Our Visit
Today, I visited the premium bathhouse DANPOONG Hanok branch. This is a place where you can receive a private scrubbing. Not only can you get a scrubbing, but you can also heal with a massage and a facial, so I'm really looking forward to it!
Once you enter, the Hanok-style interior and comfortable atmosphere stand out. Since it's by reservation, you can comfortably enjoy your time without others.
Once you go in, sit down and wait, you will be served a warm hand towel and tea. Here, you can relax before your bath. The handkerchief smells nice and drinking tea on a cold day warms and relaxes the body.
While drinking tea, you will fill out a simple survey. I appreciated the attention to detail in the service that allowed you to select both the areas you don't want and the areas you want care.
You can also choose the body oil you want. To prepare for any possible allergies, drop a bit on the back of your hand and do a patch test before choosing a scent.
I entered the assigned room when it was ready. When you enter, you first see the powder room, and the atmosphere is really clean.
Read the notice inside the locker (refer to the above precautions), undress, and prepare to wash yourself. You can use the bathrobe for going out when you need to go outside in the middle. In the drawer, essentials like a comb and remover are provided so you can remove your makeup.
Mochi Bubble Course (80 minutes)
I decided to take the 'Mochi Bubble Course'. Before scrubbing, we will first get into the bathtub for 15 minutes to soften the dirt.
During the bath, you can also enjoy a cup of tea. It felt really good to soak in fragrant warm water with added oil. Then pour the herbal-infused water on the left into the water, and it feels like your skin is getting healthier.
After the bath, move to the scrubbing bed following the professional scrubbing technician's guidance. There is a space where you can rest your face comfortably, allowing you to receive care without discomfort even while lying face down.
First, cleanse with enzyme powder, then apply the mask pack. During the bathhouse scrub, a mask pack takes care of your skin, allowing for body care and skincare all at once!
One of the big advantages of this place is that the interior of the scrubbing area is also decorated as a hanok. If you lie down and look at the ceiling, you can see the Hanok roof, giving it a unique atmosphere.
Now, let's get serious and start scrubbing the dirt off your feet.
I thought scrubbing would hurt, but I was really surprised at how smoothly it worked. After scrubbing your arms, legs, and sides, scrub your back.
The back is a place that is usually hard to reach and clean thoroughly, but it felt really refreshing and relieving. They pushed more carefully as I wanted, just as I checked on the questionnaire. After scrubbing your belly, back, and whole body, rinse with water, and then it's time for Mochi Bubble care.
Isn't it fascinating? At first, I was curious about what Mochi Bubble was. It felt like playing with bubbles, and it was soft and nice.
After washing up with Mochi Bubble, they apply the oil that was tested when you first came in.
It felt so refreshing and good to get a massage while getting a body scrub.
If you wash my hair at the end, the 80-minute course will be finished. Take a quick shower and then you can go out to the powder room.
Easily dry your body with a body dryer, and you can style your hair with a Dyson dryer. The powder room is also equipped with basic skincare products, so you can comfortably finish up your care after a shower!
Also, after finishing the bath, you can relax slowly instead of rushing out. You can enjoy a relaxing break with tea and snacks in a space with a garden view.
It's great for soothing a tired body during travel, and also comfortable for those who are usually burdened by body scrubbing. Would you like to visit with someone special? At the main branch, up to 3 people, and at the Hanok branch, up to 2 people can receive care together in different rooms. If you need a little break from your tiring routine, experience true healing at DANPOONG!
