ARGYOL Seongsu | Our Visit

'ARGYOL Seongsu' is a head spa & hair salon located about a 5-minute walk from Exit 4 of Ttukseom Station. The Seongsu area has plenty of great places to explore during your trip, like cafes, shopping spots, and select shops, so it was easy to plan other activities before or after the treatment.

Even if you come with large luggage, the shop can store it for you, so it was easy to visit even while traveling.

They can communicate in English, Chinese, and Japanese, so international travelers can visit fairly comfortably, and we recommend it for anyone who wants to experience a Korean-style head spa along with hair care in Seongsu.

As soon as we walked in, the clean, stylish white-toned interior stood out the most. Thanks to the large windows and bright lighting, the space did not feel cramped, and the hair treatment area was neatly organized, which made it feel like a truly professional hair salon.

After confirming your reservation at the counter, a staff member will help you store your belongings in a locker.

They also provided a gown that you can wear comfortably during the treatment. It is a good idea to keep the locker key in the gown pocket.

If you choose a drink from coffee, tea, or juice, the staff will prepare it along with some light snacks. Thanks to that, we could relax comfortably in the waiting area before the treatment.

Treatment Overview | Korea's Popular 15-Step Head Spa & Massage Program

The model decided to try 'Korea's Popular 15-Step Head Spa & Massage Program', the signature scalp care program at ARGYOL Seongsu.

This is a premium head spa course that flows from a scalp diagnosis to exfoliation, steamer care, cooling shampoo, waterfall rinse, a scalp mask pack, hair protein care, and finishing steam care.

The program consists of a total of 15 steps, and the order may vary depending on your scalp condition or on-site circumstances.

Step 1 | Scalp Diagnosis and Consultation

Before starting the full treatment, they first took images of the scalp condition and then held a consultation.

Using professional equipment to examine the scalp, they checked the current condition, including dead skin buildup, sebum, and dryness, and explained that the head spa care that follows would be based on the consultation results.

Since the model's scalp had a warm sensation and was a bit oily, they explained that the session would use products tailored to that, focusing on oil control and cooling care.

Rather than just hearing something like, "Your scalp is dry," it felt much more trustworthy to be able to check the scalp condition while looking at the actual images.

Step 2 | Scalp Peeling

In Step 2, we moved on to a scalp peeling treatment.

A refreshing spray-type product was applied all over the scalp. They carefully parted the hair section by section and applied it thoroughly, so it felt like I was getting detailed care even in areas that are hard to manage with just regular shampoo.

Step 3 | Aroma Relaxation Massage

Step 3 was an aroma relaxation massage. Before moving on to scalp care, they worked mainly on my neck and shoulders with acupressure-like techniques, and I could feel the tension naturally melting away.

If you have been walking a lot during your trip or carrying heavy bags and your neck and shoulders feel stiff, this step will be especially satisfying.

Step 4 | First Steam Treatment

The first steam treatment began. Using a steamer, your scalp is gently warmed and softened for about 10 minutes, helping the products applied earlier work more effectively.

Rather than feeling hot or uncomfortable, it felt like my scalp was softly opening up, a preparatory step before fully clearing away dead skin and excess sebum.

Step 5 | Intensive Scalp Scaling

In the intensive scalp scaling step, they used a steamer to soften the scalp, then thoroughly treated buildup like dead skin and sebum more deeply.

Since this process clears away sebum and stubborn impurities that are hard to remove with regular shampoo alone, it felt especially great for anyone whose scalp feels congested or who is bothered by excess oil.

Rather than applying the product and rinsing it off right away, it included time to soften and cleanse the scalp, which really made it feel like professional scalp care.

Step 6 | Deep Scalp Massage

This step involves gently pressing and massaging the entire scalp with the fingertips. It felt like it relaxed my scalp even more after the previous steps, and since it was not an intense, stimulating technique, it was comfortable to receive.

They carefully massaged between each area of the scalp, and as the session continued, my scalp gradually started to feel lighter and lighter.

Step 7 | Deep Steam Therapy, Second Session

Next was the second round of deep steam therapy.

After the scaling and massage, this step helps smooth and reset the scalp once more. The warm steam wrapped around the entire scalp, and it felt like it helped the treatment products absorb more effectively.

Step 8 | Nourishing Scalp Shampoo

From Step 8, we moved to the shampoo room for a nourishing scalp shampoo.

At Seongsu Branch, they used a soothing scalp shampoo with a cooling sensation, so the moment it touched my scalp, it felt refreshingly calmed and neatly reset.

It felt so refreshing, almost like all the dead skin and buildup from the earlier steps had been washed away cleanly, and rather than anything harsh, it was light and comfortable.

Step 9 | Professional Scalp Massage

Along with the shampoo, the professional scalp massage continued. They gently worked through the entire scalp, and it felt like the scalp that had been refreshed in the previous steps became even cleaner and lighter.

They pressed carefully across the scalp with their fingertips, and it felt like it was helping circulation, so I was able to relax comfortably throughout the treatment.

Step 10 | Luxury Head Spa & Treatment

In Step 10, we moved on to the luxury head spa & treatment.

This step continues with water-based "waterfall" care, gently smoothing and refreshing the scalp and hair once more.

As the stream of water flowed across the entire scalp, it felt like the scalp, already refined in the previous steps, became even cleaner, and it really felt like I was getting a head spa, not just a simple shampoo.

Step 11 | Scalp Nourishing Pack

After removing dead skin and sebum, the scalp nourishing pack began. This step replenishes the moisture and soothing care your scalp needs, and it felt like it added hydration back to the scalp after it had been thoroughly cleansed.

It did not stop at simply getting rid of sebum and impurities, it also thoughtfully restored nutrients so the scalp would not feel dry afterward.

Step 12 | Soothing Pack Massage

A soothing pack massage was performed to help the nourishing pack applied to the scalp absorb more effectively. At the same time, a protein treatment was applied to the hair, and it felt like my hair, which had been left feeling dry from frequent blow drying and styling, became smoother and more neatly tamed.

After the massage, they used a professional device along with a sheet so that warm steam could be distributed evenly across the scalp and hair. It felt like a step designed to help the previously applied nourishing pack and protein treatment ingredients absorb even better, and it left me feeling like not only my scalp but my hair was getting deeply moisturized care as well.

Step 13 | Finishing Head Spa Rinse

Finally, the finishing head spa rinse was done. This step thoroughly cleans away any product left on the scalp and hair, leaving everything feeling fresh and neatly finished.

After everything from early-stage exfoliation and sebum care to the waterfall rinse and nourishing pack, my scalp felt noticeably lighter.

Step 14 | Scalp Revitalizing Tonic

After returning to our seat, we moved on to the scalp revitalizing tonic step. They carefully applied the tonic all along the roots, so even at the finishing stage, it felt like my scalp was cooled down, refreshed, and neatly soothed.

I loved how fresh my scalp felt right after the head spa, it really made the whole treatment feel cleanly wrapped up.

This is what it looked like right after drying! The model was happy and said their hair felt so much healthier and smoother.

Step 15 | Post-Treatment Diagnosis and Results

After the head spa, we repeated the scalp examination from the first step, so we could compare the before and after results.

It was impressive to see how the scalp that initially had noticeable oiliness and sebum looked much cleaner and more balanced.

Rather than expecting a dramatic change from just one session, we thought it would be best to get it regularly to keep your scalp in good condition.

Once the diagnosis was done, they finished with styling, and with hair that felt even softer after the head spa, the styling came together naturally, which we were really happy with!
