Today I visited the K-POP accessory shop 'OREN' located in Myeong-dong!
It sits in the heart of Myeong-dong’s liveliest street, and the large, eye-catching sign made it easy to find.
If you're visiting Myeong-dong during your trip to Korea, it's worth stopping by.
The store interior was clean and well organized, which made me feel good as soon as I walked in.
It was filled with a wide range of items needed for fandom, like uchiwa (cheering fans), photocard holders, and custom merch.
For K-POP lovers, it's truly a paradise.

Merch was beautifully displayed throughout the store.
With each step I took, new items caught my eye, making browsing a lot of fun.
When you find your bias among the countless celebrity goods, it feels like a treasure hunt and is so enjoyable!
There was also a cute, colorful photo zone like this, so it seemed perfect for taking pictures with friends.
It’s the perfect spot to create memories during your trip.

On one side of the shop, numerous photo card holders in a variety of designs were on display.
With so many designs, it was fun to ponder which holder would suit my bias best.

These days in Korea, it’s trendy to take a “etiquette shot” holding a photocard in front of food, and a photocard holder is essential for a pretty etiquette shot!

Once the staff verifies the reservation, the process of making your own goods begins in earnest.

Our editor tried holding a custom bag, and both the T-shirts and bags felt sturdy enough for long-term use.
After much deliberation, I finally decided to make a short-sleeve T-shirt that’s easy to wear!

I liked that shirts were hung out by size so you could try them on side by side and pick the best fit.

After choosing a size, I browsed the available designs on tablets placed around the store.
There were a variety of images—idols, actors, pet photos, and more—so you can pick something that suits your taste.

If the tablet doesn't have the photo you want, you can bring your own!
You can create custom merch using a favorite celebrity’s best shot or even a pet photo, so the options are really wide.
Isn’t it amazing to have a one‑of‑a‑kind merch item in the whole world?
After choosing the photo, take the T-shirt you picked earlier to the counter.
Hand the shirt to a staff member and show the selected image on the tablet placed at the counter.
Or you can simply show the photo saved on your phone—either way works.
With this quick verification, the custom T-shirt production process begins in earnest!

First, some pre‑printing preparation is done.
They use a machine to press the T-shirt flat and get it ready so the print comes out cleaner.
While the pre‑work was underway, the staff carefully positioned the editor’s chosen design on the shirt.
They meticulously adjusted the photo’s placement, size, and overall balance so the artwork would look its best on the T‑shirt.

After the prep work, the printing started right away! The colors were vivid and the details were finely rendered—very impressive.

Finally, the shirt goes back into the machine for heat press fixation, and the one‑and‑only custom T‑shirt is complete!

Depending on the design, the vibe changes completely, so it seems fun to make several styles.
The editor wanted a hip, unique look and was totally satisfied with the result.
Making my own custom K‑POP merch at OREN was a completely different, special experience compared to regular shopping.
