Private Body Scrub La:Hin | A Refined Private Seshin Experience

When your schedule gets packed during a trip to Korea, your body can get tired easily, and that's when you need a treatment that helps you refresh and reset your condition more thoroughly.

So today I’m going to introduce 'Private Body Scrub La:Hin', a private body scrub located in Chungmuro, Seoul!

Sesin(Korea Body Scrub) is one of Korea's signature bathing traditions, a care treatment that tidies up old dead skin on the surface and leaves the whole body clean and refreshed.

More than just washing, it’s a treatment many people return to regularly for the feeling of having their body refreshed and reset.

In particular, La:Hin is a Private Body Scrub you can use privately, so you won’t mix with others and can receive care in a calm atmosphere.

After the treatment, my skin felt more refined, so I found this course suitable for quickly refreshing your condition.

If you want to experience the Sesin culture unique to Korea in a more comfortable setting, be sure to pay attention to this post!

Private Body Scrub La:Hin | Our Visit

Today I visited La:Hin, a women-only private body scrub shop located in Chungmuro.

It's near Chungmuro Station, so it's easy to pop in while you're out and not far from other nearby plans.

When you arrive at the building and enter the designated space, you can immediately find the entrance to La:Hin.

The space has a clean, calm atmosphere overall, so it felt comfortable from the moment I walked in and easy to relax during the treatment.

At the entrance, take off your shoes and change into the indoor slippers before going inside.

The moment I stepped inside, I noticed a neat, well-organized space and a calm interior.

The soft, quiet atmosphere helped me relax naturally from the moment I entered.

Each area is kept spotless, which inspired confidence in the hygiene, and the environment was well set up for a comfortable stay.

First, you fill out a questionnaire to check your current skin condition and the type of treatment you want.

You can choose the intensity of the Sesin, the oils to use, and the care options yourself, so it was great that you can get treatment tailored to your personal condition!

The information you provide is reflected in later care, so the whole process followed a more organized structure.

Our editor chose this course because it includes aromatherapy oil care and a full-body massage, so we thought it would provide deeper relaxation.

The bath additives are divided into lavender, lemon, and tea tree, so you can smell them and choose the type you want.

Each bath additive has different benefits, so it was nice to be able to pick one based on your condition or skin type.

Lavender helps relieve tension and supports sleep, lemon has a refreshing scent that’s good for waking up your energy,

and tea tree is known for soothing skin and helping with acne care, so it’s a good choice depending on your skin condition.

Our editor chose lemon, thinking its fresh scent would help lift their mood!

This is the changing room of Private Body Scrub La:Hin.

The changing room was well stocked with everything you need, from towels to body lotion, cleansing wipes, and panty liners.

Everything was prepared in detail so you can use it right after your treatment, so you don’t need to bring anything, which felt convenient.

They even had a dry device to quickly dry your body, so the finishing touches were neat, which felt thoughtful.

The changing area also includes a Styler, so you can keep your clothes neat before and after treatment.

It’s designed not just for storage but to care for garment condition too, which made the whole experience feel more comfortable.

You store your clothes in a personal locker and set a passcode, so you can feel secure about safety.

The changing room has instructions on how to use the facility in multiple languages, so even first-time visitors can understand easily.

After changing into the provided clothes, just put on the bathroom slippers and you're all set.

After that, the head manager will prepare for the Sesin.

There is also a separate double room available, so you can use the space that way.

The bathtub and care area are arranged side by side, so it seemed great for visiting with a friend or family member and receiving treatment together.

Our editor used a single room, and the bathing setup was neatly prepared like this.

A bath product that I chose myself was placed on the tub, and the included omija tea was available to drink, so I could relax and enjoy myself while bathing.

A neck support cushion was also set up, and I could tell they paid careful attention so it wouldn’t be uncomfortable even when lying down for a long time.

The sesin room was kept clean overall, and I immediately felt the pleasant atmosphere as soon as I entered.

Everything was organized with no signs of use, which gave me confidence in the hygiene, and it strongly felt like the place is well managed.

The whole space is bright and tidy, so you can stay comfortably without any inconvenience while receiving care!

The products in use were neatly arranged, and body wash, shampoo, and conditioner were all prepared so they were easy to see at a glance.

I also noticed a variety of oils available for care, like aroma, jojoba, collagen, and placenta, showing a diverse product lineup used during treatments.

First, I spent about 15 minutes enjoying a half-body bath in the tub to loosen up my body.

I had mixed a lemon bath product I preselected in the survey into the water, and its subtle, refreshing scent helped me naturally unwind.

I was able to spend a leisurely time sipping the provided omija tea.

They even put a thermometer in the bathtub so I could keep the water at a comfortable temperature while soaking!

After the bath, when you lie down on the Sesin table, the Private Body Scrub treatment officially begins.

They draped warm, moist towels over my whole body to keep my temperature from dropping, and they took care to make sure I stayed warm throughout the treatment.

Before your Sesin, be sure to wash your hair with shampoo as well.

The staff took care of everything thoroughly, so I could relax and enjoy the service without any effort.

After that, they put on a hair cap to keep your hair dry, then thoroughly cleanse your face first.

While cleansing, they lightly massage along your facial contours, then follow with a brief hot compress to relax the skin one more time.

