Seoul TBC | Premium K-Beauty Head Spa, Facial and Body Massage
During your trip to Myeongdong, experience head spa and full-body care all at once, from scalp to toe.
Experiencing K-beauty while traveling in Korea is not just about skincare or makeup. After a full day of sightseeing and shopping, your shoulders and legs can feel heavy, and even your scalp may start to feel tight and uncomfortable. When that happens, fitting in a head spa and full-body massage mid-itinerary can be a refreshing, different kind of K-beauty experience.
Today, we are introducing 'Seoul TBC', a total beauty care shop in Myeongdong where you can enjoy everything in one place, from head spa to skincare, plus full-body and foot massages. They have been operating in Myeongdong since 2010, and it is about a 4-minute walk from Exit 6 of Myeongdong Station, making it easy to stop by in between shopping or sightseeing.
This time, we tried the 50-minute head spa along with the 100-minute A Course, which covers care from the face to the whole body and feet. Unlike a typical head spa that focuses only on scalp and hair care, what stood out most was being able to enjoy a continuous treatment from head to toe for about 150 minutes.

'Seoul TBC' | Why We Recommend It
A Convenient Location to Visit During Your Myeongdong Trip
'Seoul TBC' is located in the heart of Myeongdong, so it is perfect to stop by while shopping or sightseeing in Myeongdong. It is within walking distance not only from Myeongdong Station but also from Euljiro 1(il)-ga Station, making it an easy place to add to your itinerary even if it is your first time visiting Seoul.
From Head Spa to Full-Body Care, All in One Place
They offer a variety of programs beyond scalp-focused head spas, including treatments for your face, full body, abdomen, and even feet. Instead of visiting multiple beauty shops separately, you can take care of everything you want in one place, which makes it a great way to use your time efficiently during a short trip to Korea.
A Great Course for Relieving Travel Fatigue
When you travel around Myeongdong or Seoul, you often end up walking much more than usual, plus carrying a bag, so it is easy for fatigue to build up in your neck, shoulders, and legs. The A Course includes not only facial care, but also full-body treatment using aroma oil and acupressure massage, continuing on to the abdomen, feet, and scalp, making it a great option for anyone who wants care for their whole body rather than just one specific area.
A Shop Where Even International Visitors Can Easily Understand the Process
The shop had an English menu and usage guide available. Helpful information for international guests was also provided in English, so even if you do not speak much Korean, it should make it easier to understand how the treatment works.
Easy to Visit Without Bringing Anything
They provide tea, towels, slippers, and lockers where you can store your personal belongings. They also have clothes you can change into before your treatment, so it felt convenient to drop by anytime during sightseeing without any hassle.
'Seoul TBC' | Program Overview
Head Spa | 50 minutes
Scalp exfoliation care → Mist → Shampoo and treatment → Scalp ampoule → Finishing care
This course helps remove unnecessary dead skin and buildup on the scalp, then moves on to mist, shampoo and treatment, and finishes with a scalp ampoule. It typically takes about 50 minutes, but depending on your hair length, it can range from about 40 to 60 minutes.
A Course | Skincare, Full Body, Foot (100 min)
Facial massage → Full-body massage (aroma oil + acupressure massage) → Abdominal massage → Foot massage → Scalp massage
This is a 100-minute course that covers everything at once, from your face to your whole body, abdomen, feet, and scalp. Rather than focusing on just the upper or lower body, it is recommended for anyone who wants balanced care for the entire body.
'Seoul TBC' | Our Visit
Arriving and Getting Ready
'Seoul TBC' is located inside a building in Myeongdong. Look for the blue sign in front of the building that says 'Seoul TBC', then follow the stairs up to find the shop.
Once you step inside, you will find a small, cozy space with a relaxing vibe. Rather than a flashy hotel spa, it felt like a long-running Korean aesthetic salon with a warm, familiar atmosphere.

