Heeda Janggi Branch | Private One-Person Body Scrub
A moment that brightens even your skin, deep healing made just for me
When you are hopping from one packed stop to the next on your Korea trip, fatigue can build up fast.
At times like that, rather than just taking a break, you may find yourself wanting a treatment that properly refreshes and resets your body.
The place we are introducing today is the scrub spa “Heeda Janggi Branch,” located about a 20-minute drive from Gimpo Airport.
“Sesin” (Korean body scrubbing) is one of Korea’s signature bathhouse traditions. After soaking long enough, an attendant gently removes built-up dead skin cells from the surface of your skin, leaving your whole body feeling clean and refreshed. It goes beyond simply washing, many people come regularly for that head-to-toe reset.
Heeda offers not only basic sesin, but also circulation care (circulation management), so you can experience a deeper level of condition and body care. Another big plus is that it is done in a private space, so you can relax in a calm atmosphere without being mixed in with other people.
It felt like a great option for quickly getting your body back in shape, either before you start your trip or right before wrapping up your time in Korea.
If you want to experience Korea’s unique sesin culture in a cleaner, more comfortable setting, keep reading!

Heeda Janggi Branch | Our Visit

Today, we visited the private Korean body scrub shop “Heeda Janggi Branch”.
It is located about a 20-minute drive from Gimpo Airport, so it is an easy stop at the start or end of your trip.
The moment we stepped inside, we could naturally feel the atmosphere Heeda is trying to create.
Just like the phrase we saw at the entrance, “Perfect rest for you, more beautiful than flowers, Premium private 1-person body scrub shop Heeda,”
we got the impression that this is not just a place for a body scrub, it is a space where you can spend time entirely for yourself.
The space felt impressively neat and well organized as soon as we walked in, and it clearly seemed to be kept very clean, which made us feel even more at ease.
It is also a reservation-only private space, so it does not feel crowded, and you can focus on your treatment comfortably.
They also have menus in Japanese and English, so it seems easy for international visitors to use too!

Once you enter, you first change into neatly prepared slippers, and even in this small detail, you can feel how carefully everything is managed.
After changing into slippers, the manager kindly guided us inside.
In a relaxing atmosphere, we filled out a short questionnaire before the scrub, and from start to finish, it felt like they were paying attention to every detail.
The questionnaire was set up so you can choose everything yourself, from your welcome tea, the course for the day, the type of bath salts, and even the pressure for the final scrub massage.
Rather than just following a fixed program, the fact that it can be finely adjusted to your preferences and condition was especially impressive.
Even before the treatment began, it already felt like we were receiving personalized care, which made us even more excited, and overall it felt like a system you can trust.
In the lounge where you fill out the questionnaire, tea and coffee are also prepared for guests, so you can relax comfortably.
We were able to slowly fill it out while sipping a drink in an unhurried atmosphere, and it naturally helped both body and mind relax even before the treatment.
It was impressive how thoughtful they were even about small details, and it felt like a place that values “rest,” not just body scrubs.
Because Heeda is a private scrub shop, each treatment area is separated into individual rooms, which made it even more comfortable.
Not being bothered by other people’s eyes or noise felt like a major plus, you can truly enjoy your own time.
After completing the questionnaire, we were guided to our private room, where we could change and store our belongings.

The treatment I received today was the “Heeda Signature Course,” and the total time was about 110 minutes.
The course included a bath and body scrub, facial cleansing and peeling, hair and scalp care, back steam care, a handmade black sugar scrub, a collagen modeling pack, and a full-body massage using lavender oil.
The first step began with “Heeda Circulation Care.”
Before the body scrub, it is a preparation process meant to release tension and stabilize your condition.
It consisted of a dry half-bath, LED red therapy, and a hand massage, it felt like the warmth gradually relaxed the body while helping circulation.
As my body warmed up during the half-bath, the tension naturally melted away, and it felt like my condition was gently being reset before the main treatment.
Since LED therapy is meant to soothe and help recovery, the overall feeling was very much like resting in a calm, comfortable atmosphere.

With the hand massage added on, it already felt healing even though it was just the beginning.
Your hands actually build up more fatigue than you might expect, and as the machine pressed and released in a detailed way, we could feel the stiffness easing naturally.
The pressure was comfortable and not too strong, which made it easy to focus on relaxing.

The entire hand massage was done using a machine, but it did not feel rushed at all, it felt very thorough and careful.
After the massage, you could still see the marks left on the hands, so you could really tell the pressure was working, overall it felt like a solid, effective treatment.
Even though it was machine-based, the pressure and rhythm were steady and consistent, which actually made it feel like it released tension even deeper, and we could clearly feel the tightness in the hands and arms ease up.

And now, we finally moved on to the body scrub stage I was most excited about.
This was the part I was most curious about and looking forward to, so I felt excited even before it began.
If everything so far was about relaxing the body and resetting your condition, from here is where the real skin care begins.
From here, I will walk you through each step of the scrub process in detail, and also honestly share how it felt as I experienced it myself!

First, we started with a bath to soften dead skin and relax the body.
For about 15 minutes, I soaked in a tub specifically for softening dead skin, an essential step before a Korean body scrub.
During this time, the director prepared a lavender bath soak, and the subtle scent was wonderful.
Soaking in warm water while breathing in the lavender scent naturally eased tension, it already felt healing even before the main treatment.
Based on the questionnaire, the director prepared hibiscus tea for me.
Hibiscus tea is a caffeine-free herbal tea, and it is known to help with dieting, vascular health, and skin care.
Drinking cool tea while soaking in warm water created a refreshing contrast that felt even more relaxing.
It was a very satisfying time where my body loosened up naturally and even my mood felt reset.
There was also an hourglass next to the tub so you can keep track of time while soaking at your own pace, and the overall layout and interior were designed to feel soothing, so it felt calming the entire time.

