Today, I visited Ilpyeon, where you can taste the top 4% of premium Korean beef located in Hongdae. The restaurant is located a 1-minute walk from Exit 8 of Hongdae Entrance Station, making it very accessible.

When I entered the store, I could see the autographs of many celebrities. You can tell that it is a restaurant with guaranteed taste as many celebrities have visited.

The interior of the store is equipped with wide sofa seats and partitions at each table, allowing you to dine comfortably and privately. You can enjoy a pleasant meal by slowly grilling the meat.

Inside the store, there is a cold aging room where Korean beef is being aged. All the Korean beef provided by Ilpyeondungsim is aged at a low temperature for 21 days and selected directly by the owner.

Simply put, it is the belly part of the cow, with a lot of fat and juice, making it extremely tender and flavorful compared to other beef cuts.


Zebichuri is a strip-shaped part that extends from the neck bone to the front of the ribs, and it is the rarest part, yielding about 500g per animal. It has a red meat color and a chewy texture, which is the charm of zebichuri.

You can take the cooked meat onto a small plate and taste it one by one.

It's good to put a small amount of salt, wasabi, and whole grain mustard sauce on a side plate and then place it on the meat before eating. A well-cooked sirloin is tender and juicy, making you feel good the moment you put it in your mouth.


Next, I'll try grilling the tenderloin. Sirloin was grilled to the right doneness, allowing me to fully enjoy the rich juices in my mouth.

Next, I'll try the tender flat iron steak. Flank steak felt even more tender than other cuts, melting in my mouth.

The rich taste of shrimp flesh, which meat lovers particularly adore, After baking it myself, I could fully taste the nutty and rich flavors.

After tasting the grilled meat, I'll also have yukhoe bibimbap.

Since bibimbap contains rice and gochujang, I mixed it thoroughly and tried eating it. The taste of fresh yukhoe, savory sesame oil, and various vegetables harmoniously blended is exquisite.

I tried Hanwoo soybean paste rice, which has a rich and savory doenjang flavor and the deep taste of Hanwoo beef.

Finally, I'll finish off with a refreshing yukhoe cold noodles to cleanse the palate. The chewy noodles, refreshing cold broth, and fresh yukhoe combination was very satisfying.
