What to Expect

Day 1

Yeongju Museom Village Circular Trail (Outer Pine Tree Bridge)

Museom Village's original name in our language, Sudo-ri (水島里), refers to an island floating on water. As of 2004, the village has around 100 residents living in 48 households. Among these, 38 are traditional houses, and 16 are representative upper-class homes from the late Joseon Dynasty, over a century old. Museom Village is known for providing a true taste of the old Seonbi village, offering a glimpse into the past.

Lunch (Seonbi Village Jongga House)

Seonbi Village Jongga House's beef rice soup boasts a deep flavor that cannot be experienced in ordinary restaurants, and serves each customer with a special taste. It is a popular restaurant where many customers from out of town also visit to eat beef and rice soup.

Sosu Seowon

In 1542, Punggi Gunsu Ju Se-bung (周世鵬) established a shrine for the Confucian scholar An Hyang (安珦) from the Goryeo Dynasty and, in 1543, founded Baegundong Seowon after passing the civil service examination. This was the origin of this Seowon. Even during the suppression of Seowons by the Daewongun in 1871, this Seowon remained intact, preserving its original appearance, among the 47 Seowons that survived the suppression.

Seonbi World (K-Culture Theme Park)

Seonbi World is a cultural theme park of South Korea located in Yeongju, the birthplace of Seonbi, encompassing the beautiful gifts of nature and rich cultural heritage bestowed by the sky. At Seonbi World, visitors can experience the values and spirit of Seonbi by observing, wearing, eating, and enjoying, all in the style of Seonbi. The park is built on six themes: Hanok (traditional Korean house), Hanbok (traditional Korean clothing), Hansik (Korean cuisine), Hanji (traditional Korean paper), Hangeul (Korean alphabet), and Han music (Korean traditional music).

Buseoksa Temple

Buseoksa Temple, founded during the 16th year of King Munmu's reign in the Silla Dynasty by the priest Uisang under the royal decree, is a temple of the Hwaeom sect. Presently, it serves as the branch temple of Daegyejong, the 16th district headquarters of Jogye Order, under the name "Go Unsa." The literal translation of Buseoksa is "Temple of the Floating Stone," which is related to a legend from the time of its establishment by Uisang. Furthermore, Buseoksa is renowned for the poignant love story between Uisang and Sunmyo Agassi, intricately woven into its founding history.

Day 2

Dodamsambong Peak

The picturesque and unique sight of peaks rising above the water is captivating and has made this area a popular tourist destination. Among the sights of Danyang, this is the most frequently mentioned and is characterized by its highest central peak called Janggunbong, the northern peak named Cheobong, and the southern peak known as Cheopbong. Janggunbong is positioned to face Cheobong and overlook Cheopbong. According to legend, this formation is said to represent a husband, wife, and child, as the wife sits with a stone baby in her arms. They are also referred to as Father Peak, Son Peak, and Daughter Peak, respectively.

Gosu Cave

Gosu Cave is a mysterious underground palace that has formed over a period of 500 million years. The limestone in Gosu Cave, which dates back 500 million years to the Precambrian Era, was deposited on the ocean floor. About 100 million years ago, it was uplifted above sea level, and around 2 million years ago, the process of stalactite formation began, eventually leading to the creation of the cave as it exists today. Gosu Cave is often compared to the world-renowned Luray Caverns in the United States. The enigmatic shapes of stalactites and stalagmites, along with cave pearls, cave corals, and petrified formations, create a mystical and grand landscape that evokes the imagery of an underground palace.

Paragliding at Yangbangsan Paragliding Site

Experience a thrilling sky adventure by paragliding off Yangbangsan and soaring over Danyang, enjoying panoramic views of the city before landing along the southern banks of the Namhan River!

Day 3

Jando Road

The Dan-yanggang Jando road, located near Mancheonha Skywalk, is a charming 1.2km-long path that follows the cliffs of the Namhan River, allowing you to stroll along and enjoy the scenic beauty of the river. After breakfast, take a leisurely walk along the Jando road, taking in the picturesque Han River views and sharing heartfelt conversations with your loved ones, hand in hand.

