Nanalog Myeongdong | Large Premium Healing Head Spa Hair Salon
An 18-Step Premium K-Head Spa Experience in the Heart of Myeongdong
When planning a trip to Korea, many travelers like to include a K-beauty experience in their itinerary. That is because Korea offers so many beauty activities you can only really experience here, like skincare treatments, makeup, and hair styling.
Recently, head spa treatments in the Myeongdong area, which care not only for your facial skin and hairstyle but also your scalp and hair condition, have been gaining attention as a new K-beauty experience. Rather than simply washing your hair, the treatment checks your scalp, refines away dead skin and buildup, then continues step by step with soothing, moisturizing, and nourishing care, making it a great way to relieve travel fatigue.
Especially while traveling in Korea, you end up walking all day, taking lots of photos, and frequently using styling products like blow-drying, hair straighteners, and hair spray. Add hot weather and humidity, and your scalp can start to feel uncomfortable and congested.
Today, we are introducing "Nanalog Myeongdong," where you can experience a premium 18-step head spa right in the heart of Seoul, Myeongdong. It is a recommended K-beauty stop for anyone who wants to take a short break between Myeongdong shopping and foodie plans, and refresh their scalp and hair condition.
Why are head spas so popular in Korea these days?
![]()
In the past, many people thought scalp care simply meant "washing your hair clean." But these days in K-beauty, there is a growing trend of seeing the scalp as an area that needs care just like the skin on your face.
Just as facial skin needs cleansing, soothing, hydration, and nourishment, the scalp also needs steps to manage oil, dead skin, buildup, dryness, and heat. That is why head spas in Korea have recently evolved beyond a basic shampoo service into a full wellness experience that includes scalp analysis, deep cleansing, massage, packs, and treatments.
For international travelers too, a head spa is a truly appealing K-beauty experience. Treatments that dramatically change your style, like hair coloring or perms, can feel risky if you are worried about the results, but a head spa is relatively easy to try, and it fits perfectly into your trip as a relaxing break.
After enjoying shopping, great food, and sightseeing in Korea, you can lie back quietly in a private space and get care for your scalp, neck, and shoulders. That is one of the reasons so many travelers are seeking out Korean head spas these days.
Why Choose "Nanalog Myeongdong"?
If you want a head spa, what matters is not just "getting a refreshing shampoo", it is what ingredients are used on your scalp, what kind of space you are cared for in, and what system the treatment follows.
At "Nanalog Myeongdong", you can experience all of this together in a spacious, premium hair salon of about 330 square meters, including Stemcell head spa products, a private one-person room with a hanok concept, and an 18-step care system.
Before we get into the full review, here are three key points that make the head spa at "Nanalog Myeongdong" stand out.
1. A head spa using pharmacist-made aroma oils and stem cell culture solution ingredients
The head spa at "Nanalog Myeongdong" is not just about washing your scalp clean, it is a Stemcell head spa that methodically resets your scalp condition step by step.
From the pharmacist-formulated aroma oils to every product used during the treatment, they contain stem cell-based ingredients known to help improve scalp conditions, so you can feel a clearly higher-quality level of care that sets it apart from other shops.
Especially while traveling, you often use styling products like blow-drying, hair irons, and sprays, and with lots of walking or humid weather, your scalp can easily feel stuffy. For those cases, the head spa at "Nanalog Myeongdong" is designed to refresh your scalp and comfortably improve the scalp environment, which is the foundation of healthy hair care.
2. A private one-person spa room with a hanok vibe
The most impressive part of "Nanalog Myeongdong" was the head spa room. The treatment space is designed as a private, single-person room with a hanok concept, creating a calm and luxurious atmosphere.
For international travelers, the space itself can feel like a K-beauty experience. It is not just scalp care, it is the special experience of quietly lying down and receiving treatment in a private space with a distinctly Korean mood.
Because it is done in a private room, you do not have to worry about other people watching, and you can fully focus on the treatment. That is a major advantage of "Nanalog Myeongdong", especially in a busy, lively area like Myeongdong, it is a premium place to step away and truly recharge for a while.
3. A detailed, 18-step care system
The "18-step head spa | 90 minutes" at "Nanalog Myeongdong" is, just as the name suggests, built with an exceptionally detailed sequence of steps. It progresses in order from checking your scalp condition to aroma oil, an LED brush, deep pore cleansing, neck and shoulder massage, stem cell shampoo, a collagen pack, treatment, and finishing with tonic and ampoule.
What matters here is not simply that there are many steps, it is that the overall flow of scalp care continues in a structured way, like exfoliation → soothing → absorption → shampoo → pack and treatment → finishing care. Since pores and buildup are addressed first, the products used in later steps can work more effectively, which made the whole experience feel much more professional.
Even if it is your first head spa in Korea, the set system makes it easy to follow and less intimidating, and it is also appealing that you can experience premium K-beauty care without having to dramatically change your hairstyle.
