For accurate analysis, please avoid wearing makeup or lenses; if applied, they must be removed before the analysis.

We recommend bringing your own cosmetics for product recommendations after the analysis.

If you have sensitive skin and are booking a makeup session, please bring the skincare products you currently use.

For an accurate analysis, remove glasses and colored lenses. If you have poor eyesight, wear clear lenses. You can keep glasses on if preferred or needed.

Recent skin treatments or tanning might affect the accuracy of the analysis.

Avoid heavy drinking the night before and on the day of your appointment, and make sure to get plenty of sleep before coming.

Please avoid wearing turtlenecks, hoodies, silk garments, or any clothes that may interfere with the analysis. 

You can take photos of the items and colors recommended by the instructor for recording purposes, but if you need to photograph the instructor, materials, or the analysis room, please get permission on-site.

Please make sure to arrive on time, as reservations are automatically canceled if you're more than 10 minutes late.

Our Visit

Today we've visited the Ocollor Yeouido branch, which specializes in personal color and personal fit analysis and is located just a 5-minute walk from the Yeouido Station! 

When you walk in, the place is filled with a soft pink light. They have big lights set up in the area where they do the personal color analysis, so you can see the colors clearly.

Ocollor has more than 15 years of experience in personal color analysis, as you can understand from the countless color charts and fabrics inside!

Before starting the personal color diagnosis, they analyzed our editor's skin and hair tone. Understanding the basics of personal color theory and analyzing it based on each individual's skin and hair tone made the whole process much easier!

Starting off with distinguishing between warm and cool tones, we tried on warm-toned red and cool-toned red. They explained that even though it's the same color, warm tones are like tomato red, and cool tones are like cherry red. Comparing them to fruits made it more fun and easier to understand! Look how our editor's face brightened when she tried the cool-toned cherry red!

Next, we tried on yellow colors for both warm and cool tones. We are also told that not only warm and cool tones, but colors's brightness and saturation also play an important role! Essentially, if a color makes your face look shadowy, it's probably not for you. But if it lights up your face, it's a great match!

After trying various fabrics, it turned out that our editor is Summer Cool Light, meaning pastels with a hint of white look the best on her! She was recommended that even the colors that don't suit her, like bright and dark shades, can still be used cleverly, perhaps as colors for pants. This color analysis definitely opens up new ways to play with colors in your wardrobe!

After the color analysis, we moved into the personal fit analysis to find the best styles for the body type. They checked measurements like arm and leg length, chest, waist, and hip size. We definitely recommend wearing tight clothes for a more accurate measurement!

They also analyze your face shape in detail. After the personal fit analysis, they provide consulting with overall results in about 15 minutes. 

After the personal color analysis, our editor received detailed advice tailored to her Summer Cool Light tone. The report included a color coordination guide, a tone map, and adjectives like "youthful," "fresh," "cool," and "elegant," linking the color profile to specific image traits, which was very fascinating!

The next step was to check the cosmetic products and decide if they were suitable for her personal color. Surprisingly, she was already wearing light pink makeup, which perfectly fits with the Summer Cool Light tone.

Based on the personal fit analysis, you can also receive consulting for your body type. For our editor, she was told to have an "inverted triangle" body type, with a slimmer lower body compared to the upper body. It was suggested that wearing simple, unadorned tops would be more flattering! 

She was told to have a "square" face shape, characterized by a more pronounced jawline. It was recommended to soften the appearance with thick waves or layered hairstyles. They also recommended glasses, sunglasses, and hats that fit the face!

The next step was getting the makeup done that matches the personal color and image.

It started with the base makeup. For Summer Cool Light tones, the key is a moist and translucent skin look.

Next, they applied a bright pink-toned eyeshadow suitable for Summer Cool Light tones on the eyes. For shading, a deeper, reddish tone of eyeshadow was used to create a more profound look.

For more defined eyes, the makeup artist filled in the waterline with eyeliner, a tricky step for the editor to accomplish alone, but the professional touch made a clear impact!

Next, they curled the lashes and applied mascara to define each lash.

Our editor, who naturally has thin eyebrows, liked how carefully and naturally they were filled in.

After finishing the eye makeup, they touched up areas where the base makeup had faded.

For a summer cool light tone, they also applied a fluorescent pink lip, brightening the face like turning on a light!

Finally, a touch of light pastel pink blush completed the fresh, pink-toned summer cool light makeup look!
