Our Visit

Bo Reum Sae is a Korean beef specialty restaurant located in Gangnam. Located a 10-minute walk from Samsung Station, it has good accessibility.

As soon as you enter, you can see the Michelin Guide certification. Bo Reum Sae is selected as a one-star establishment in the Michelin Guide for 7 consecutive years. One can see that it has been selected for seven consecutive years by the Michelin Guide, one of the most famous and influential restaurant rating organizations in the world, guaranteeing the taste.

The interior is decorated with a stylish and modern dining hall. Overall, the interior is spacious, making it suitable for both small groups and larger parties.

When you go up to the second floor, it is composed of 12 individual rooms. If you want to have a private meal, it would be nice to eat on the second floor.

The interior walls are covered with a plethora of celebrity signatures. Not just one or two, but roughly more than 20 celebrities have visited! Also, the restaurant appeared on the Korean food program 'Tasty Road'.

There are various types of wine available, so you can choose the wine you want and enjoy it with Hanwoo (Korean beef) dishes.

Today, the editor decided to eat by the window seat where they can see outside. I wanted to taste various cuts of meat, so I ordered 'Prime sirloin (150g) + Specialty cuts (300g) + Beef tartare (200g).

First, side dishes and yukhoe are prepared. Side dishes can vary slightly depending on the season. Today, mushroom stew, chive salad, vegetable side dishes, and salad were served.

Yukhoe comes out with long-cut Korean pears. Yukhoe is a dish where fresh beef is finely chopped, seasoned, and eaten. It has a soft and savory taste that is delicious.

Salad was a good appetizer to whet the appetite before eating meat. Mushroom stew would go well with meat, I think.

There are three types of sauces prepared to eat with meat, ssamjang, salt, and wasabi. Personally, wasabi is not spicy, so it's good to eat a lot.

Main menu Hanwoo is out! Bo Reum Sae uses its unique dry aging technique to provide matured Hanwoo beef, which sets it apart from other Hanwoo specialty stores. The aged Korean beef is so famous for its great flavor and special aroma that I was really looking forward to it.

First, put charcoal under the grill. Just being grilled over charcoal instead of gas adds an extra touch of sophistication.

First, place the tenderloin on a preheated grill. The color and marbling of Hanwoo looks really delicious.

Since the staff will grill the meat for you, you don't have to worry about grilling it incorrectly. Definitely, the person who grills it well seems to make the meat tastier.

Grill together even the special parts. Special areas are composed of jeonjibul, galbisal, and upjinsal. Each part has different tastes and textures, so you can enjoy Hanwoo beef in various ways.

When matured, Hanwoo does not produce much smoke when grilled, so you can enjoy it without the smell of meat sticking to your clothes and eat it comfortably. Also, it's fun to watch the process of baking.

Now the meat is fully cooked. Meat can be cooked to different degrees according to personal preference. Most of the Hanwoo beef is often eaten without fully cooking the center, so you can enjoy the rich juice more.

The meat is thick and has a good chewy texture. Just eat the side dishes and sauces that come with it according to your taste.

As a first point, I tried eating salted and seasoned tenderloin. When I tasted it, I could feel the smell of cheese from the meat and it was so soft that it melted in my mouth. As expected, aged Hanwoo is different from non-aged regular meat!

The accompanying buchu-muchim is a deluxe version of regular buchu-muchim. Nutrient chives and mushrooms were mixed in the sauce, and the scent became nutty with the addition of sesame seeds. It goes well with meat.

The editor personally liked galbi-sal the most. When you bite into it, the juicy meat bursts out and you can taste the cheese. If you prefer meat with a lot of juice and fat, you will like galbisal. If you prefer a savory and light taste, you will like jebichuri.

I grilled the meat and also ate yukhoe together. As food that is consumed daily, the quality of the meat is important, and as expected, Bo Reum Sae uses the highest quality Jeju black beef, which feels fresh and has a good texture. When eaten with a pear, it becomes even more delicious with its sweet taste and crisp texture.

Together, I tried to eat it with the side dish that came out. Savory and tangy, it goes well with fatty meat. The greasy taste of the meat was well captured.

This is my first time trying various cuts of Hanwoo beef, from tenderloin to sirloin. The subtle cheese aroma and smooth texture were excellent. Definitely, the aged beef has a consistent texture overall, and it seems to have a rich juicy flavor that is deep. If you want to try premium Korean beef barbecue, I recommend Bo Reum Sae, a one-star Michelin guide!
