Our Visit

Today, we visited a women-only sauna called Golden Sauna. Golden Sauna is located a 3-minute walk from Exit 8 of Myeongdong Station, so it has very good accessibility. Also, Golden Sauna is a jjimjilbang that specializes in sleeping rooms, and although there are public baths and men's baths, only women can use the jjimjilbang.

When you enter the entrance, there are plenty of signatures of celebrities on the left board. There are people who have visited before and people who have recently visited!

You can buy personal items at the desk before entering the sauna.

Before entering the bathhouse, I put my shoes in the shoe rack and hold onto the key. The corresponding shoe locker number is the same as the locker number, and the key is also communal. If you lose the key, you will have to pay for compensation, so please keep it safe.

When you enter the bathhouse, there is a locker room on the right and a dressing table on the left. There is a hairdryer, comb, and basic makeup products prepared on the dressing table.

Inside, there is a bathhouse. If you have booked a body scrub package, you can come here to receive it.

Once you enter the bathhouse, you'll find three types of baths and shower facilities. In this sauna, they don't provide shampoo, conditioner, or body wash, so if you didn't bring them, you'll need to purchase them at the front desk. The last picture is the cold bath. If the sauna or hot baths feel too warm, you can cool down your body in the cold bath.

In the bathhouse, there are two saunas, a steam sauna and a dry sauna.

Golden Sauna is divided by partitions so that you can receive a private bath. When receiving a massage in another place, it felt awkward when making eye contact with the person lying next to me, but here I can receive it comfortably!

After shower, go down one floor and enter the jjimjilbang. When you enter the jjimjilbang, there is a row of charcoals on the right.

In front of the jjimjilbang, there are stairs. If you go up the stairs, you will see the first sleeping room. The place is divided into bright and dark areas, so you can lie down according to your preference.

Next to the staircase, there's an artemisia room. Inside, there's a low bath where you can experience steam bathing using steam generated from boiling artemisia. Artemisia steaming is believed to help with irregular menstruation and promote blood circulation. It's especially beneficial for women. If you want to experience the low bath, you'll need to pay an additional fee of 30,000 KRW on-site.

It's not just sleep-focused jjimjilbang, but also has hot sauna! This particular hot sauna has been around for about 30 years and is a traditional one. However, entry is prohibited for those with certain conditions such as children, high blood pressure, the elderly, and those under the influence of alcohol, so please keep that in mind. Additionally, due to the high temperature, it's advisable to avoid bringing your mobile phone if possible when entering!

Lastly, as you go further inside the jjimjilbang, you'll come across the second sleeping area. This second sleeping area is made of yellow soil, offering detoxification, decomposition, fertilizing elements, purification, and efficient cellular activity. It has effects on bodily functions such as detoxification and the expulsion of harmful substances. Although not particularly spacious, it's like a concentrated powerhouse! Enjoy various experiences and spend a night at an affordable price!
