mimm | Our Visit
As soon as we stepped inside, it felt like a premium private salon overall. The space was calm, refined, and beautifully organized, so even on our first visit, we felt comfortable right away.
mimm is a beauty salon spread across the 2nd and 3rd floors. The 2nd floor is a private makeup space, and the 3rd floor is a hair salon where you can also get &hair/head spa treatments.
It was convenient to get both makeup and hair care in the same building.
First, we confirmed our booking at the counter on the 2nd floor. After that, you can wait briefly in the lounge area.
We booked the "Daily Makeup + Basic Hair Styling (Shampoo Not Included)" and "Cut + Head Spa + Basic Hair Styling" packages.
While sitting in the waiting area, we even saw couples coming in to get their makeup done before wedding shoots. We had heard that mimm is popular in Korea for wedding makeup too, and seeing it in person really made that feel real.
Each locker has a digital lock, and you can set your own password, so you can store your belongings safely during your service.
Inside the locker, there is a gown to wear during the treatment. Change into it and lock the locker, then you are all set.
That day, the model decided to start with the head spa, so we took the elevator with a staff member up to the hair salon on the 3rd floor. It was nice that they guided us the whole time, it really felt like being taken care of.
The overall order was head spa → makeup → haircut → hair styling, and we will walk you through each step from here.

The 3rd floor had a different vibe from the makeup space on the 2nd floor. While the makeup area felt calm and private, the 3rd floor had that clean, professional atmosphere typical of a hair salon.
Head Spa (8 Steps)
Step 1 | Scalp Consultation and Diagnosis
First, we sat down and checked the current scalp condition with a scalp diagnostic device. Through a visual check and consultation, they carefully examined redness, flaking, and buildup on the scalp.
The diagnostic screen was connected to a phone, so the model could see her scalp condition directly while listening to the explanation. It was reassuring because it was not just verbal guidance, we could look at the actual screen together.
Step 2 | Scalp Scaling and Softening Care
After the diagnosis, we moved on to scalp scaling and softening care. This step involves applying a scalp product thoroughly to gently soften buildup and dead skin cells.
As soon as the cool scaling product touched the scalp, it felt refreshing. They applied it evenly all over, and it felt like the care was truly beginning.
Next, they used a device to further soften the dead skin cells.
This step took about 10 minutes, and the warm sensation made it comfortable to relax through. It felt like a step that people with sensitive scalps or frequent flaking would especially enjoy.
Step 3 | Customized Seated Shampoo
Next came the shampoo step customized to the model’s scalp type. Instead of lying down right away, they did the first cleanse while she was seated, which felt a bit unique.
They applied shampoo thoroughly across the scalp, and it felt like they were carefully managing even the hard-to-reach areas.
After applying it with a device, they went over everything again by hand as if double-checking the entire scalp, which made the cleanse feel extra thorough.
Step 4 | Scalp Massage with a Dedicated Device
Then, they used a head spa device to massage the scalp. This step helps release tension and improve circulation, and it honestly felt incredibly refreshing.
The device massaged every part of the scalp, so it felt different from a regular shampoo or hand massage, and it made the scalp feel noticeably lighter. It seemed especially great for anyone tired from traveling or long commutes.
Step 5 | DOHI Carbonated Head Spa
For the next step, we moved to the shampoo room.
They proceeded with intensive care tailored to the scalp type. At mimm, they use either a carbonated product or oil depending on your scalp condition. For oily scalps or when deep cleansing is needed, they can use a carbonated product to help care for fine impurities inside the scalp pores.
On this day, the model had a sensitive scalp with some redness, so they used oil instead of the carbonated product. It was great that they chose the product based on her scalp condition.
Step 6 | Personalized Treatment Care
Next came a treatment step tailored to the condition of both the scalp and hair. They used a brush to apply the product thoroughly across the scalp, providing nourishment and hydration to both scalp and hair.
Because they applied it carefully with a brush, the scalp care felt even more professional.It did not feel like a basic hair-smoothing treatment, it felt like true care that also addressed the scalp condition.
Step 7 | Finishing Acupressure and Rinse
After applying the treatment, they did a scalp massage. The artist pressed and massaged the scalp almost like acupressure, and it felt like stress and fatigue were melting away.
Next, they continued rinsing while mixing aroma oil into the water, which helped create a calming feeling through the scent. The subtle fragrance made it even easier to relax during the service.
Finally, they rinsed the scalp clean for about 15 minutes with a waterfall-style rinse.
The water stream felt cool and gentle as it hit the scalp, making it one of the most soothing steps. They covered the eyes with an eye mask, so it was easy to fully rest.
After the waterfall rinse, a staff member showed us the impurities and oil that had come out from the scalp. Seeing it made the before-and-after feel even clearer, and it felt like we got care for buildup that is hard to remove with shampoo alone.
Step 8 | High-Concentration Nutrition and Infrared Therapy
After rinsing, they applied an ampoule or gel suited to the scalp type to provide nourishment.
Then they used an infrared device to help the product absorb better into the scalp.
This lasted about 5 minutes and felt like the finishing touch of the head spa. After cleansing the scalp thoroughly, adding nourishment at the end made the care feel even more complete.
This is what it looked like right after the head spa. The scalp felt noticeably lighter, and you could visibly see that the hair looked much better than before.