Now, Our editor will share a detailed review of the 18-step head spa they experienced in person.
Our editor's Experience at "Nanalog Myeongdong"
![]()
This time, Our editor personally tried the "18-step head spa | 90 minutes" at "Nanalog Myeongdong."
The first thing I noticed as soon as I walked in was how spacious and comfortable the place felt. True to its roughly 330㎡ size, the seating areas were well spaced out, and the overall interior stood out as sleek and futuristic. Rather than a typical hair salon, it felt like stepping into a premium K-beauty salon with a style that's uniquely "Nanalog Myeongdong."
There were photo zones set up at the entrance and throughout the space, plus a dedicated Nanalog merch zone that really captured the brand's vibe. It didn't feel like a place you simply visit for a hair treatment or head spa and leave, it left a strong impression as a K-beauty salon designed as a full "space experience."
1. Checking Your Scalp Condition
STEP 01. Scalp Diagnosis and Consultation
The "18-step head spa | 90 minutes" at "Nanalog Myeongdong" doesn't start with shampoo right away. It begins with checking your scalp condition first. They used a camera to look at my scalp and pores, and explained what my current scalp condition looked like.
They checked whether my scalp tends to be dry, if there was any dead skin or sebum buildup, and what the area around the pores looked like, then set the care direction based on that. It felt much more professional. Especially for foreign travelers trying a head spa for the first time, it can be hard to describe your scalp condition in words, so being able to see it directly on a screen makes it much easier to understand.
Our editor also rarely gets a close look at my scalp in everyday life, so seeing it on screen helped me understand much better why scalp cleansing and soothing care are needed.
2. Getting Ready for Scalp Cleansing
STEP 02-05. Aroma Oil, LED Brush, Deep Pore Cleansing, Mist and Steam Towel
After checking my scalp condition, we moved into the cleansing prep stage. First, they applied an aroma oil suited to my scalp type to gently loosen things up. The scent was subtle, and as I lay down, I could feel the tension naturally melt away.
At "Nanalog Myeongdong," they use natural and mild oils step by step, tailoring the care based on concerns like scalp flaking, redness, and sensitivity. So instead of simply making your scalp feel "cool," it felt more like a process of calmly resetting and balancing your scalp condition.

Next came the LED brush step. I was told the LED brush helps the products applied to the scalp absorb better. The brush felt gentle rather than harsh, so it seemed like people with sensitive scalps could also enjoy it comfortably.
After that, we moved on to deep pore cleansing and a mist step. This salon places a lot of importance on getting the scalp truly clean first, because organizing the pores and dead skin upfront helps you feel the effects of the products in the later stages more clearly.

Next, they used a low-temperature mist for about 10 minutes to provide warm moisture to the scalp, helping soften sebum and dead skin together with the scaling product that had been applied.
While traveling, you often use styling products like blow-drying, curling irons, and sprays, and after walking around all day, your scalp can start to feel stuffy. This step felt like it cleared out that heaviness and reset everything.
3. Neck and Shoulder Relaxation + Shampoo
STEP 06-09. Trapezius Massage, Lymph Massage, Stem Cell Shampoo, Galvanic Y-Bar Massage
The next stage included massage for the neck, shoulders, and lymphatic lines. This part felt the most different from a typical shampoo service.
This head spa doesn't stop at the scalp, it's a full-care experience that continues through the ears, shoulders, and neck. The step that gently releases the trapezius muscles and lymph lines was especially nice, it felt like all the tension built up from walking around all day just faded away.
Then we moved into the stem cell shampoo step. "Nanalog Myeongdong" introduces a stem cell head spa that uses scalp-focused ingredients like stem cell culture solution and NK immune cell culture solution. However, it's best to understand this as a premium care step that helps refresh and balance your scalp and hair condition, rather than as a medical treatment or a guaranteed medical effect.
The shampoo lather was rich, and it felt like my scalp was being cleansed very thoroughly. After that, the head spa massage continued using a galvanic Y-bar, and it really felt like every area of my scalp was being carefully cared for, you could clearly tell how detailed the 18-step system is.
4. Soothing the Scalp and Caring for Your Hair
STEP 10-14. Healing Spa, Scalp Soothing Pack, Treatment, Rinse After 8 Minutes, Semi-Dry Scalp
After the cleansing and massage steps, we moved on to soothing the scalp and caring for overall hair condition. If the earlier steps were about clearing away dead skin and buildup, this stage focused on adding moisture and comfort to the scalp. From this step, the session continued in the shampoo room with a hanok interior.
![]()
First, the scalp healing spa begins. With lukewarm water and aromatherapy, it helps relieve stress and provides plenty of moisture to the scalp.
Next, they applied a collagen pack and a treatment. The scalp soothing pack felt like it gently calmed everything down, and the treatment step helped smooth and soften my hair.
