Our Visit
Today, I visited the craft beer and chicken restaurant 'Kkokgeudak Gangnam Branch', located near Gangnam Station!
The inside is spacious with plenty of seats, so you can sit comfortably. Each seat has a partition, creating a cozy atmosphere where you can have a conversation with your group!
The first thing that caught my eye as soon as I entered was the patent certificate and the award certificate!
A patent certificate for the method of making the signature menu item, Pane Chicken, at '꼭그닭 Gangnam Branch' and a certificate of commendation for efforts to improve food hygiene standards were displayed.
Seeing this, my anticipation grew even before the food came out, and I felt reassured about the hygiene, so I could eat with peace of mind.
The restroom was inside the store, which was very convenient, and the self-service corner was also well prepared.
You could freely take wet wipes, tissues, forks, straws, and even pickles. Especially, there was ice next to the pickle container, so you could enjoy cold pickles!
Also, it was convenient because various types of chargers were available.
The highlight of 'Kkokgeudak Gangnam Branch' is the 19 kinds of craft beer you can choose and enjoy according to your taste!
The beer offered here lets you enjoy the pure taste of 'beer' itself, without any additives like carbonation or nitrogen.
And there are so many types of beer that it's fun to find the one that's just right for you!
To briefly introduce how to enjoy beer, first take a beer glass from one side of the store and rinse it with water once.
The glass is already clean, but if there is moisture left in the glass, less foam is created, so you can enjoy even more delicious beer.
After that, refer to the beer descriptions written on the dispenser, choose the beer you want, tag the card given by the owner on the machine, and pour as much beer as you want to drink!
What the editor really liked was that the amount of beer isn't fixed, and since it's calculated in 10ml increments, you can pour and drink exactly as much as you want.
It was more fun because I could find a beer that suited my taste by taking a sip at a time, and I was able to discover new flavors.
Plus, you can pair beer with different types of chicken, so you can enjoy it twice or even three times as much!
The food I ordered came out quickly while I was looking for a beer to go with the chicken.
The editor ordered the signature menu items: handmade Pane Chicken, handmade Pico Chicken, Caesar salad, and tteokbokki. Doesn’t it all look really plentiful and delicious?
For reference, 'Kkokgeudak Gangnam Branch' makes their sauce directly at the manufacturing factory! Instead of mass production, they put care and attention into it.
I could trust and enjoy it because the handmade sauce is made through every step.
First, the Caesar salad is made with a homemade dressing, giving it a deep and rich flavor that's outstanding.
You can enjoy the rich flavor of cheese harmonized with the savory taste of anchovy, and the addition of lemon juice gives it a fresh and refreshing taste.
This sauce blended with fresh vegetables, and every bite was filled with a truly special flavor.
Eating it with chicken made it so I didn’t get tired of it and could keep enjoying it!
The homemade Pané chicken smelled so delicious that I wanted to take a bite as soon as I saw it!
Ppane chicken is fried using glutinous rice flour instead of wheat flour, so even those with wheat allergies can enjoy it with peace of mind.
Moreover, instead of using store-bought rosé sauce, the dish was made by mixing homemade tomato sauce and cream sauce, resulting in a much deeper and richer flavor.
This menu truly brought together delicious things to create an even better taste, perfectly realizing a ‘delicious formula’!
The real highlight of Ppane Chicken is the ‘cheese bomb’!
They generously covered the chicken with cheese like a blanket, and the combination of rose sauce, chicken, and cheese was truly fantastic.
By incorporating Western-style sauce, anyone can enjoy it without hesitation, and I thought it would be especially popular with women who like a smooth and creamy taste!
Pico Chicken is a menu item named after the Spanish word 'Pico,' which means 'peak.'
With just one menu item, you could enjoy a total of three flavors—seasoned, honey garlic, and yurin sauce—all at once, so it was a really great deal.
Especially, the bread was stacked high like mountain peaks, instantly catching the eye with its appearance!
The bread in Pico Chicken was sweet and moist, just like eating honey bread.
It was delicious even when paired with sweet bread and chicken, and it was really excellent when I had the chicken with fresh vegetables like romaine and yurin sauce.
I was even more satisfied because I could enjoy a variety of flavor combinations with just one menu!
The tteokbokki was really generous in portion, and there was plenty of cheese, so my mouth watered the moment I saw it.
The spiciness level isn't too strong, so it seemed like anyone could enjoy it deliciously without any worries.
In Korea, the combination of chicken and tteokbokki is popular. If you want to enjoy this combo properly, we recommend ordering tteokbokki together as well!
The editor was able to find beers that suited their taste and enjoy them freely with chicken.
Since you tag the card you received to the dispenser to pour your beer, you can neatly pay only for what you drank when it's time to settle the bill.
It was even more convenient!
If you want to enjoy a special chimaek in Korea, I highly recommend 'Kkokgeudak Gangnam Branch'!
You can enjoy 19 different craft beers to your taste and even have fun finding the perfect pairing with chicken.
This place, certified by the government, is known for its unforgettable and unique menu items, as well as its trustworthy hygiene and quality.
The owner's thoughtful care could be felt throughout the store, which made it even more trustworthy.
Enjoy as much chicken and beer as you want here, and spend a special time with your loved ones!