Before your treatment, you will take off your shoes, switch into the provided slippers, and store your personal belongings in a locker.
![]()
After that, you will change into the provided treatment outfit, and the session begins.
If you are visiting from overseas, it can feel a bit unfamiliar at first, like figuring out how to change at each massage shop and where to put your belongings. Here, everything is prepared for you, lockers, the treatment outfit, and slippers, so there is almost nothing you need to bring.
'Seoul TBC' Head Spa Experience
Starting with a scalp scaling treatment
![]()
First, I sat down in the chair, put on a cape, and they began the scalp care by sectioning my hair little by little.
![]()
They carefully parted through the hair and applied a scaling product directly onto the scalp. It was a detailed process where they divided the scalp into areas and treated it thoroughly, which is hard to do at home when you are just shampooing.
![]()
It was not just "washing your hair,"they care for the scalp itself first, then move on to the shampoo step, so it definitely felt different from a typical hair salon shampoo.
Scalp and hair care with warm mist
![]()
After the scaling, the next step was treating the entire head with mist.
The dome-shaped device covers your whole head, so you can just sit comfortably and wait. After getting plenty of warm mist, you move on to the main shampoo step.
![]()
Since you do not have to keep moving around during the treatment and there is a lot of time to simply sit and relax, it felt perfect for taking a break in the middle of a trip.
Shampoo and scalp massage
![]()
Next, you move to the shampoo station, and they wash your hair thoroughly.
![]()
After lathering up the shampoo well, they treat your entire scalp as if massaging it with their hands.
They shampooed carefully from the front to the sides and the back, then rinsed several times.
![]()
In the middle of the shampoo, they used a strong stream of water to give the whole scalp a refreshing massage.
It felt like a different kind of stimulation than a hand massage, and it made my scalp feel even cleaner and more refreshed.
![]()
To finish, they even did acupressure with their hands. It felt amazing, I wanted to do it again.
If you visit after walking around Seoul all day, this time, lying down while your hair is washed and your scalp is cared for, will feel especially relaxing.
After the shampoo, they also do a treatment for your hair texture.
Scalp ampoule and nourishing care
![]()
After the shampoo, you move back to your seat. Once your hair is dried, the scalp ampoule treatment continues.
![]()
Using an airbrush-type device, they sectioned the hair little by little and evenly sprayed the product close to the scalp.
Even until the very end, it was not just about the surface of the hair, it focused on caring for the scalp, which really felt like a true head spa.
![]()
After that, they tidied up the scalp once more by hand and finished by spraying product onto the hair as well.
![]()
This is what it looked like right after the head spa! I was surprised at how noticeable the change was, my hair looked shinier and much calmer than before.
Wrapping Up the Head Spa
There is one helpful thing to know in advance. The drying included in the head spa is a simple drying process, not hair styling. If you have a lot of hair or long hair, you may need to dry the remaining parts yourself after it is partially dried.
The shop also has a separate notice in English about this, so international customers do not misunderstand it as a service that includes hair styling.

They also have a curling iron you can use yourself, so you can style your hair too.
'Seoul TBC' A Course Experience
A Course 100 Minutes, Here's How It Goes
A Course is a 100-minute total massage program that works through the face, full body, abdomen, feet, and scalp in order. Rather than focusing on just one area, it's a great option for anyone who wants to relieve built-up travel fatigue throughout the entire body. The full-body massage was performed by a different therapist than the head spa.
STEP 1. Facial Massage
![]()
They begin the treatment by gently massaging your face and the area around your neck with soft, soothing hands.
![]()
![]()
After slowly loosening up the face first, it moves on to a full-body massage.
STEP 2. Full-Body Aromatherapy Oil Massage
![]()
After applying aromatherapy oil, they slowly massage your entire body by hand, including your back and shoulders.
An acupressure massage is also included, which gently releases tight muscles built up from traveling.
They also work on your legs and abdomen, and it really feels like circulation is improving throughout your whole body.
STEP 3. Foot Massage
![]()
Next, they thoroughly massage your legs and feet, which tend to get the most tired during your trip.
![]()
It is a great option during a Seoul itinerary with lots of walking, with care continuing all the way to your toes.
STEP 4. Scalp Massage
Finally, you'll wrap up the 100-minute course with a massage around your head and scalp. After care from your face all the way down to your toes, it continues up to the scalp, finishing with that satisfying feeling of having your whole body cared for from start to finish.
Things to Know Before Getting a Head Spa
If you want to experience K-beauty during your trip to Korea but feel it is a hassle to book skincare, a massage, and a head spa separately, a place like 'Seoul TBC', where you can get multiple treatments in one spot, is a great option.
If your hair is long and falls below your chest, there may be an additional fee of ₩10,000 to ₩20,000, depending on hair length.
Also, since the head spa does not include professional hairstyling, keep this in mind if you have an important schedule or a photoshoot afterward.
It may be difficult to receive the treatment right after getting a perm, dye, or bleach. According to 'Seoul TBC' guidelines, they recommend visiting about 3 days after those procedures. Certain types of very curly or tightly coiled hair may also have limitations in terms of product or equipment use, so if this applies to you, please check in advance before your visit.
'Seoul TBC' | Overall Review
In particular, the combination we tried this time, 50-minute Head Spa + 100-minute A Course was great because it does not just end with scalp care, it continues from your face to a full-body and foot treatment, so you can relieve travel fatigue while also experiencing K-beauty and Korean-style esthetics in one go.
If you are looking for a comfortable place to rest after spending the whole day shopping and sightseeing in Myeongdong, or if you want to try a head spa at least once during your Korea trip, choose the course that suits you at 'Seoul TBC'.