Mancheonha Skywalk

The Skywalk offers an exhilarating experience where you can walk on a sky path high above the cliffs of the Namhan River, with a view of 80-90m below the water's surface. From here, you can take in the cityscape and even catch a distant glimpse of the scenic Seoraksan Yeonhwabong. Located at Malgguphyeong's Manhakcheonbong Observatory, the Three Fingers Skywalk is a 15m-long, 2m-wide high-strength triple-layered glass platform. Walk to the edge of the cliff and experience the thrill of looking down at the flowing Namhan River beneath your feet while enjoying the breathtaking sensation of walking at the edge of the precipice!

Board Jangheonaru Ferry (One-way from Danyang to Cheongpung)

When you board the Janghoenaru cruise, you'll have the opportunity to take in the views of Oksoonsan, Gudamsan, and Gangseondaegyo Bridge. Janghoenaru is also where the annual Duhyang Festival is held, commemorating the passionate love story of Toegye Yi Hwang and his beloved Duhyang, as they crossed the Danyang River on their journey.

Selmachon Tofu - Soft Tofu

Seolma Chon Tofu is a restaurant nestled in the tranquil mountains of Danyang, known for its delicious tofu dishes. They make fresh tofu daily using locally sourced ingredients, offering a delectable and healthy dining experience with the rich flavors of homemade tofu.

Cheongpung Cable Car (Bibongsan Observatory - 10 minutes duration)

At the serene and beautiful Cheongpung Lake, you can create wonderful and joyful memories with the Cheongpung Hoban Cable Car. The Cheongpung Hoban Cable Car operates a 2.3km route from Muldaeri in Cheongpung-myeon to the summit of Bibongsan Mountain. With 43 10-passenger cabins from Austria's Doppelmayr company, it offers a leisurely and comfortable ride, allowing you to enjoy the picturesque scenery of the inland sea and create lasting memories.

Cheongpung Cultural Heritage Complex

Cheongpung was a place known for its picturesque natural landscapes and flourishing culture, with many cultural heritage sites. However, due to the construction of the Chungju Dam, the villages of Husan-ri in Cheongpung-myeon, Hwangseok-ri, and Jigok-ri in Susan-myeon were facing the threat of being submerged, along with their cultural assets. To address this challenge, the Chungcheongbuk-do Provincial Government embarked on a project to relocate and restore the cultural heritage of the submerged areas. Over a period of three years starting from 1983, they relocated and restored the cultural heritage sites to their current locations, creating a cultural village that preserves and showcases these valuable artifacts.

Day 4

Uirimji (Riverside Walk & Yongchu Waterfall)

The Uirimji is one of the representative hydraulic facilities in South Korea, and although the construction period is uncertain, it is known to have existed since the Three Kingdoms period. The Jelim is a forest of pine and birch trees located on the Uirimji embankment. The main species is the centuries-old pine tree, along with birch, cedar, oak, and cherry trees, all growing together to create a beautiful landscape. Designated as the 11th monument of Chungcheongbuk-do on December 21, 1976, it was changed to the 20th scenic spot on December 4, 2006, and is currently managed by Jecheon City.

Jecheon Mosan Airfield (BTS Music Video Shooting Location)

Jecheon Mosan Airfield, which was once a military-owned airfield and even featured in BTS's "Hwa Yang Yeon Hwa" music video, has been transferred to Jecheon City in 2021. Jecheon Mosan Airfield is a scenic spot where various flowers bloom and wither according to the seasons, making it a perfect location for photography. Additionally, as a filming location for a BTS music video, it holds special significance for ARMY, so be sure to capture commemorative photos there.

Petite Chandelier

This is a French bakery and café where there is a pastry chef who graduated from the famous French culinary school, Le Cordon Bleu. All the bread and desserts are freshly made on-site, and the coffee is served in two varieties: Dark Blending and Decaffeinated.
