Nanalog Myeongdong | The Largest Premium Healing Head Spa Hair Salon in Myeongdong
An 18-Step Premium K-Head Spa Experience in the Heart of Myeongdong
A Korean head spa offers an easy way to add K-beauty to your Seoul trip without changing your haircut or color. Treatments usually combine scalp cleansing, massage, moisture care, and hair treatment in one relaxing session.
Myeongdong is a convenient place to book one. After hours of walking, shopping, and styling your hair for photos, your scalp may feel oily, dry, or weighed down by product buildup. A head spa gives you time to rest while receiving focused care for your scalp and hair.
Today, we are introducing "Nanalog Myeongdong," where you can experience a premium 18-step head spa right in the heart of Seoul, Myeongdong. It is a recommended K-beauty stop for anyone who wants to take a short break between Myeongdong shopping and foodie plans, and refresh their scalp and hair condition.
Why Korean Head Spas Are Popular?
![]()
Scalp care in Korea has grown beyond a standard shampoo service. Many Korean head spas now treat the scalp much like facial skin, with separate stages for cleansing, moisture, soothing care, and massage.
For travelers, the appeal is simple. A head spa requires no major style change, takes less commitment than a perm or color service, and offers a quiet break during a busy Seoul itinerary.
Many sessions also include care for the neck and shoulders. After a day of walking through Seoul, that added massage can make the appointment feel closer to a spa visit than a salon wash.
Why Choose "Nanalog Myeongdong"?
Three Reasons Nanalog Myeongdong Stands Out
Nanalog Myeongdong offers a 90-minute, 18-step head spa in a private room inspired by traditional Korean interiors. The program includes a scalp check, aroma oil, deep cleansing, neck and shoulder massage, shampoo, a scalp pack, hair treatment, tonic, and ampoule care.
Before we get into the full review, here are three key points that make the head spa at "Nanalog Myeongdong" stand out.
1. Scalp-Focused Products and Aroma Oils
Nanalog uses pharmacist-formulated aroma oils and scalp products containing stem cell culture-derived ingredients. Staff select products according to concerns such as dryness, oiliness, flakes, redness, or sensitivity.
These products are part of a cosmetic scalp-care service rather than medical treatment. Results vary according to each guest’s scalp and hair condition.
2. A Private Spa Room Inspired by Hanok Design
The head spa takes place in a private room with Korean-inspired wooden details and a calm atmosphere. Guests can relax without sharing the treatment space with other customers.
That privacy is a major benefit in crowded Myeongdong. Once the door closes, the noise and movement of the shopping district feel far away.
3. A Structured 18-Step Program
The "18-step head spa | 90 minutes" program follows a clear sequence. The session begins with a scalp check, moves through cleansing and massage, and ends with moisture and finishing care.
Rather than adding steps for length, the program groups each stage around a purpose: assessing the scalp, removing buildup, relaxing the neck and shoulders, caring for the hair, and completing the session with tonic and ampoule products.
Our Experience at "Nanalog Myeongdong"
![]()
Our editor booked the 18-step, 90-minute head spa at Nanalog Myeongdong.
The salon felt spacious from the entrance. Seats were arranged with plenty of room between guests, while the interior combined polished surfaces, bold lighting, and branded display areas.
There were photo zones set up at the entrance and throughout the space, plus a dedicated Nanalog merch zone that really captured the brand's vibe. It didn't feel like a place you simply visit for a hair treatment or head spa and leave, it left a strong impression as a K-beauty salon designed as a full "space experience."
1. Scalp Analysis and Cleansing Preparation
Step 1: Scalp Check and Consultation
The session began with a close-up scalp camera. The screen showed the condition around the roots and helped the stylist check for visible oil, flakes, dryness, and buildup.
Seeing the scalp on-screen made the consultation easier to follow. Guests who do not speak Korean fluently can point to specific areas and understand the stylist’s explanation through the images.
Our editor rarely sees her scalp at such close range, so the consultation gave useful context for the treatment stages that followed.
2. Getting Ready for Scalp Cleansing
Steps 2 to 5: Aroma Oil, LED Brush, Deep Cleansing, Mist, and Warm Towel
After the consultation, the stylist applied an aroma oil selected for the editor’s scalp condition. The scent was light, and the application marked a relaxing start to the session.

Next, an LED brush followed. The brush moved gently across the scalp without uncomfortable pressure. Staff explained the role of the device before continuing with the deep-cleansing stage.
After that, we moved on to deep pore cleansing and a mist step. This salon places a lot of importance on getting the scalp truly clean first, because organizing the pores and dead skin upfront helps you feel the effects of the products in the later stages more clearly.

Next, they used a low-temperature mist for about 10 minutes to provide warm moisture to the scalp, helping soften sebum and dead skin together with the scaling product that had been applied.
While traveling, you often use styling products like blow-drying, curling irons, and sprays, and after walking around all day, your scalp can start to feel stuffy. This step felt like it cleared out that heaviness and reset everything.
3. Neck and Shoulder Relaxation + Shampoo
Steps 6 to 9: Trapezius Massage, Lymphatic Massage, Shampoo, and Galvanic Care
The next stage focused on the neck, shoulders, ears, and scalp. This was one of the clearest differences between the Nanalog program and a standard salon shampoo.
The stylist worked around the trapezius muscles and neck with steady pressure. After a long day of walking, the massage gave our editor a welcome chance to rest.
Then we moved into the stem cell shampoo step. "Nanalog Myeongdong" introduces a stem cell head spa that uses scalp-focused ingredients like stem cell culture solution and NK immune cell culture solution. However, it's best to understand this as a premium care step that helps refresh and balance your scalp and hair condition, rather than as a medical treatment or a guaranteed medical effect.
The shampoo lather was rich, and it felt like my scalp was being cleansed very thoroughly. After that, the head spa massage continued using a galvanic Y-bar, and it really felt like every area of my scalp was being carefully cared for, you could clearly tell how detailed the 18-step system is.
4. Soothing the Scalp and Caring for Your Hair
STEP 10-14. Healing Spa, Scalp Soothing Pack, Treatment, Rinse After 8 Minutes, Semi-Dry Scalp
After cleansing and massage, the session moved into its moisture-care stage inside the private hanok-inspired shampoo room.

