Our Visit

Today, I stopped by the 'Korea Fashion Psychology Institute's Cheongdam Branch' in Apgujeong Rodeo. This area is a top destination for many travelers.

Upon entering, I was immediately greeted by an array of certificates and patents. As a renowned personal color analysis clinic, it's evident that their expertise is well-established and trustworthy. 

Many Korean celebrities and influencers have also visited this site to get their personal colors analyzed! Since it's a spot that's been visited and acknowledged by celebrities, we had high expectations!

We chose to get the 1 on 1 Premium consultation. Here's what was included:

For an accurate diagnosis, any makeup should be removed. The clinic provides cleansing products and lotion for this purpose.

I used the provided cleansing products to thoroughly clean my face. Unlike many other places, this clinic offers a generous space specifically for makeup removal, which I appreciated.

After cleansing, a machine is used to gauge your skin color. This facility employs larger and seemingly more advanced equipment than other places I've seen, which boosted my confidence in the accuracy of the results. The machine took measurements from both cheeks and the forehead. It's remarkable how technology allows for such precise color analysis!

You'll need to move to another room for the personal color consultation. 

Before the actual diagnosis, we had a time to check the skin, hair color, and eye color. Check out the various color chips to see what colors they have.

You can accurately determine your color because there are so many types of color chips. In this color chart, they showed us what color each one has. The iris and hair color were lighter than I expected, which was fascinating.

In order to conduct a thorough personal color diagnosis, please cover your head and upper body with a cloth. This way, covering different colors with white will allow for a more accurate diagnosis.

You get to see what colors fit your tone and which don't. The whole process is very detailed and meticulous. 

The consultant recommends what hair colors match my face and etc.

I was told to wear bright colors for tops and dark colors for bottoms to create a clear contrast. They also suggested wearing a dark inner layer and a bright outer layer with a coat to brighten up my complexion.

The consultant will tell you the exact shade of foundation you are according to your personal color. This goes for lip color, blush, and eye shadow.

 They also recommend what type of jewelry fits your skin tone and what perfume you should wear! 

You can bring your own foundation to see if it really is a good match. You can take a picture of the product and shade they recommend for future reference.

You can take this card home to use when you purchase makeup or clothes! There is a separate room where you can get your makeup done according to the consultation results. This service is included in the Premium 1:1 and Premium 1:2. 

The makeup room was spacious and comfortable, with a dedicated artist for professional makeup. However, today the editor chose to have both color analysis and makeup done by the same consultant for continuity.

Before starting the makeup, they applied a basic skin moisturizer, emphasizing its importance as much as the makeup itself.

They applied eyeshadow and a base lip color, and when asked, they detailed the colors used, which should help when I do my makeup on my own later.

They also applied mascara, which is crucial for eye makeup, ensuring my eyelashes were curled to make my eyes look more glamorous.

Finally, they completed the makeup with eyebrows, shading, highlighter, and a statement lip, making the whole experience very convenient as I just had to sit back and relax.

Here is the end result! I couldn't be more satisfied with the look.
