Our Visit
Today I visited #CCONTE Seogyo Branch in Hongdae. Known for its skilled designers, especially in hair dye, the salon offers a professional and trustworthy experience. Its convenient location and clean, welcoming atmosphere make it a great choice!

Just like its neat exterior, the interior also has a bright white tone, giving it a pleasant and organized feel.
There is a comfortable sofa in waiting area.
The inside has a clean, beige-toned design. Since you have to sit for a while during perms or dye, the comfy-looking chairs were a nice relief!
Start by putting your clothes in the locker, then change into the provided gown for the procedure.
First, I’ll show you my current hair condition. It’s already been bleached, so it has a bright tone but a lot of damage.
I originally wanted a blue balayage that wasn’t too dark. However, after checking my hair condition and seeing the damage, the stylist recommended an ash beige color that better suits my cool tone. They offer basic English consultations too, so you can easily discuss the style you want.
He showed me some drafts and explained how balayage coloring works. The benefit of balayage is that it’s darker at the roots and lighter at the ends, so as your hair grows, it blends naturally without needing constant root touch-ups.
After the consultation, they offered a simple snack and a drink before starting the procedure. I was pleasantly surprised that they gave me my favorite snack!
The first step in the balayage process is using a blow dryer to separate the hair and bleach specific sections to create a natural gradient and highlights. I found it really interesting to see them use a hairdryer for that.
After sectioning the hair with the dryer, they quickly applied the bleach. They mix a treatment with the bleach to help minimize hair damage.
They only applied the bleach to certain sections, and since it didn’t touch my scalp directly, there was no stinging or irritation. The bleach stays on for about 20-30 minutes after application.
While waiting, I got a hand moisture pack treatment. I really liked that they cut out the thumb part so I could still use my phone!
Now, it’s time for the shampoo! The shampoo room has the same beige tones with a clean and cozy vibe.
Before rinsing my hair, the stylist checked to make sure the bleaching process went smoothly.
During the first rinse, they used only water to wash out the bleach, without any shampoo. They also gave me a plastic cap to keep water from getting into my ears, which was really thoughtful.
After sitting back down with my hair still wet, they prepped to apply the ash beige dye and prepared my hair for the next step.
They also added nutrients to the hair dye to protect the hair.
They started applying the hair dye, and thanks to the designer’s quick hands, the process went by really fast.
The dye was applied all over, and it was interesting to see the bleached sections turn pink at first. As time passed, the color gradually darkened.
After waiting a bit, they began the second rinse. The dye, which started out pink, turned into an ash beige color by the time it was ready to be rinsed. This time, they used shampoo to wash the dye out thoroughly.
Even with my hair still wet, the ash color is already standing out nicely. I can’t wait to dry it and see the final result!
Once I sat down, they started drying my hair.
Ta-da! Here's the final look after drying. The ash tone blends beautifully from the roots to the ends, creating a stunning color. Thanks to the nourishing treatments during both bleaching and dyeing, I was able to keep hair damage to a minimum.
After finishing with a flat iron blow-dry, they styled my hair into a soft, natural wave. I really appreciated the attention to detail right up until the end.
Now, with a light hairspray to set the style, you're all done!

When I stepped outside and saw the color in natural light, it looked a bit different from how it did indoors. Either way, I absolutely love this color!
