At ARGYOL Myeongdong Branch, you can enjoy Korea’s popular 15-step head spa and massage program, which includes scalp analysis, scaling, steam care, scalp massage, a nourishing pack, and a final check.

Being in the heart of Myeongdong makes the timing flexible. Pop in after a day of shopping, stop by on your way back to the hotel, or treat it as a proper wind-down before your last night in Seoul. The 10 PM closing time means you're not rushing to squeeze it in before the rest of your plans.

The moment we walked in, the space felt clean and calm. Nothing like the street outside.
It felt like the kind of place your body had been waiting for all day.
After checking in, staff stored our clothes and luggage in lockers and handed us a gown. Everyone was warm and attentive from the start, which made settling in easy, even on a first visit.

From there, we were guided to the waiting area to pick a drink. Coffee, tea, juice, there was a solid range to choose from.

Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the salon, and light snacks were set out too. By the time the treatment started, we were already relaxed.
Treatment Overview | 15-Step Head Spa & Massage
Our model went with ARGYOL's signature program: the 15-Step Head Spa & Massage.
It's a full-course treatment covering scalp diagnosis, scaling, steam therapy, deep massage, nourishing packs, and a final check-up. Each step builds on the last, and the whole thing feels more like a wellness session than a standard salon visit.
There are 15 steps in total. Here's how they went.
Note: the order may be adjusted depending on your scalp condition.
Step 1 | Scalp Diagnosis and Consultation
Before anything else, the stylist ran a full scalp diagnosis using professional equipment and walked us through the results.
Our model had a dry scalp with some heat, so the treatment was adjusted toward moisture and cooling from the start.

They answered every question about daily care and styling. It felt less like a pre-treatment formality and more like a proper one-on-one consultation.
![]()
Drinks and snacks were already placed at the seat. The attention to detail was clear before the treatment even started.
Step 2 | Scalp Peeling
The stylist sectioned the scalp carefully and worked the peeling product through from root to root, removing built-up dead skin and product residue that regular shampoo doesn't reach. Think of it as a deep reset before the main treatment begins.
Step 3 | Steam Treatment (Round 1)
![]()
Warm steam wrapped around the scalp for about 10 minutes. Not too hot, just a comfortable warmth that helps the scalp relax and opens the pores so the nourishing products used later can actually absorb.
The heat also does a solid job of releasing tension you've been carrying all day.
Step 4 | Aroma Relaxation Massage
Using premium essential oils, the stylist worked through the neck and shoulders first, loosening up tension before moving into the deeper scalp work. It's the kind of step that shifts the whole mood of the treatment.
Step 5 | Intensive Scalp Scaling
![]()
The stylist sectioned the scalp again and applied the scaling product thoroughly, targeting deeper buildup and impurities. A cooling ampoule followed, which felt especially good coming after the warmth of the earlier steps. The scalp felt noticeably lighter afterward.
Step 6 | Deep Scalp Massage
Gentle pressure applied across the entire scalp with fingertips, targeting blood circulation and releasing tension that builds up without you noticing. Nothing harsh or overstimulating. A steady, relaxing massage from start to finish.
Step 7 | Deep Steam Therapy (Round 2)
![]()
A second round of steam, this time focused on locking in moisture and reinforcing the scaling effects. The warmth was soft rather than intense, and the scalp felt soothed and hydrated throughout.
Step 8 | Nourishing Scalp Shampoo
![]()
From here, we moved to the shampoo room, and this is where things get noticeably more comfortable.
![]()
The chairs are full massage chairs. While the shampoo treatment is happening, your whole body is being looked after. It's about 30 minutes of actual rest.
![]()
Since our model had a dry scalp, the stylist used a customized shampoo suited to moisture and cooling.
![]()
Getting a color service? Let your designer know in advance and they'll switch to a color-care shampoo. The process adapts to your hair's needs.
Step 9 | Professional Scalp Massage
![]()
Along with the shampoo, the stylist worked through the scalp with careful finger pressure, loosening tension and improving circulation. The scalp felt noticeably fresher coming out of this step.
Step 10 | Luxury Head Spa & Treatment
![]()
![]()
Water-stream therapy combined with deep conditioning, while you're lying back in the massage chair with the full-body massage still going. This doesn't feel like a shampoo step. It feels like a full recovery session for your scalp and hair.
Step 11 | Scalp Nourishing Pack
A high-concentration mask was applied to feed the scalp with the moisture it lost during scaling and shampooing. This is the step where the restoration really starts.
Step 12 | Soothing Pack Massage
![]()
A gentle massage to help the nourishing pack absorb properly, non-irritating and done with care.
![]()
After the massage, the stylist used professional equipment and a sheet to seal in steam, making sure the nutrients had time to sink in.
Step 13 | Finishing Head Spa Rinse
A final water-stream rinse to close out the spa phase. After this, we returned to the original seat for the last two steps.
Step 14 | Scalp Revitalizing Tonic
A tonic was applied thoroughly near the roots, delivering a cooling sensation and a strengthening effect. Even at this late stage of the treatment, the scalp still felt refreshed.
Step 15 | Post-Diagnosis and Results Check
The stylist ran the same scalp check from Step 1 again, this time to compare before and after.
![]()
The difference was visible. Areas that had shown redness and buildup looked settled and clean.
One session isn't a permanent fix, and the stylists are upfront about that. They recommend coming in about once a month to maintain scalp health over time.
![]()
After the diagnosis, we moved into finishing styling.
![]()
Our model asked for wave styling with an iron, and the designer shaped natural curls to suit her face, giving the whole look a softer, more polished finish before setting it with spray.
![]()
Most styling options are available, but updos or strong frizz-straightening treatments may carry an extra charge. Worth confirming at booking.
![]()
With hair feeling significantly softer and the styling done well, our model left very happy.
![]()
You can also pick up the scalp and hair care products used during the treatment directly at the salon, great if you want to keep the results going at home.
ARGYOL Myeongdong is one of the few places in Seoul where you can get a full 15-step head spa and still make it to dinner. Open until 10 PM, located a 1-minute walk from Myeongdong Station, and with luggage storage on-site, it fits into a travel schedule in a way most salons don't.
