JFeel Clinic Gangnam | Onda Laser Skin Tightening at an English-Speaking Seoul Dermatology Clinic

Hello, this is Creatrip, your go-to platform for up-to-date Korea travel tips, written by Koreans who actually live here.

If you've ever thought about getting a skin treatment while visiting Korea, you're not alone. Korean dermatology clinics are seriously on another level when it comes to personalized care and cutting-edge technology, which is exactly why so many international travelers make it a part of their trip.

Today, I want to share my experience at JFeel Clinic, which has branches in both Gangnam and Hongdae. As someone who's always a little nervous walking into a clinic, I was genuinely impressed by how smooth and stress-free the whole visit was.

My Visit

I visited the JFeel Clinic Gangnam Branch, about a 3-minute walk from Gangnam Station Exit 11.

JFeel Clinic is a dermatology clinic focused on personalized skin solutions! Every treatment is doctor-performed, and they really take the time to understand your specific concerns before jumping into anything.

| Waiting Area

The waiting area is clean, modern, and honestly way nicer than I expected. It felt more like walking into a high-end beauty salon than a medical clinic.

There's complimentary water and drinks, free Wi-Fi, and the vibe is calm and relaxed, which I really appreciated.

After checking in at the front desk, you fill in a quick intake form via QR code — your name, passport number, country of residence, treatments you're interested in, recent procedure history, etc. International visitors can complete the whole thing without any issue.

They also have treatment brochures available in four languages (English, Chinese, Thai, and Japanese), so you can take your time reading through everything before your consultation.

| Full Process Overview

Check-in → Wait → 1:1 Consultation → Consent Form → Change Clothes → Before Photos → Cleansing → Procedure → Post-treatment Care → After Photos → Change Back & Touch Up → Departure Guidance

Here's a breakdown of each step!

| 1:1 Consultation

When my name was called, I was brought into a private consultation room. I explained that my main concern was my chin — it's naturally on the shorter side, which makes it look like I have a bit of a double chin.

After listening carefully, consultant explained that my issue was more about reduced skin firmness than excess fat, so a treatment targeting elasticity and tightening would work better for me. They also mentioned that filler could be a nice follow-up option down the line.

| What is the Onda Lifting?

Based on the consultation, I went with the Onda Lifting. Before the procedure, consultant walked me through exactly what it does and I signed a consent form.

The Onda Lifting is a treatment that uses thermal energy to firm up the skin from within. It's especially effective if sagging is your main concern rather than having excess fat and what I liked is that results show up pretty quickly. For longer-lasting effects, they recommend three sessions spaced one month apart.

| Getting Ready for the Procedure

Before the treatment, I changed in a private locker area and removed all my accessories.

JFeel provides individual lockers with a passcode, so your belongings are safe the whole time.

They also took "before" photos — four shots from different angles, including front and side views — so you can do a proper before-and-after comparison later.

| The Procedure: Onda Lifting

The treatment was done in a private 1:1 room, which made the whole thing feel a lot more comfortable. Before starting, they did a gentle 5-minute cleansing to remove my makeup, so if you're coming straight from sightseeing with a full face on, don't worry about it.

The doctor went over the procedure one more time and asked me to point out any areas I was most concerned about. That extra attention to detail made me feel a lot more at ease.

After applying the clinic's own oil (gentle enough for sensitive skin, apparently even safe for babies), the doctor started the treatment. The device tip itself is cooled, so the surface of your skin feels cold while the thermal energy works underneath.

As the session went on, it got gradually warmer. The doctor explained that feeling that warmth is actually a sign it's working. Knowing that helped me stay relaxed instead of tensing up. The whole thing took about 10 minutes.

The energy was applied alternately across both sides (around the nasolabial folds, chin, and cheeks) to keep things safe and minimize any risk of irritation.

| Post-treatment Care

After the procedure, they wiped off the remaining oil, applied moisturizer, and finished with sunscreen. Quick, easy, and thorough.

They also took "after" photos before I headed back to the changing room.

| Changing Room & Amenities

The locker room was well-stocked and easy to use. I could wash my face and touch up before leaving.

So even if you're a little red or shiny after treatment, you'll leave looking put-together.

| Departure Guidance

Post-care instructions are available via QR code in multiple languages, so you can check them anytime even after you're back at your hotel (or back home).

They also sent me home with an ointment and a sheet mask to help soothe my skin. Honestly a nice little touch.

JFeel sent my before-and-after photos directly to my Whatsapp so I could check in on the results later. Not gonna lie, I was so impressed. I could already see a difference right after the session, exactly like the doctor said I would.