First, the scalp healing spa begins. With lukewarm water and aromatherapy, it helps relieve stress and provides plenty of moisture to the scalp.
Next, they applied a collagen pack and a treatment. The scalp soothing pack felt like it gently calmed everything down, and the treatment step helped smooth and soften my hair.
For about 30 minutes in the shampoo room, the session was done in a premium massage chair, so I got a full-body massage from scalp to toes, it truly felt like full-body healing.

After applying the pack and treatment, they let it sit for about 8 minutes, then lightly rinsed it off. You can think of this step as allowing the products enough time to work on the scalp and hair.
After rinsing, they didn't dry my scalp completely, they kept it semi-dry. Since the finishing care continues afterward, they prepare the scalp at about 70% dry. The fact that even the order and dryness level were planned out so precisely made it feel like a structured scalp program, not just a simple shampoo.
5. Finishing with Tonic and Ampoule
STEP 15-18. NK Tonic, Galvanic Nutrient Absorption, Results Check, Intensive High-Concentration Ampoule Care and Final Scalp Check
The final stage began with NK tonic applied across the scalp.
A galvanic T-stick was used afterward as part of the salon’s finishing process.
After that, the intensive finishing care continued using a high-concentration ampoule. True to the name "18STEP," the system moves seamlessly from start to finish without skipping any steps.

One thing I especially loved about the head spa at "Nanalog Myeongdong" was that they do another scalp check at the end. By comparing the photos taken before and after, you can visually see how things like dead skin and the area around the pores have been cleaned up.
In the BEFORE photo, the pores were clogged with dead skin and looked red, but after the healing spa, the pores looked more open and the redness was reduced, like in the AFTER photo on the right.
They explained that a healthy scalp is when the pores are open, like on the right.
Most head spas are often remembered only as a feeling like "refreshing" or "cool," but at "Nanalog Myeongdong," being able to compare before and after made it feel much more like professional care. It's also great for foreign travelers who aren't comfortable with Korean, since you can understand the results instantly just by looking at the photos.
Finally, they finished with a light blow-dry and styling. After the session, my scalp felt noticeably fresher and lighter, and my hair looked smooth and tidy, it was perfect for heading right back into my Myeongdong plans.
Overall, the "18-step head spa | 90 minutes" at "Nanalog Myeongdong" felt less like a simple scalp treatment and more like a premium K-head spa experience, from diagnosis to cleansing, soothing, massage, nutrition care, and even a before-and-after comparison.
If changing your hairstyle drastically during your Korea trip feels like a bit much, but you still want a special K-beauty experience, this is a course I'd especially recommend. Since you can fit it in as a relaxing break between shopping and food stops in Myeongdong, it feels like a highly satisfying choice for foreign travelers too.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q1. What Is the Difference Between the 18-Step Head Spa and a Regular Shampoo?
A regular shampoo focuses mainly on cleansing the hair and scalp. Nanalog’s 18-step program adds scalp imaging, aroma oil, deep cleansing, massage, a scalp pack, hair treatment, tonic, ampoule care, and a final scalp check.
Q2. Should I Choose the 15-Step or 18-Step Program?
If you want basic scalp care and relaxation, we recommend 15STEP. If you want more intensive scalp treatment plus finishing care, we recommend 18STEP.
Q3. Will the Head Spa Change My Hairstyle?
A head spa is not a treatment that dramatically changes your hairstyle like a perm or hair dyeing. It is more of a care service that refreshes and balances your scalp and hair condition, so we recommend it as a K-beauty experience you can enjoy during your trip without any burden.
Q4. Can I Book Without Speaking Korean?
If you enter your booking details in advance and visit, you can enjoy the service quite comfortably. On-site, if needed, you can also receive guidance using translation tools. However, please check the booking page for the actually available languages and the scope of support.
Q5. Can I Continue Sightseeing After the Appointment?
Yes. The session ends with drying and light styling, so you can return to shopping or dining afterward. Leave extra time around the reservation in case consultation or drying takes longer than expected.
Q6. Can Guests With Sensitive Scalps Receive the Treatment?
Suitability depends on the guest’s current scalp condition and ingredient sensitivities. Tell the staff about redness, allergies, irritation, or fragrance sensitivity before treatment. Ask for lighter pressure when needed.
If you want to experience K-beauty during your trip to Korea but feel hesitant about major changes like hair coloring or perm treatments, we recommend a head spa. In particular, "Nanalog Myeongdong" is located right in the heart of Myeongdong, making it easy to fit into your itinerary, and it feels even more special because you can enjoy an 18-step head spa in a private hanok concept spa room.
From deep scalp cleansing to soothing care, hydration and nourishment, plus a neck and shoulder massage, Nanalog's 18-step head spa | 90 minutes is a great K-beauty course for relieving travel fatigue and restoring your scalp and hair condition.
If you would like to do more than just shopping and eating in Myeongdong, and take a relaxing break while also trying a premium head spa, visit "Nanalog Myeongdong."
