Our Visit

We made a visit ourselves to the famous Soonsoo, located in Cheongdam. We were really looking forward to this famous beauty salon! We showed our reservation confirmation at the front counter and left our things at the front.

It was really convenient to be able to store or things like this. Especially during the winter, it's nice to have a place to store thick outerwear.

The Cheongdam Main Branch of Soonsoo uses an entire building, so the services available vary by floor. Today, we decided to receive the K-beauty Hair & Makeup service, so following the guidance of the staff, we went up to the 5th floor.

In the elevator, there are signatures of celebrities who have received hair and makeup services at the salon!

When we arrived at the 5th floor, we waited at the front and were given beverages.

First, I entered the makeup room. The room was a private room, and as soon as I entered, I could see a wide variety of cosmetics displayed.

Even though it was a little embarrassing to go in without makeup, I was really looking forward to getting it done.

First, the makeup artist prepared my skin before applying the base.

Then, she applied the foundation. I definitely felt a difference when applying with various makeup tools instead of just using my hands at home.

At first, I was worried that it would feel too thick, but it wasn't at all. Even after time passed, the makeup didn't smudge!

After finishing the base, a different makeup artist came in.

She started by drawing in my eyebrows. The eyebrow shape was matched with great attention to detail.

Then, it's time for the eye makeup. The quality is definitely better when applying makeup with various brushes. She added in various colors to match the shape and image of my eyes.

She then curled my eyelashes and attached fake lashes. She attached long eyelashes that matched my glamorous eye makeup, and I was surprised at how well they suited my eyes.

There are so many different types of eyelashes, so they will attach ones that suit you!

The finishing touch of eye makeup is eyeliner and eyelashes. It definitely made my eyes look dramatically bigger by doing the makeup in a glamorous style like a celebrity.

Afterwards, it was time for color makeup. In comparison to other makeup shops, there were more diverse cosmetics, so I was able to better utilize colors that suited me.

Now it's time to get my hair done. You have to go downstairs to get your hair done as guided by the staff.

This is the before appearance. Originally, I decided to have a simple styling with a haircut that has a clearly defined design.

They did my hair in a style that went well with my makeup. If you have a particular style you want, you can let them know!

The hairstyle was really clean and looked super luxurious.

This is the completed hairstyle. The bold waves definitely created a different atmosphere compared to before, and I really liked it. The makeup style goes well with it as well!

Getting this K-beauty hair & makeup service made me feel want to take so many photos! My features looked more three-dimensional than usual, so my photos turned out really well. I took pictures all day long. I recommend coming here on an important day or on a day when you need to take a lot of pictures!

They even have a drink menu that you can choose from and enjoy while receiving your hair procedure.

First, they carefully checked the condition of my hair and decided on the treatment to be done. Overall, it felt heavy, so we planned to cut it and perm it to make it look clean.

Before starting the cut, they washed my hair.

Now, it's time for the haircut. They gave me a haircut that suits my current hair condition and style. This time, I wanted to try having bangs, so I also had my bangs cut.

Before going into the perm, they applied a softening treatment while I sipped on the drink I was given earlier.

Afterwards, they applied the solution once more carefully. Overall, I felt that every step was carried out meticulously.

After washing my hair, it's finally time to start the perm process.

He rolled the perm quickly and smoothly for me. This was a heat perm, which lasts longer than a general perm. If you want to maintain your perm for a long time, I recommend getting a high-quality heat perm even if it's a bit pricier!

Then, they add heat using a machine. If it's too hot, you can let the staff know.

Then they actually maintain the perm by carefully straightening each strand. The perm may look strong at first, but don't worry!

Lastly, they applied product to calm down the hair. I just had to wait a little with product applied to my hair. The procedure can be long and tedious, but with a charger in front, I was able to use my phone without worrying about the battery going out.

Then, I had my hair shampooed one more time. It's already exciting to see that the perm is turning out really well!

Once you finish the final styling, the entire process is complete! When drying my hair, it was helpful to learn different methods from the stylist. From the cut to the perm, it took about a total of 3 hours to finish.

This is the final result! From a heavy and extravagant style, my hair changed to a lighter and more sophisticated style!
