Our Visit

Today, we visited Miso Sauna where you can enjoy a full course from sauna to massage. Miso Sauna is located about a 5-minute walk from Chungjeongno Station, so it's really convenient to visit. Sauna and bath are indispensable part of Koreans' lives. After sweating it out and refreshing the body, you can alleviate both physical and mental fatigue by indulging in desired massages or skincare treatments. For individuals with sedentary jobs like students and office workers, as well as for active individuals like athletes and travelers, it's almost essential.

When you come inside, you can see a clean interior. The facilities are not old and the cleaning is very well done, so I felt that it is well taken care of.

When you arrive, you can change into the clothes provided in the changing room and wear the provided hat at the Miso Sauna. Inside, there are towels, a hairdryer, a comb, body lotion, and other necessary items, so there is no need to bring a lot of things separately.

A small space is provided for sauna. The space is not big, but there are two types of saunas with temperatures of about 76 degrees Celsius and 86 degrees Celsius, so you can use them as you like. It's also a good idea to take turns using it!

The interior was just right for sweating. If you go with your family or friends, you can enjoy a lively conversation and have fun inside. It's okay to put a towel around your neck to prevent sweating.

Before going to the bathhouse, there is a massage chair like this. Jwahoon is a traditional Korean therapy that involves directing steam from steamed herbal medicine onto the perineum. Recently, it has gained popularity worldwide. Jwahoon generates warmth, aids in sterilization, and promotes blood circulation. It's particularly known to benefit women. If you experience coldness in the body, irregular menstruation, menstrual pain, or lower abdominal discomfort, I highly recommend giving it a try.

Just put on a gown and sit on the left-hand side. Warm steam rises and you can really feel your body getting warm. Good herbal ingredients are said to be included in various ways!

Then I went into the bathhouse. The interior is available for private use on a small scale, and shampoo and rinse are also provided, so it's convenient. Tang is divided into two types, low temperature and high temperature, so you can use it according to your preference. I could relax in the warm water.

Miso Sauna is a place that specializes in body scrub, and it had four beds. Many Koreans use the sauna regularly to take care of the dead skin cells on their bodies. Although I could do it alone, I was able to receive better and more comfortable service when an expert did it directly. Also, the staff member carefully pushed and my skin felt soft after use.

Then, it's time for massages. The massage therapist was really experienced, so they immediately noticed the painful areas and relieved them. Because she had good strong pressure, I was able to receive a more refreshing massage.

She placed a warm stone on my back. At first, I was worried it would be too hot, but it was a pleasant warmth that loosened my muscles. Once my body warmed up, I could feel the tense muscles relax.

Afterwards, she did a foot massage. From the foot to the calf, she pressed meticulously. The feet seem to be connected to all parts of the body, so just a foot massage alone can make the whole body feel refreshed.

I also received a facial massage, and they even removed my makeup using a cleanser since I had a make up. I felt that they were meticulous in their approach and the massage itself was refreshing. They provided a comprehensive massage, starting from the face to the shoulders and even the upper chest area. After the massage, I noticed that both my face and shoulder line felt more relaxed. For those who tend to experience facial puffiness, I believe the effects would be truly remarkable.

Next, she applied a face pack. She made the pack right in front of me and applied it according to the proportion, so I trusted it more. The pack was refreshing and helped cool down the skin, and it also helped soothe the skin. I lay down for about 15 minutes after getting a massage, and I felt sleepy.

To finish, they wiped off the mask and tidied up my face with a warm towel. Then, they applied moisturizing cream, and that's it!

It's not easy to experience sauna, body scrub, and massage all in one place, but at Miso Sauna, it's possible! After enjoying the full course, my body feels really refreshed and clean. If you are tired from traveling or other activities, enjoy a course of your choice at Miso Sauna!
