9.81 Park | Our Visit

When you think of Jeju Island, the stunning views of the blue sea and Hallasan Mountain are the first things that come to mind.

However, on this trip, I wanted to experience a different side of Jeju.

Today, our editor and their group visited Jeju 9.81 Park.

This is not just an ordinary theme park—it's a smart experience space where speed, technology, and Jeju's natural beauty come together.

If you're looking for a fun and unique experience in Jeju, 9.81 Park is definitely a place worth visiting.

From the moment we entered, the variety of attractions heightened our anticipation and made the start of this Jeju trip even more exciting!

This time, I booked the full package to fully enjoy 9.81 Park.

The full package includes a gravity racing experience with different courses, as well as the indoor bumper cars Ringggo, the laser survival game Pro Arena, and the 360-degree swing ride,

And with indoor screen sports games included, you can enjoy a full day of diverse activities.

Let me introduce the experiences we enjoyed throughout the day!

At first, I was curious about the meaning behind the name 9.81 Park, and after looking it up, I found out that it comes from the gravitational acceleration of 9.81 m/s².

A race that relies solely on gravity, without the use of an accelerator pedal,

With just the use of the brakes, you can reach speeds of up to 40 km/h on Courses 1 and 2, 35 km/h on Course 3, and up to 60 km/h on the X Course, following the natural slope of the terrain. I was excited even before getting on.

The admission process was actually much simpler than I expected.

At first, they put a wristband on you, and with this system, you can enter each game simply by tagging your wristband at the entrance, without having to show a separate ticket every time.

Since you can move right on to the next activity without any complicated procedures, the waiting time is reduced and the overall flow feels very smooth.

We first tried out the gravity racing course at 9.81 Park.

The racing course is divided into Course 1, Course 2, and Course 3, and each course has a distinctly different feel, so it was fun to compare them one by one as we rode.

Course 1 is the most basic course, making it easy for first-timers to enjoy without any pressure.

It's perfect for getting used to brake control and the feel of driving.

I was a bit nervous since it was my first time racing, but once I tried it, I found it much more approachable than I expected, making it the perfect beginner course.

The racing itself was fun, but the scenery along the course made the whole experience feel even more impressive.

What was especially fascinating was what happened after crossing the finish line.

From that moment, the cart began to drive itself automatically, so there was no need to steer—the cart adjusted its direction and moved on its own.

Even beginners can finish the race without much difficulty.

Course 2 has a much more winding layout, so rather than simply focusing on speed, how you tackle each corner is much more important.

Since it was my second time racing, I was much more comfortable with the controls than before, so I felt less nervous and could really feel the speed.

In the series of continuous curves, I naturally found myself focusing, unable to let my guard down for even a moment, which actually made the experience even more thrilling.

And among the three courses, the one that stood out to me the most was definitely Course 3!

If you shout above a certain decibel level at the beginning of the ride, the booster function activates. Since everyone started off by shouting together, the atmosphere instantly became lively and the racing felt much more exciting right from the start.

It made us laugh and helped us relax, so we naturally became much more immersed in the experience.

Course 3 was even better because it was a two-seater vehicle.

The driver can fully experience the thrill of speed and control, while those seated in the back can comfortably take in the wide views of Jeju’s scenery, allowing everyone to enjoy the racing in completely different ways.

So I thought this course is really perfect for enjoying with family, friends, or your significant other.

From my own experience, there is one thing I would definitely like to recommend.

We recommend downloading the 9.81 Park app in advance before you start enjoying the park in earnest.

Your racing moments are automatically recorded, so you can check your race videos and results for free, making the experience much more immersive as you play.

You can also check the real-time rankings right away, so it's a lot of fun to enjoy some friendly competition by comparing your scores with your group or friends!

After enjoying the racing, we headed to the indoor game zone this time.

The first experience we tried was RINGGGO.

RINGGGO is a slightly different style of bumper car game where you can bounce, bump, and have fun.

You control the direction with a joystick, bump into other bumper cars to earn points, and compete for a top spot on the leaderboard. The competitive aspect made it more fun than I expected.

When we visited, there happened to be a Pokémon collaboration event going on, so some of the bumper cars had Pokémon characters riding in them.

Just looking at it is adorable, and the atmosphere feels even more lively.

Moreover, if you hit the bumper car that a specific Pokémon is riding when that Pokémon appears on the screen, you can earn bonus points.

It's not just about rushing in; you end up playing naturally and strategically.

It was much more fun than a simple bumper car game.

Next, we tried out PRO ARENA.

As soon as I entered, I could immediately sense a distinctly different atmosphere from the previous exhibitions, which made me feel a bit nervous even before it began.

PRO ARENA is an indoor laser survival game where you can't let your guard down for a single moment from the very start of the game.

With plenty of hiding spots and cover, it’s not just a simple shooting game—you really have to carefully plan your movements and timing, so it required a lot of concentration.

If you enjoy FPS games, you’ll probably find this especially fun.

For reference, filming is not allowed inside PRO ARENA, so we were unable to capture any footage during gameplay.

So all the photos shared above were taken from outside.

The tension and sense of immersion you feel inside can only be truly understood by experiencing it for yourself!

SPORT LAB is a place where you can enjoy thrilling screen sports.

From familiar games that everyone has probably tried at least once, like soccer or pitching, to more challenging ones, you can choose and play 2 out of a total of 15 different interactive games.

Because it uses a large screen, you can actually move your body while playing, making it much more immersive than you might expect.

Not only are there classic sports like soccer, basketball, bowling, and table tennis, but also a wide variety of games such as skiing, curling, archery, slingshot, duck hunting, horseback riding, action racing, jump jump, pinball, and clay shooting—there were so many options that it was hard to decide which game to play.

We started by trying out the soccer game, and our group had such a great time that the atmosphere at the venue became even more lively.

Another convenient feature was that if the game you wanted to play was full, you could use your wristband to join the waiting list.

It was great to be able to enjoy other activities while waiting, making efficient use of our time.

When we visited, a Pokémon collaboration event was taking place, so the entire park was decorated in an adorable way.

There are plenty of photo spots throughout the venue that are perfect for taking pictures and making memories, which made it even more enjoyable. The fun of taking photos added to the overall satisfaction.

The cute atmosphere and variety of experiences made this visit feel even more special, and I naturally found myself wanting to come back again.

Not only are there a variety of activities, but there are also plenty of dining areas throughout the park, so we were able to spend the whole day there comfortably.

In addition to racing, there were so many other things to enjoy that we were able to take our time and relax at restaurants or cafes along the way,

At the brand store, Space Cup, we found exclusive items that are only available at 9.81 Park!

A day at 9.81 Park, where you can eat, have fun, and explore—everything in one place—was truly fulfilling and satisfying!

You can also use the free luggage storage service for convenient travel.

Since the park offers free luggage storage, you can conveniently leave your belongings at any time during operating hours.

It was great because you can enjoy your visit without worrying about your luggage, making it a perfect stop in the middle of your trip.

With that, all of the day's experiences have come to an end.

Overall, there were so many truly refreshing experiences, and the flow and way of using the facilities were smooth, so I was able to have a great time all day long.

If I come back to Jeju Island again, I think this will be a must-visit spot that I’ll definitely want to return to.

Especially if you’re planning a relaxed, multi-day trip to Jeju, we can confidently recommend that 9.81 Park is a place you absolutely won’t regret choosing!
