Our Visit

Today, we tried the Calming Head Spa at "Lee Chul Hair KerKer Gangnam Branch" located near Gangnam Station.

It is located a 5-minute walk from Exit 11 of Gangnam Station, making it easy to find even for first-time visitors.

Above all, there are plenty of shopping spots nearby, and many attractions popular with international tourists are clustered in the area, making it a great location to seamlessly fit a care appointment into your travel itinerary.

This salon has been a staple in Gangnam for over 20 years, so even on my first visit, I could naturally sense the trust that comes from being loved for such a long time.

As soon as I entered the store, I felt a sophisticated atmosphere.

The interior, with its harmonious blend of white and orange tones, was clean and easy on the eyes, and there was a spacious waiting area where you could sit and relax comfortably.

The sofa was soft and comfortable, and since you could freely drink water, it felt like they paid attention to even the smallest details.

On one side, Kerastase products are displayed, which made me look forward to experiencing top-quality hair care using the best products.

After our visit, the first thing we did was store our luggage.

There was a dedicated space inside the store where you could store your belongings.

Since you set your own password to use it, the process was simple, and there were instructions provided, so it wasn't difficult at all even for first-time users.

Above all, the lockers are quite spacious, so even bulky items like shopping bags or coats fit inside easily.

It was really convenient because I could leave my luggage without worry even when I had a lot during my trip, and the locking system was secure, so I felt safe in terms of security as well.

After safely storing your belongings, change into the gown provided for the procedure.

Once you have changed into the gown and are ready, please guide the guest to their seat.

My assigned seat was by the window, and as soon as I sat down, I was greeted with a refreshing view overlooking the bustling streets of Gangnam Station.

The calm atmosphere of the salon and the lively street outside created a harmonious balance, making me feel relaxed even before my treatment began.

We received a brief explanation about the calming head spa we’ll be doing today.

The program I received was a calming head spa consisting of 15 steps in total, and the first step was a detailed scalp analysis.

Since the direction of care varies depending on the condition of your scalp, we first performed a scalp analysis to ensure an accurate head spa!

They explained everything step by step while showing me the condition of my scalp on an enlarged screen, which made it easy to understand.

Our editor's scalp was a healthy bluish-white color, and they said that only a small amount of dead skin caused by the changing seasons needed to be managed.

After taking a close look at the condition of my scalp before the actual treatment, I became even more excited for the calming head spa I was about to receive!

The calming head spa was carried out using the 'GENEMORI' device.

The 'GENEMORI' device uses patented technology not only to treat hair loss but also to nourish the scalp and hair, helping you maintain a healthy scalp and fuller hair.

A variety of aroma oils were available, tailored to different scalp conditions such as hair loss, sensitivity, and dandruff!

Orange is for dandruff, purple is for sensitivity and dryness, and red is an aroma oil suitable for oily scalp and hair loss.

Step 2 is a scalp aromatherapy treatment based on the results of your scalp analysis.

The diagnosis showed that our editor has "sensitive skin," so we proceeded with a soothing aroma care treatment tailored to this type!

They recommended the type of aroma tailored to my scalp condition, so I was able to receive care comfortably without having to worry about it myself.

When the aroma oil was applied to my scalp, a subtle, refreshing sensation spread, and I immediately felt relaxed.

Aroma oils are said to help prevent hair loss, promote blood circulation, relieve stress, and aid in detoxification!

Step 3 is the scalp detox stage.

In the absorption phase,LED BrushThey used it to apply gentle pressure for about 5 minutes, allowing it to deeply penetrate. I thought it would hurt, but it was actually less stimulating than I expected and felt rather refreshing.

The LED brush uses bioelectric currents to aid in the absorption of aromatherapy, while the scalp gua sha helps relieve tension, promote the removal of waste, improve blood circulation, and prevent hair loss.

The red LED is said to open blood vessels and promote blood circulation, while the blue LED helps with absorption and hydration through the opened blood vessels.

Because it was customized care tailored to my scalp condition, I could really feel the effects!

The most fascinating and impressive thing during the procedure was definitely the "grounding rod."

When performing the procedure, you hold the grounding rod in your hand, which is said to deliver the bio-negative ion effect to your scalp by utilizing your own bioelectric current.

It felt scientific, and at the same time, as if I were receiving personalized care tailored to the condition of my body and scalp!

In addition, they explained each step of the procedure, so I was able to clearly understand which stage I was receiving.

Thanks to this, I felt carefully cared for throughout the entire procedure, and it was an experience that greatly increased both my understanding and satisfaction with the treatment.

In step 4, a deep pore cleansing scalp scaling was performed to loosen dead skin cells and impurities from the scalp.

Usually, scalp scaling treatments are alkaline and can irritate the scalp, but at 'Lee Chul Hair Kerker Gangnam Branch', they use an acidic scaling method, which is less irritating and reportedly more effective.

This gentle peeling gel, made with natural mint, rosemary, and fruit acids, thoroughly cleanses pores and soothes and hydrates the scalp.

It is said to help relieve itching, soothe inflammation, and care for oily scalps.

We wrapped the scalp with a towel for about five minutes to let it soak thoroughly, which helped gently remove dead skin cells and impurities.

The next step, Step 5, is the Trapezius Relaxation Heat Massage, which gently loosens the muscles at the back of your neck and scalp.

First, a special oil is applied to the back of the neck and scalp. This oil contains menthol, which is said to have analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects!

Next, they used a thermal galvanic microcurrent device to gently stimulate the scalp, which helped relax the tense muscles in my shoulders and neck, making me feel the accumulated fatigue melt away.

I remember being told that relaxing the muscles clustered on the scalp promotes blood flow, which supplies oxygen to the scalp and also helps improve skin elasticity!

