Our Visit
Teddy Beurre House is a renowned croissant cafe in Yongsan. Not only is it famous for its delicious desserts, but it has gained popularity due to its beautiful interior and exterior ambiance!
Teddy Beurre House has been gaining a lot of attention recently, with people lining up even before it opens in the morning. We arrived at around 11 a.m., which was before the opening time, but there were already people waiting in line. The place gets crowded quickly after it opens even on weekdays during the morning hours, so keep that in mind when you visit!
The cafe had a warm atmosphere with wooden interiors. There were teddy bear dolls placed throughout the space, which gives you a feeling of being in a beautifully decorated European home. Once you enter, make sure to find a seat first and then place your order!
When placing your order, you can get a tray with parchment paper and use tongs to pick up the pastries. This place offers a variety of delicious pastries, but the Teddy Beurre House's best menus are the croissant and pistachio queen amandine (6,300 KRW). As for drinks, the pistachio latte (8,000 KRW) is known to be the most delicious! Please note that when dining in the store, one drink per person is required.
On sunny days, you can take beautiful photos at the window seats. Step outside the cafe and try capturing some pictures!
The pistachio queen amandine has a crispy pastry crust with a layer of pistachio cream spread inside, making it even more delicious when eaten with the bread. The nutty texture of the pistachio bits complements the bread nicely. The pistachio cream latte, with a generous amount of pistachio cream on top, is both nutty and sweet. Try enjoying it along with the croissant for a delightful combination.
They also serve a menu called "Kreungji" (5,800 KRW), which is made by flattening the croissant and coating it with a sauce. It pairs better with an Americano rather than a cream latte! I would recommend this menu for those who enjoy something sweet. If you prefer something less sweet, you can simply try the croissant alone. If the bread has cooled down, you can warm it up here!
If you are planning to look around Yongsan, you may want to check out this cafe. If you visit late in the day, be aware that some menus may be sold out, so it's best to visit during the morning to early afternoon hours.
You can make reservations for this place through Tablein. If it's crowded, you can wait at the nearby photo studio called Plan.b Studio and take some four-cut photos.
How to Get There
You can go to Teddy Beurre House from the Samgakji station. Leave Exit 3 and walk straight ahead. After a while, cross the short pedestrian crosswalk.
After walking straight and passing through one alley, make a left turn, and continue straight ahead. You'll easily notice it since it's painted in blue, and there's a teddy bear standing in front of the cafe. You can also easily find Teddy Beurre House from Yongsan Station Exit 1 or Sinyongsan Station Exit 1. There are various restaurants and shopping malls near Yongsan, so look around after your visit!