For about 30 minutes in the shampoo room, the session was done in a premium massage chair, so I got a full-body massage from scalp to toes, it truly felt like full-body healing.

After applying the pack and treatment, they let it sit for about 8 minutes, then lightly rinsed it off. You can think of this step as allowing the products enough time to work on the scalp and hair.
After rinsing, they didn't dry my scalp completely, they kept it semi-dry. Since the finishing care continues afterward, they prepare the scalp at about 70% dry. The fact that even the order and dryness level were planned out so precisely made it feel like a structured scalp program, not just a simple shampoo.
5. Finishing with Tonic and Ampoule
STEP 15-18. NK Tonic, Galvanic Nutrient Absorption, Results Check, Intensive High-Concentration Ampoule Care and Final Scalp Check
In the final stage, they finished with scalp tonic and an ampoule. First, they sprayed NK tonic onto my scalp,
then used a galvanic T-stick to help it absorb evenly into the scalp.
After that, the intensive finishing care continued using a high-concentration ampoule. True to the name "18STEP," the system moves seamlessly from start to finish without skipping any steps.

One thing I especially loved about the head spa at "Nanalog Myeongdong" was that they do another scalp check at the end. By comparing the photos taken before and after, you can visually see how things like dead skin and the area around the pores have been cleaned up.
In the BEFORE photo, the pores were clogged with dead skin and looked red, but after the healing spa, the pores looked more open and the redness was reduced, like in the AFTER photo on the right.
They explained that a healthy scalp is when the pores are open, like on the right.
Most head spas are often remembered only as a feeling like "refreshing" or "cool," but at "Nanalog Myeongdong," being able to compare before and after made it feel much more like professional care. It's also great for foreign travelers who aren't comfortable with Korean, since you can understand the results instantly just by looking at the photos.
Finally, they finished with a light blow-dry and styling. After the session, my scalp felt noticeably fresher and lighter, and my hair looked smooth and tidy, it was perfect for heading right back into my Myeongdong plans.
Overall, the "18-step head spa | 90 minutes" at "Nanalog Myeongdong" felt less like a simple scalp treatment and more like a premium K-head spa experience, from diagnosis to cleansing, soothing, massage, nutrition care, and even a before-and-after comparison.
If changing your hairstyle drastically during your Korea trip feels like a bit much, but you still want a special K-beauty experience, this is a course I'd especially recommend. Since you can fit it in as a relaxing break between shopping and food stops in Myeongdong, it feels like a highly satisfying choice for foreign travelers too.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) About Booking "Nanalog Myeongdong"
Q1. How is Nanalog 18-step head spa | 90 minutes different from a regular shampoo?
If a regular shampoo is mainly focused on cleansing, Nanalog 18-step head spa | 90 minutes is a step-by-step scalp care program that goes beyond washing, starting with a scalp condition check and continuing with aroma oils, an LED brush, deep pore cleansing, neck and shoulder massage, a stem-cell shampoo, a collagen pack, treatment, and finishing with tonic and ampoule.
Q2. Which should I choose between 15STEP and 18STEP?
If you want basic scalp care and relaxation, we recommend 15STEP. If you want more intensive scalp treatment plus finishing care, we recommend 18STEP.
Q3. Will a head spa change my hairstyle?
A head spa is not a treatment that dramatically changes your hairstyle like a perm or hair dyeing. It is more of a care service that refreshes and balances your scalp and hair condition, so we recommend it as a K-beauty experience you can enjoy during your trip without any burden.
Q4. Can I use this service even if I don't speak Korean?
If you enter your booking details in advance and visit, you can enjoy the service quite comfortably. On-site, if needed, you can also receive guidance using translation tools. However, please check the booking page for the actually available languages and the scope of support.
Q5. Can I continue my travel itinerary right after the head spa?
Yes, you can. However, since the 18STEP program includes quite a few steps, we recommend leaving some extra buffer time in your schedule before and after your reservation. It is also a great option to continue with shopping or a meal in Myeongdong after your treatment.
Q6. Can I still get it if I have a sensitive scalp?
It can vary depending on your scalp condition. If your scalp gets red easily or is on the sensitive side, please let the staff know in advance before your treatment.
If you want to experience K-beauty during your trip to Korea but feel hesitant about major changes like hair coloring or perm treatments, we recommend a head spa. In particular, "Nanalog Myeongdong" is located right in the heart of Myeongdong, making it easy to fit into your itinerary, and it feels even more special because you can enjoy an 18-step head spa in a private hanok concept spa room.
From deep scalp cleansing to soothing care, hydration and nourishment, plus a neck and shoulder massage, Nanalog's 18-step head spa | 90 minutes is a great K-beauty course for relieving travel fatigue and restoring your scalp and hair condition.
If you would like to do more than just shopping and eating in Myeongdong, and take a relaxing break while also trying a premium head spa, visit "Nanalog Myeongdong."