Especially behind the ears is a sensitive area often referred to as the "trash can," where fatigue tends to accumulate, so it can be painful for some people.

Next, a machine with suction functionality was used on my neck and shoulders.

I felt a slight suction sensation on my skin along with gentle vibrations, and it seemed like my tense muscles were gradually relaxing.

After the massage, your skin may become slightly red, but this is a natural reaction and nothing to worry about.

I thought it would be especially good for those who feel stiffness in their neck and shoulders from working on the computer or using a smartphone!

Sixth, before starting the shampoo, they used a mist steamer for a steam treatment.

It is said to enhance the effects of the scaling agent with warm steam, gently dissolving sebum and dead skin cells to help remove impurities.

It also helps to hydrate and promote blood circulation, resulting in a healthier scalp.

Thanks to the gradually rising warm steam, my entire scalp felt gently heated and relaxed.

While the steam was running, they prepared drinks for us!

Thanks to this, I was able to relax comfortably and wasn’t bored at all during the procedure.

Seventh, we had a stem cell shampoo bubble spa treatment right at our seats.

This shampoo is made with EWG Green Grade ingredients and is free from silicones and sulfates, so its rich micro-foam cleanses your scalp thoroughly.

Stem cells, biotin, and peptide ingredients help strengthen the scalp barrier and are also said to aid in preventing hair loss and reinforcing hair roots.

The gentle scratching sensation on my scalp felt incredibly refreshing and invigorating, giving me a sense of lightness as if old dead skin cells and impurities were being washed away.

The eighth step is the Galvanic Y-Bar Head Spa Massage.

The (+) ion action of galvanic ions deeply cleanses the pores and gently relaxes the tense scalp.

The machine massaged my scalp, delivering a deep and gentle refreshing sensation unique to machines that was different from a hand massage and spread across my entire scalp!

Scalp care using bioelectric currents only works when the person receiving the treatment is holding the device in their hand.

It was truly fascinating to see the machine’s immediate response when holding it versus not holding it!

We moved to the shampoo room, where they rinsed out the shampoo applied earlier, officially beginning the ninth step: the Water Healing Spa.

The water healing spa is a stage where falling water stimulates the scalp and activates blood circulation.

By adding infrared light here, it helps promote scalp blood circulation, similar to physical therapy.

The warm water and the sound of falling water felt just like ASMR, so our editor actually dozed off for a bit...

I realized for the first time that just taking care of my scalp could be so healing and relieve my fatigue!

The tenth step is the collagen scalp pack step.

During the step where the collagen scalp pack was applied, we mixed in some aroma oil with the scalp pack.

Green tea water and low-molecular collagen soothe and moisturize the scalp, while biotin and panthenol help promote hair growth and provide nourishment.

The session began with the application of aroma oil to the temples, and as the deep, subtle scent unique to aroma oil spread, I felt a sense of calm wash over me.

Just the scent alone made me feel calm, and thanks to the aroma oil, I was able to experience both scalp soothing and a healing effect.

The soothing scalp pack provided an instant cooling sensation as soon as I applied it.

I could feel the heat in my scalp gradually subsiding, and thanks to the careful and meticulous application with a brush, I was able to enjoy a comfortable treatment without any scalp irritation.

They applied a rose-scented treatment to my hair.

As soon as I applied it, the subtle floral scent refreshed my senses and gave me a feeling of relaxation.

After applying the pack, we waited for a while and then finished with a scalp massage.

Instead of just pressing randomly, they carefully found and pressed each sore spot, and thanks to their many years of experience, it felt like they knew exactly how to adjust the pressure and target the right points.

Not only did they thoroughly massage my scalp, but they also applied firm pressure to my neck, leaving both my head and neck feeling noticeably lighter and more relaxed.

It really felt like all my accumulated fatigue just melted away~!

I returned to my seat, and they applied heat protectant and dried my hair.

Step 12 involved applying the Human NK Immune Cell Tonic.

This is a process where tonic is sprayed onto the scalp like a mist and absorbed for care.

A tonic containing over 520 types of growth factors is said to help prevent hair loss and also has a soothing effect on the scalp.

When I sprayed the tonic on my scalp, I felt a cool, refreshing sensation as if the heat on my scalp was subsiding.

The 13th step involved using a T-shaped galvanic wand to help the skin absorb nutrients.

The (-) ion action of the galvanic ion helps the tonic’s ingredients absorb deeply into the pores.

It boasts an absorption rate approximately 189 times higher than conventional application methods, maximizing the effectiveness of scalp care.

Step 14 is the aftercare scalp diagnosis.

We took new scalp photos to compare the condition before and after the treatment, allowing us to directly observe improvements in scalp health and pores.

I could definitely see that the dead skin cells and redness had visibly subsided compared to before the treatment!

I could really feel that my condition noticeably improved after just one treatment.

If you receive it regularly, I think you'll definitely see even greater changes.

The final step 15 is styling.

They neatly styled my hair with a blow dryer, so I didn’t have to worry about my look getting messy during my trip—in fact, I left looking even better than when I arrived.

After the treatment, my hair definitely felt smoother and more manageable, and the scalp itchiness I used to worry about disappeared, which was truly amazing.

It is said to help cool down the scalp in the summer, and in the winter and during seasonal changes, it helps moisturize and nourish the scalp as well as manage dead skin cells.

I was extremely satisfied with both the treatment and the atmosphere, which were designed above all to provide a sense of healing and comfort during the calming head spa.

In bustling Gangnam, known for shopping and sightseeing, I really appreciated that there’s a treatment like this where you can quietly relax and recharge.

They carefully checked at each step to ensure there was no discomfort, and explained the effects and process of the procedure, so I felt like I was receiving professional care beyond just a simple treatment!!
