Konkuk University Student Cafeteria

Hello everyone, today we are going to introduce Student Cafeterias in Konkuk University.

We are sure that most of the students think a lot about "what to eat for lunch" in class!

Looking around in Konkuk University, we found that Konkuk University not only has multiple student cafeterias, but also offers a variety of menus, allowing students and faculty to conveniently dine.

KU's Kitchen

Location: Student Union 1st floor

Opening hours: Lunch time 11:30 ~ 14:00

From the main gate of Konkuk University, it takes about 10 minutes to walk to the Student Union. It is next to Cheongsimdae.

Walking through the entrance of the first floor of the Student Union, you can see KU's Kitchen.

KU's Kitchen, which is highly regarded for its fine-casual, does not require much waiting time for ordering and receiving meals. After ordering at the machine in front of the entrance and taking the ticket number, you can directly pick up your meal at the counter.

Even during the busiest peak hour at 12 o'clock, it takes less than 3 minutes to receive the meal. Within a 30-minute break, you can finish the meal, even enjoy a cup of coffee, and leisurely enter the classroom.

Next to it, there is a transparent showcase displaying today's menu. It is said to be real food, not a model!

The menu for that day includes: dumpling ramen, jjajangmyeon, beef mayo rice, lunch meat mayo rice, tuna mayo rice, Hawaiian hamburger steak, boneless gamjatang, fried pork chop rice.

The price is approximately around 3900~5500 won.

The cafeteria entrance has many machines for ordering.

Order and pay first at the machine, then collect the ticket number.

Take your ticket number, and turn left after entering the cafeteria to line up, take a tray and utensils, then go to the counter to collect the meal.

The whole process is very fast, with almost no waiting, taking less than 3 minutes.

Boneless Gamjatang ₩5500

Today we ordered boneless gamjatang, with a bowl of rice, and the meatballs side dish.

There are kimchi, pickled radish, and soup available for self-service.

Gamjatang has a balanced broth flavor, and the meat has a bit of marbling, but there is quite a lot of meat.

Potatoes are a little bit hard, we think it'll be better if they boil it for a little longer.

Overall, it's quite delicious and the price is also reasonable!

KU's Kitchen's seating is actually not very extensive, but the dining environment is very clean and bright.

GUSIA

Location: Student Union Basement 1st Floor

Business hours: Monday to Friday 9:00 AM ~ 7:30 PM, Saturday 9:00 AM ~ 3:30 PM

Located on the left side of KU's Kitchen, before going downstairs, take a look at the menu next to it.

There are quite a few people who check both of the menus of the first and basement floor's student cafeteria, then choose a place where the menu for the day is relatively good.

The daily menu on the basement floor includes tteokbokki, pork cutlet, Vietnamese rice noodles, rice bowl, jjajangmyeon and sweet and sour pork, white cut pork soup rice.

Compared to the school lunches at other schools, it can be said that there is a wide variety of choices, including Korean, Japanese, Vietnamese, and Chinese foods.

The price ranges from 3000 won to 8500 won.

You can order at the machine on the first floor or go down to the basement and order.

The counter for collecting meals.

This cafeteria looks like it has been completely renovated, and overall it looks very clean.

The number on the food ticket will be displayed on the screen, and you can collect your meal at the counter when your number is called.

Stir-fried pork rice bowl 3500 won

Stir-fried pork rice bowl that the editor ordered, there is spicy stir-fried pork, kimchi, and seaweed on top of the rice.

Spicy stir-fried pork without any fat, very fragrant when cooked, and hardly spicy when eaten. It tastes even better when eaten together with kimchi.

The price is only 3500 won, overall, the cost-effectiveness of the meal is quite high.

Compared to the cafeteria on the first floor, the cafeteria on the basement floor is noticeably much larger, with a variety of meals and plenty of seating. You cam probably find a seat during lunchtime.

The dining environment is also quite clean, and the we highly recommend it!

Furthermore, there are other student cafeterias on the campus of Konkuk University.

The faculty cafeteria is located on the basement floor of the New Millennium Hall.
