Our Visit
Today, I visited 'Bangdon Restaurant' located in Yeouido. Bangdon Restaurant is located in the Food Square on the basement floor of the Nonghyup Foundation Building near Yeouido Station.
Bangdon Restaurant has a spacious and clean interior. Modern yet with a traditional Korean atmosphere.
The interior is large and spacious, and inside the restaurant, there are also seats for groups, so even if several people visit, they can enjoy their meal comfortably.
Kiosks are installed for ordering at each table, making it convenient to place orders. Menu also has photos which makes it easy to choose a menu.
After ordering, the side dishes were served.
For side dishes, gosari, kongnamul, and pamuchim were served.

Doenjang Ssulbap is a dish where rice is put into doenjang jjigae and boiled together. Therefore, you can enjoy the stew and rice together because rice is in the stew pot like porridge. It's very delicious because it's filled with plenty of brisket and tofu.
Bangbangdondon set (400g)
The 'Bang Bang Don Don Set' lets you enjoy Hanwoo 1++ Chadol, naengsam, saengsam, and Bang Don's signature soy sauce samgyeopsal all in one meal. Start with the Chadol, then savor the cold samgyeopsal, fresh samgyeopsal, and finish with the soy sauce samgyeopsal for the best experience.
Half & Half (Cold Samgyeopsal / Fresh Samgyeopsal) (500g)
Here is the 'Half and Half Set' where cold samgyeopsal and fresh samgyeopsal are served together.
Once the grill is hot, I'll start cooking the meat. You can grill the fresh and cold samgyeopsal together or in your preferred order. Cold cuts are thin, so they cook quickly and are usually eaten first.
Make sure to carefully flip the meat while grilling so it doesn't burn.
If the meat is almost cooked and meat oil forms at the bottom, please cook together by adding fernbrake and bean sprouts provided. Even just grilling meat is delicious, it is recommended to grill side dishes in meat oil for even better flavor!
Kimchi, the soul food of Koreans, cannot be left out, right? Please grill the kimchi in oil to eat with pork belly.
Try eating ripe meat together with grilled bean sprouts and fernbrake.
It's also nice to eat with side dishes prepared together. By serving side dishes with it, you can enjoy samgyeopsal without getting tired of its greasy taste. The meat at Bangdon Restaurant has been aged for 240 hours, so the juice is alive and the texture is very nice.
When eating samgyeopsal, there is another essential item that cannot be missed, which is 'ssam'! For those who may not be familiar with ssam, I will briefly explain how to eat it. First, prepare lettuce or perilla leaves.
And take a piece of meat of the right size and dip it in ssamjang or oil sauce.
Put your favorite side dish, such as green onions, on top of the meat.
If you fold it neatly in one bite size, it's complete!
Soy Sauce Samgyeopsal
Marinated pork belly is very important to control the heat. Please grill it slowly without burning it.
After putting all the meat, generously pour the remaining marinade over each piece of meat.
Pour the additional soy sauce seasoning on top of the meat.
As the meat cooks, it takes on the characteristic brown color of soy sauce.
If you're a fan of pork belly, Bangdon is a must-visit. It's the perfect place to experience a unique and delicious take on pork belly that you won't find anywhere else.

Come out of Yeouido Station Exit 5.
Go left.
Turn left.
Go straight.
Continue straight and cross the pedestrian crosswalk.
Cross the street and make a left turn after crossing the crosswalk.
Go straight.
Turn right.
Cross the crosswalk.
Go straight.
Make a right turn.
When you see the Nonghyup building, you're almost there.
Go to the 'Food Square' next to Nonghyup.
You've arrived at Bangdon!
