found in kalguksu is not particularly strong.

The steamed dumplings have thin wrappers and are filled generously with meat and vegetables. Enjoying them with tangy, spicy kimchi creates an even better balance of flavors.

Beef Brisket Gomtang

[Image slider]Beef brisket gomtang menuA full serving of beef brisket gomtang at Hyoja UgoltangBeef brisket gomtang with rice, sauce, and side dishes

Another signature dish at Hyoja Ugoltang, the beef brisket gomtang fills the air with a fragrant aroma as soon as it arrives. The clear broth is smooth and warming, with a subtle sweetness, while the thick, generously sized pieces of brisket are tender and juicy rather than chewy.

When eating, start by warming yourself with a spoonful of the hot broth, then pick up a piece of brisket and dip it in the special sauce. This brings out the meat's savory flavor even more. To finish, mix the white rice into the broth and enjoy generous spoonfuls with spicy, crunchy kkakdugi radish kimchi, which will leave you feeling completely satisfied.

🍴Gimhae Airport Dining Tip

All soup dishes served at Hyoja Ugoltang use broth made by simmering beef bones. If you do not eat beef, we recommend choosing another restaurant.

Departures Level (3F) Heineken Lounge Bar

  • Hours: 07:00-21:30
  • Location: Near Gate 4 in the international departures airside area

Departures hall and green neon bar sign

If you want to enjoy one last relaxed moment of your Korea trip before leaving Busan, the Heineken Lounge Bar behind Gate 4, next to the Korean Air lounge, is a comfortable place to unwind amid its vivid green neon atmosphere.

Honestly, our editor did not expect much at first, but the food was unexpectedly excellent and earned a very high score after the meal.

The entire bar is decorated in Heineken's signature neon green and red star logo, creating an immersive atmosphere that immediately catches your eye. One wall is lined with neatly arranged liquor bottles, and even signed baseballs are on display!

Don't miss the unique bat-shaped draft beer glass, available in limited quantities. It is large and distinctive enough to turn heads when you hold it, making it perfect for taking photos. If you cannot finish your drink, you can also ask the staff to pack it up, so enjoy a leisurely drink before boarding. The other menu items are also excellent, and the combination of crispy fried food and ice-cold draft beer is simply unbeatable.

Our editor's top recommendation is the chicken, fried fresh to order. The hot, crisp coating seals in plenty of juice. A bite of chicken followed by a sip from the oversized beer glass was a dream MVP combination for a beer lover. The takoyaki was also better than expected, crisp outside and soft inside. Between the food quality and the relaxed, comfortable space, this place easily deserves at least 90 points.

🍴Gimhae Airport Dining Tip

Minors are not permitted to drink alcohol, and non-alcoholic beverages are also available. As boarding policies after drinking vary by airline, please check before your visit.

After covering so many restaurants in Gimhae Airport's international terminal, you may wonder whether the domestic terminal has good options too. It does: the PLE: EATING food court on the domestic arrivals level offers a convenient meal for travelers arriving in Busan from Seoul, Jeju, and other cities.

It is easy to find. After exiting into the arrivals hall, take the escalator next to Gate 4 to the 3rd floor, where you will see PLE: EATING right away.

There is plenty of seating, and ordering is simple. Use a self-service kiosk with Chinese, Japanese, English, and other language options. Card payment is available; collect your food when the number on your receipt is called.

Dongbaek Sikdang

Beef hot pot meal at the domestic terminal's PLE: EATING

You can't leave out nakgopsae (spicy octopus, beef tripe, and shrimp stew) when talking about the signature dishes you must try in Busan. At Dongbaek Sikdang in PLE: EATING, you can order this very dish.

The deep red, richly simmered sauce is packed with the savory flavor of fresh seafood. Pour it into a large metal bowl filled with white rice, bean sprouts, and crispy shredded seaweed, then mix everything together. Each bite delivers an addictive burst of intense spiciness. It would not be an exaggeration to call it a true Busan-style rice thief, a dish so delicious that it makes you eat more rice.

Beef hot pot with rice and side dishes

If you can't handle very spicy food, try Dongbaek Sikdang's jeyuk bokkeum (stir-fried pork). Pork pieces are stir-fried on a sizzling hot griddle until they soak up the sauce, releasing an irresistible aroma as steam rises. Served generously over rice, it is savory and nutty, pairs perfectly with rice, and makes for a satisfying yet easy-to-enjoy meal.

Sodam Bapsang

[Image Slider] Stone pot bibimbap topped with meat, vegetables, and egg strips Stone pot bibimbap with a variety of side dishes

Sodam Bapsang's stone pot bibimbap is an extremely popular dish. It sizzles until the hot stone pot is placed on the table, revealing a generous layer of fragrant stir-fried minced beef, spinach, bean sprouts, mushrooms, and golden egg strips. The colorful ingredients make it look incredibly abundant even before you take your first bite.

While the stone pot is still hot, add the special gochujang and mix everything together. As you stir, the nutty aroma of sesame oil blends with the rich, toasty scent of the rice crisping against the pot. At the bottom, you can even enjoy nurungji, the crispy, lightly golden-browned rice crust.

Hoho Katsu

Curry pork cutlet set with rice and salad

The final dish is an old-fashioned jumbo pork cutlet, a favorite with adults and children alike. Its impressive size catches your eye as soon as it reaches the table, and the exterior is fried to a golden crisp. It is generously coated in a rich, sweet-and-savory old-fashioned sauce, with thick and satisfying bites.

The fresh cabbage salad and yellow pickled radish on the side balance the richness of the fried cutlet, and one plate is filling enough for a full meal.

🍴Gimhae Airport Dining Tip

The domestic terminal's PLE: EATING is also self-service, so you must return your dishes to the collection station after your meal.

Departures Level (2F) HAN SPOON

  • Hours: 06:00-21:00
  • Location: Near Gate 36 in the domestic departures airside area on the 2nd floor
  • Note: Card payments are accepted at the self-service ordering kiosk

HAN SPOON storefront on the domestic departures level

If you get hungry while preparing to leave Busan on a domestic flight, do not ignore it. HAN SPOON near Gate 36 is a reliable stop our editor visits whenever flying home from Busan, serving classic Korean snack foods done well.

[Image Slider] A platter of gimbap, tteokbokki, and assorted fried snacks Picking up tteokbokki and fish cake Gimbap with tteokbokki and pickled radish

Enjoy the fantastic combination of Korean street food. Pair sesame oil-brushed gimbap with sweet, savory, and spicy tteokbokki broth and fish cake, then add the freshly fried assorted snacks served on the side for a perfect meal. Dipping the fried snacks into the tteokbokki sauce is the classic Korean way to enjoy them. A warm platter of street food before your flight will fill you up and satisfy those cravings.

Spicy ramen noodles lifted with chopsticks

Freshly cooked, piping-hot ramyeon is always a reliable choice. The rich, mildly spicy broth, chewy noodles, and fresh green onions are appetizing at first glance.

For a creamier, richer bowl, we strongly recommend the cheese ramyeon. The hot broth slowly melts a slice of cheese, infusing the soup and noodles with a deep milky flavor. Every bite is rich, smooth, and deeply satisfying.

🍴Gimhae Airport Dining Tip

Fish cake broth is free, and you are required to return your dishes after your meal.
