Our Visit
Today I came to 'Color Gasanda' in Hongdae to receive a body type analysis. Besides personal color, I was really looking forward to the opportunity to find a styling that suits me. It was conveniently located just a 2-minute walk from Hongik Univ. Station Exit 2.
I was able to receive a private consultation with an expert. First, I filled out a preliminary questionnaire form to describe the reasons for getting a diagnosis, my usual body shape concerns, and style concerns.
Next, they measured my exact body size. Shoulder width, chest circumference, waist circumference, rise length, hip circumference, thigh circumference, leg length, and other meticulous measurements continued. It is advisable to avoid wearing thick clothes that do not reveal your body shape because we measure over your clothes for more accurate measurement.
After the size measurement was complete, I received a body type diagnosis. I listened to the explanation of Color Gasanda's unique body type classification and my body type. I was able to understand more specifically through various images and materials.
The body's conditions are very diverse, and body types are just as varied. Previously, the method of simplifying and categorizing by bone structure, like straight, wave, and natural, not only had many errors but also could not reflect a detailed body type analysis. However, in 'Colorgasanda', it is possible to analyze detailed and diverse body types, reflecting changes over time and moving away from old classification methods.
I was told that I have a 'short-waisted hourglass shape'. We found out which clothes suit you through a detailed analysis and explanation, then went to the showroom to try them on in person.
The showroom has a variety of clothes suited for different body types. I liked that the variety and style of clothes were so diverse that it was comparable to a clothing store. You can try on up to 3 pieces!
There is also a dressing room next to the showroom. The space was spacious enough to easily put on and take off clothes, and it was clean and comfortable, so it was even better. I tried on the styling recommended by the professional consultant and looked in the mirror while listening to a detailed explanation.
I wore long boot-cut pants on the bottom, and a slim-fit sweater with wide sleeves and a low neckline on the top. It felt awkward because it's not a style I usually wear, but I was surprised at how well it suited me because the clothes highlighted my strengths and hid my weaknesses.
Can you see the difference more clearly before and after styling? It felt like I had lost weight just by changing my clothes, which was amazing.
I tried on clothes in the showroom, then returned to the diagnostic room and finally created my own leaflet. I was satisfied because I could learn more thoroughly about collars, necklines, materials, etc. that fit my body shape.