It was not just washing your hair, from diagnosis to scaling, massage, treatment, and waterfall rinse, everything was done step-by-step, so it truly felt like professional care.
Daily Makeup
After the head spa, we went back down to the 2nd floor with a staff member and moved into the makeup room.
The makeup room was set up as a private room, so it was quiet and comfortable.
It was a space where you do not have to worry much about other people watching, so it seemed great even for first-timers getting their makeup done.
Before starting makeup, we checked the scalp diagnosis again to see the head spa results. Comparing before and after, we could visually confirm that the overall heat in the scalp had gone down and that buildup had been cleared.
Being able to see the change with our own eyes made the head spa feel even more worth it.
The artists who would do the makeup came in.
The table was filled with all kinds of color cosmetics, and just seeing it made us excited, it felt like getting a true K-beauty makeup session.
Before the makeup, we first consulted about the mood and color palette we wanted. The model requested a bright style with coral tones, and the artist checked the outfit color and the reference image she wanted, then set the makeup direction accordingly.

Before the full makeup, they started with thorough skincare.
They first prepped the face with toner pads, then placed pads on the face to cool it down and prevent dryness.
They also applied lip balm to moisturize the lips first. Since good base prep is important for makeup to sit beautifully, it was great that they took such care here.
Next, they applied an ampoule and moisturizer to boost hydration. They used base products suited to the model’s skin type and condition, so her skin felt comfortably prepped before makeup.
They also tidied up fine hairs around the brows to match the overall mood. It is a small detail, but once the brow line is cleaned up, it feels like the makeup will look much cleaner.
They applied sunscreen delicately with a brush as well. They layered it thinly and evenly along the skin texture, so it felt like professional care from even before the base makeup step.
Once the skin prep was done, the makeup director came in and started the main makeup.
First, they selected a foundation that matched the model’s skin tone and applied it carefully with a puff. They patted on multiple thin layers to make it look natural, resulting in a clean finish without feeling heavy.
Since we requested coral-toned makeup, they kept the eye colors warm and bright overall. They used similar tones on the under-eye area as well, making the eyes look brighter.
Next, they used a brush to draw eyeliner precisely to suit the eye shape, creating definition without making it overly dark.
Before applying false lashes, they curled the natural lashes with an eyelash curler.
Then they applied the false lashes one by one, taking time to do it carefully.
Lashes can change the entire mood of the makeup, so they paid close attention here. They placed them naturally to suit the model’s eye shape and finished with mascara thoroughly.
After the lashes were on, the eyes looked much more defined. Even with just the base and eye makeup, the overall vibe changed dramatically, and it made us understand why lashes are considered so important in K-beauty makeup.
Next was brow makeup. They shaped the brows with a brow product first, then used brow mascara to naturally refine the color and texture.
Brows can really influence the overall impression of the face, and they drew them clearly while keeping them from looking too heavy, matched perfectly to the model’s vibe.
The overall look felt more polished.
Then came concealer. Instead of using just one shade, they mixed about three different colors and applied them according to each area’s needs.
They covered under-eye areas, blemishes, and redness with great precision, which made the base look even cleaner. The way they mixed shades showed professional-level detail.
For blush, they chose a color that suited the coral look and also matched the model’s face well. Adding a soft flush made the overall mood much brighter.
They also applied a natural brightening highlighter.
Next was the lip step. They first refined the lip line with a lip liner. Defining the line made the lip shape look clearer, and the lip color went on much more cleanly afterward.
They were careful in choosing the lip color too. From several options, they picked a shade that matched the model’s skin tone and the overall makeup mood, and finished with a glossy lip.
Finally, they carefully finished with under-lash mascara and even refined the hairline.
Adding under mascara made the eyes look even more defined, and filling in the hairline naturally made the face shape look more polished.
And that completed the makeup. Overall, it had a bright coral vibe, and even though it was Daily Makeup, it turned out defined enough to look great in photos, which we loved.
Experiencing it firsthand, mimm’s makeup did not feel like simply “doing pretty makeup”, it felt more like creating one complete style by considering skin condition, face shape, outfit color, and the vibe you want.
Because it was done in a private room, we did not have to worry about other people watching, and it felt even more comfortable, like being cared for from start to finish just for you. Cut + Basic Hair Styling
After finishing makeup on the 2nd floor, we moved back to the hair salon on the 3rd floor. The model showed reference images and discussed the desired vibe and hairstyle with the stylist.
If you have a specific look in mind, we recommend preparing reference photos in advance.
That day, we requested a clean, straight style that would suit the Daily Makeup and the model’s image well.
We wanted something natural and polished rather than overly styled, and after the consultation, they proceeded in a direction that suited her perfectly.
First, they trimmed and refined the overall hair texture. After the cut and smoothing, the hair looked much calmer, and the overall silhouette was more neat and defined.
The clean, straight line looked neat and paired well with the Daily Makeup, and tidying up around the face made the overall impression look more refined.
Next, they styled the hair using an iron. They shaped it naturally while creating larger, soft curls, it was the kind of style you would want to recreate in daily life.
At the end, they used a blow dryer to set the volume carefully. After organizing the root volume and overall flow, the hairstyle felt even more complete.
This is what it looked like after both makeup and hair were done. The model’s image, the Daily Makeup, and the clean hairstyle all matched beautifully, and she was very satisfied with the finished look.