Next they apply a modeling mask, and the instant it touches you you can feel a cool sensation, which made me very satisfied since it felt like both my body and face were being cared for together.

Now the Sesin begins in earnest, starting from the feet and moving through the whole body to remove dead skin.

Please make sure to thoroughly clean areas that are easy to miss, like between the toes, as well as the feet, legs, and arms.

The Sesin isn’t done in just one position, the therapist changes positions intermittently to provide even care across the entire body.

In the survey I could choose the Sesin intensity beforehand, so the treatment was done at a level that suited me and I could get it without any worry.

It wasn’t a harsh, intense feeling, but a gentle pushing motion that didn’t hurt, and overall it felt refreshingly tidy.

As the built-up dead skin was cleared away all at once, my skin felt noticeably lighter and refreshed!

After that I flipped over and they continued with back care.

At this time they covered and secured a mesh over the modeling mask on my face so it wouldn’t run, so I could relax without discomfort.

The back is a spot that’s hard to take care of on your own, but they thoroughly worked over the wide area and it felt like an even, overall treatment.

After that, you turn back to face forward and additional Sesin is performed.

Roughly three rounds of exfoliation are repeated overall, and each area is carefully revisited so nothing is missed.

When the Sesin is finished, warm water is used to rinse the entire body clean before moving on to the next step.

They followed with a final step using body wash to tidy everything up once more.

They lathered up well and gently rinsed the skin again, so it felt like a clean finish after the Sesin.

For areas with heavy dead skin build-up, like the heels, they use a dedicated stone to smooth them out one more time.

Because they focus more intensively than a typical Sesin, rough areas felt much smoother and more refined.

After the Sesin is finished, preparations for the massage take place.

At this time, you can rinse the foam off in the shower area set up nearby.

The hot towels used are taken from a warmer and are thoroughly heated.

They’re not just mildly warm, they stay warm for a long time, so you feel the heat the moment they touch your skin.

Because the sesin room is warm and they re-cover you with hot towels throughout the treatment, your body stays cozy the whole time, making the experience much more comfortable.

Please perform a full-body massage while the hot towel is in place.

Keeping the warmth while applying pressure made my muscles naturally loosen up.

The firm pressing with hands delivered clear stimulation, and the accumulated fatigue felt like it released all at once.

Because they use body weight to press down, the stimulation reached deep muscles, which felt especially refreshing.

Please perform a full-body massage using aromatic oil.

The scent and absorption of the essential oil nourish the skin and help relax the body and mind.

Thanks to the oil’s smooth glide, the treatment continues without irritating the skin, and the therapist’s pressure flows naturally to ease even the tightest muscles, which is a big plus.

It finishes without dryness, leaving your skin moist, and you can feel balanced relief from fatigue overall.

During the massage, as shown in the photos, they thoroughly care for your neck, back, waist, legs, and feet, leaving no area untouched, and I was pleased that they carefully addressed spots that are hard to pay attention to in daily life.

They also use scraping-like sweeping pressure similar to gua sha from time to time, and during this step the stiff areas released pleasantly and the swelling seemed to go down.

In the finishing stage, they rinse your hair clean and give you one more back massage.

With your scalp refreshed, the follow-up back massage releases any remaining tension and completes the overall treatment.

Afterward, in the shower area they thoroughly rinse off the remaining oil and foam, leaving you feeling refreshed.

When you come out, there’s a drying device so you can quickly dry your body, which is convenient, and body lotion is provided so customers are well taken care of.

The used towels can be placed in a dedicated towel bin, and they’re separated for cleaning, so it felt hygienically managed.

After the treatment, you can dry and tidy your hair in the separate powder room.

The whole space is neatly arranged, and each seat has a mirror and tools, so multiple people can use it at the same time without inconvenience.

All the hair dryers are Dyson models, and there are different types available so you can choose the one that fits your desired style.

Also, basic care items like cotton swabs, toner, essence, hair essence, and sunscreen are all provided, so you can get ready without bringing anything extra.

Product labels are displayed in English and Japanese as well, making it easy for foreign visitors to use.

Our editor used various Dyson hair dryers and styling tools to dry and tidy up her hair, then finished getting ready to go out.

Just behind, there was a separate space to place personal items, so it was convenient to leave your belongings and use the area comfortably!

Once we were ready, they served snacks and banana milk together.

In Korea, there’s a culture of enjoying banana milk after bathing or a sesin.

Having this kind of offering included let us naturally experience Korean-style spa culture, and I liked that they paid attention to small details.

There’s also coffee and tea bags available for free use.

Also, the refrigerator is stocked with various drinks, so you can choose an extra beverage, pay, and enjoy it.

It’s comfortable to stay after the treatment, so the editor relaxed for a while after the sesin before leaving.

And that’s how today’s sesin and aroma massage care at La:Hin ended.

After carefully removing dead skin with the sesin, the massage followed, so it felt like my overall condition was refreshed at once.

It’s a private, one-on-one setup, so each area gets focused, intensive care, and the treatment flows smoothly from sesin to massage.

If you want care-focused sesin rather than just a bath, or if you want to experience Korea’s sesin culture, I recommend La:Hin!
