Our Visit
Kemistry is probably the most affordable wine bar to enjoy wine in Seoul! This place not only has a nice atmosphere but also delicious food, so I had a really great time.
The harmony of lighting and interior is good, creating an atmospheric place. Each table had lighting, and every seat was so beautiful that it was hard to decide where to sit.
The group seating is also beautifully and cozily arranged, so it seems like a good place for gatherings.
You can enjoy playing darts like at a pub. Insert 1,000 KRW and you can enjoy a fun game. Of course, you can also pay by card if you ask the staff!
There are many spaces here where you can take photos. The giant mirror at the entrance is particularly noticeable. The owner said that this mirror costs more than 10,000 USD!
Also, there is a powder room on the way to the bathroom. It's great that the wine bar has this kind of space, it seems perfect for checking and adjusting your makeup while on a date.
I ordered the Moet & Chandon Imperial Brut wine recommended by the owner. Since this wine is so famous, I think many people already know about it. The wine set that came out is so pretty.
I've tried sweet shrimp ceviche, basil cold pasta, currywurst, and grilled scallops and shrimp.
Sweet Shrimp Ceviche
Ceviche is essential to stimulate your appetite before the main meal. This is a beautifully plated ceviche with basil, tomato, and balsamic sauce.
Next, I tried the shrimp and basil. The taste is refreshing and the texture of the shrimp is good.
Basil Cold Pasta
Next, the basil cold pasta came out. Isn't the presentation of ricotta cheese and cherry tomatoes around the edge of the plate so pretty? Actually, I've only tried warm pasta before, and this was my first time trying cold pasta, so I was curious about the taste.
The texture of basil and noodles, along with the combination of tomatoes and cheese, went really well together. In particular, this dish pairs well with wine.
Grilled Scallops
Next, grilled scallops was served.
The shrimp was plump and the scallops were savory, making the dish my favorite! Each one is delicious on its own, but stacking the shrimp, scallops, and tomato together creates a bite that’s perfectly satisfying and full of flavor.
Currywurst
The last food I tried was currywurst. It is a dish served with spicy curry sauce inside a kielbasa sausage. Slice the Kielbasa sausage with a knife and dip it deeply into the sauce in the middle.
I expected the kielbasa to be salty, but it was perfectly seasoned. The sauce was incredible and would taste great with anything you dip in it. Save this dish for last because it is juicy and pairs perfectly with wine.
The perfect lighting, amazing food, and great wine made the day unforgettable. I can’t wait to come back with my friends!

Come out of Seolleung Station Exit 5 and walk straight until you reach the intersection.
Turn right and go straight.
If you turn right at the big alley, you will see Morak on the first floor and Kemistry on the second floor.
