Our Review
The HANPASS Go-Card is the perfect rechargeable prepaid card for foreign travelers visiting Korea. With this card, you can make easy, cashless payments at both online and offline stores across the country. It’s simple to recharge through the HANPASS mobile app, making it convenient for shopping, dining, and visiting tourist attractions. Plus, the card can also be used as a transportation card, so you can easily use the subway, buses, and other public transit without needing to buy a separate transit card.
We picked up our HANPASS Go-Card at the KT Roaming Center in Incheon Airport Terminal 1. It’s incredibly convenient because you can collect it right after arriving in Korea, without having to go far from the airport's arrival area. After purchasing through Creatrip, we applied for the card in advance via the multilingual HANPASS app, making the pickup process quick and easy. For detailed instructions on how to apply for and pick up the card, please refer to the information above.
While heading into Seoul, I easily recharged the card using the HANPASS app on my phone. I decided to try out the HANPASS Go-Card at Olive Young, a must-visit shopping spot in Korea. It was fantastic to make quick and simple payments in just a few seconds without needing to carry cash! I also noticed that 5% of the purchase amount was instantly returned as cashback, with the potential to earn up to 8,000 KRW per month—definitely a great perk!
This time, I used the HANPASS Go-Card at Daiso, which sells a variety of household items. The card is versatile, working at major supermarkets, convenience stores, cultural spots, and even hotels across Korea. Unlike other cards, it’s not limited to specific brands, making it incredibly convenient.
Additionally, if you suddenly need cash, you can easily withdraw money using the card at convenience store ATMs or bank ATMs. Even if you have leftover funds in your wallet after your trip, you can transfer the remaining balance to your home country’s account without worrying about fees! The HANPASS Go-Card is a must-have item that enhances your travel experience, and I highly recommend it to any foreign visitors coming to Korea.