After about 15 minutes of soaking, the scrub therapist came in and prepared for the main scrub.
All the tools and equipment were neatly organized, and everything clearly felt well sanitized, which made us feel even more comfortable.
Even before the scrub started, you could tell they take hygiene seriously, which built trust.
First, the therapist applied soap foam all over my body, then began the scrub using a traditional Korean exfoliating towel.
The scrub started from the feet and moved up step by step, it was fast-paced overall, but they kept checking the pressure throughout, so it felt comfortable.
The hands were quick but skilled, so it felt like I was getting thorough care in a short time, and the pressure adjustment was very thoughtful, which made it easy to relax.
After that, we naturally changed positions as the scrub continued, and the movements were so smooth and uninterrupted that it felt very comfortable.
They were especially thorough with removing dead skin on the soles of my feet, so it felt like they were taking care of areas that are hard to manage on your own.
After finishing the legs, it naturally moved on to the arms.
Because I had soaked long enough beforehand and the dead skin was softened, it did not feel harsh or painful at all during the scrub.
If anything, it felt like everything was being gently smoothed out, which made it very comfortable.
If there was any discomfort or pain, I could say so right away, and the therapist immediately adjusted the pressure, which made it even easier to relax.

After the full-body scrub, I took a full-body shower to rinse off all the exfoliated dead skin.
While I was showering, the therapist tidied up the bed and the surrounding area for the next steps, so I did not have to wait and could move right on.
After the shower, the therapist covered my whole body with a warm towel.
It felt like a thoughtful touch to prevent my body temperature from dropping, which made it even more comfortable.
The warmth naturally released any remaining tension, and it felt like it was resetting my body once more before moving into the massage stage.
The massage focused on pressing into the shoulders, legs, and hips.
The pressure felt deep, like it was loosening the muscles, and it felt like built-up fatigue was gradually melting away.
They pressed carefully area by area to ease tension, and after the scrub made my body feel lighter, the massage made it feel even more relaxed.

Next came the oil massage stage.
One special thing about Heeda is that they have their own handmade black sugar scrub made with natural ingredients.
In this step, they used 100% natural essential oils for a gentle, non-irritating treatment, so even those with sensitive skin can receive it comfortably.
They explained that the black sugar scrub smooths and refines dead skin one more time, while the oil massage leaves your skin even softer and more moisturized.
After the oil massage, they poured the black sugar scrub over my whole body.
A sweet, subtle scent filled the room, it smelled so good that it felt like my mood was being healed along with my body.
They said black sugar scrub is a natural exfoliant rich in minerals and vitamins, designed to gently remove built-up dead skin while minimizing irritation.
Because it also contains moisturizing ingredients, my skin felt smoother and more hydrated afterward, and they mentioned that with regular care, it can also help improve skin tone and hydration.
The massage covered not only the arms and legs, but also the shoulders and neck.
After the full-body acupressure massage, they moved on to gua sha care.
Because it was done when my body was already fully relaxed, it felt like it released tension even more deeply.
They explained that gua sha helps promote blood and lymph circulation to reduce swelling and ease muscle tension, and it can also improve complexion and overall condition.
As the session went on, I could genuinely feel my body getting lighter and tight areas loosening gently.
It was not harsh, but still worked deeply, so it was easy to receive, and it felt like a finishing step that refined the body one more time after the scrub and massage.
After that, there was a special step where milk was poured over the whole body.
Maybe because dead skin had already been removed, it felt like the milk softly wrapped my skin, adding a moisturizing and brightening effect.
They explained that this step is for the “milky-glow skin” effect, smoothing the skin and making it look brighter and clearer.
It felt comfortable and non-irritating as a finish, so it was a highly satisfying step all the way to the end.
After tidying my hair neatly, it naturally continued into a facial massage, and the careful, detailed care made it even more satisfying.
Next, they applied a mud pack to soothe and moisturize the skin.
While the pack was on, the therapist gave me another massage, which was great because even the waiting time felt well used.
It was a step where the pack calmed the skin while the massage added on, creating a feeling of deep rest overall.
After removing the mud pack, cleansing was done along with a refreshing scalp massage, and it felt like even my scalp was left clean and reset, making the finish feel fresh to the very end.

After everything was finished, my body felt noticeably lighter, and with the final stretching added on, it truly felt like I had properly healed and recharged.

After the session, there was a full-body dryer prepared near the entrance.
Using it together with a towel helps you dry quickly, so you can change comfortably.
Outside, there was a neat powder room area.
A variety of items were thoughtfully prepared, so you can get ready comfortably after your treatment.
They also had a variety of hair tools, so you can style your hair however you like.
They even had hair oil, so you can smooth and tame your hair after the scrub and finish styling neatly.
They also had sunscreen ready as well, which was impressive because you can use it right away before heading out after your treatment.
After everything was done, the director prepared yakgwa (traditional Korean honey cookies) and sikhye (sweet rice punch), classic Korean desserts.
Enjoying sweet yakgwa with refreshing sikhye, we were able to wrap up the day’s care at a relaxed pace.

And that is how today’s Korean body scrub experience came to an end.
It was even more impressive because it elevated traditional Korean body scrubbing culture into something more premium, raising the entire experience to the next level.
It went beyond simple exfoliation and felt like a complete healing course, so overall satisfaction was very high.
If you want to truly relax and heal through a Korean body scrub, we would love to recommend Heeda as a comfortable rest course just for you!
