Planning a trip to Jeju is exciting, but let’s be honest... figuring out where to shop can be a bit overwhelming. You might wonder where to get the best local snacks, which souvenirs are worth it, or where to stock up on food and drinks before heading to your hotel or Airbnb. What if I told you there is one place that had everything, right near the airport and surrounded by popular hotels and Airbnbs? That’s exactly why so many travelers head straight to Lotte Mart Jeju as their first stop.

Information

Sure, Jeju has many shopping options: local markets, tourist shops, and convenience stores. But if you're looking for a place where you can shop smart, save time, and get everything in one go, locals will point you straight to a big-box mart like Lotte Mart. It offers convenience, better prices, and a wide variety of items.

Address: Lotte Mart, 1 Yeonbuk-ro, Jeju-si, Jeju
(제주 제주시 연북로 1 롯데마트)
Hours: 10:00-23:00 KST

(Closed every 2nd Friday & 4th Saturday of every month)

Our Visit

Lotte Mart Jeju Branch is conveniently located near both Jeju Airport and many popular hotels, making it a great stop whether you’ve just landed or are heading out. There’s even a free shuttle bus available, just head to Bus Stop No. 6 outside the airport. The shuttle schedule is a bit limited, but no worries! You can also just cross the road and grab a taxi. It’s only about a 10-minute ride.

After a quick ride, we arrived at Lotte Mart Jeju Branch and wow, this place is huge!

As soon as you walk in, you're greeted by a Dol Hareubang (the iconic stone statue of Jeju) and it instantly feels like you've really arrived on the island.

Also you don't need to worry even if you don’t speak Korean! Lotte Mart Jeju branch is popular with international visitors, so you’ll find English signs and guidance throughout the store, making it easy to navigate even if it’s your first time there. There are also big aisle signs on top so you'll know which section you’re in and can find what you need easily, even though the store is pretty big.

Lotte Mart also offers exclusive promotions just for international visitors including discount coupons, tax refunds, and even free gifts. Full details are listed at the end of the blog, so keep reading to make sure you don’t miss anything!

Souvenirs You Can Only Get in Jeju

If you want to bring a real taste of Jeju home, be sure to explore the 제주 마씸 corner. This section features exclusive local products you won’t find anywhere else!

You’ll find rich Jeju chocolates made with local ingredients, traditional makgeolli brewed on the island, and a variety of unique snacks that showcase Jeju’s flavors. There’s even a large Jeju matcha package that’s perfect for gifting or simply enjoying as a special treat for yourself.

Throughout the store, look for red signs that highlight items popular with foreign visitors. These signs point out the best souvenirs, including Hallabong tea, fruit jellies, cookies, and Jeju-made alcohol—authentic flavors you can only find here on Jeju Island.

Another corner you should explore is the Clean Jeju Specialties section, which offers a variety of fresh seafood products from Jeju, including seasoned and fermented delicacies like 젓갈 (Korean salted and fermented seafood), along with local liquors and other specialty items that highlight the island’s unique flavors.

K-Food Finds at Lotte Mart Jeju

Personally, wandering through a local supermarket is one of the best activity you can do in a foreign country. And Lotte Mart does not disappoint! Other than Jeju specialty sections, they have a huge selection of K-food. The whole store is super organized, with clearly marked sections to help you find everything easily.

Since you’re in Jeju, don’t miss the fruit section with sweet Jeju tangerines. The store uses AI to check freshness, so you always get top-quality produce — pretty cool, right?

I was honestly surprised by how big and well-stocked the fresh meat section was, so many options, including Jeju’s famous black pork.

Local tip: If you’re staying in an Airbnb with a kitchen, this is a must-try!

The seafood section is just as impressive, especially with its fresh, ready-to-go sashimi platters perfect for enjoying at your accommodation.

Local tip: Fresh seafood is a must when in Jeju, so try getting sashimi from the mart as it's usually more affordable than dining out at restaurants.

There’s also a ready-to-grab fried chicken section and a variety of Korean side dishes, all in small portions—perfect for trying a little bit of everything back at your accommodation.

Looking at so much delicious food can definitely make you hungry—and luckily, there are tasting corners where you can try before you buy!

If you’re looking for snacks and drinks to enjoy back at your accommodation, Lotte Mart Jeju has you covered. Here are some of our recommendations!

The wine section at the second floor is huge, with a wide variety from different countries, all clearly labeled by sweetness and dryness—plus, you can ask the staff for free tastings to find your favorite!

You should also check out the huge cheese selection that pairs perfectly with your wine.

Of course, you can’t miss ramyun when in Korea! It’s a go-to comfort food and also makes a perfect, easy-to-pack souvenir.

HBAF almonds are a must-try as well. These crunchy snacks come in fun flavors like wasabi, seaweed, and spicy tteokbokki, and they’re perfect for bringing home as souvenirs.

For something more traditional, my favorite is Yaggwa (traditional Korean cookies with syrup)!

Also, don’t forget to grab a bag of Honey Butter Chips, a beloved Korean snack with the perfect balance of sweet and salty that locals and tourists can’t get enough of!
