What to Expect

The Third Tunnel

The 3rd Tunnel (제3땅굴) is a tunnel discovered in 1978, located 12 km from Munsan and 52 km from Seoul. It has a width and height of 2 meters and extends for a total length of 1,635 meters. The tunnel was built by North Korea as an infiltration route into South Korea. Currently, it serves as a tourist attraction with facilities such as the DMZ Exhibition Hall, symbolic sculptures, and souvenir shops, offering various attractions for visitors. The tunnel can be explored on foot, and by participating in the DMZ educational program in Paju City, visitors can conveniently visit other security-related destinations such as Dorasan Station, Dora Observatory, and Imjingak.

Dora Observatory

Dora Observatory, located at the northernmost point on the western side of South Korea, is a three-story observation tower. From the observatory, visitors can see a panoramic view of the DMZ, Kaesong Industrial Complex, Kaesong City, as well as North Korean propaganda village and Mount Songak.

JSA (Joint Security Area)

JSA is officially called the 'Joint Security Area' of the UN forces and North Korean forces, and is a special area outside the administrative jurisdiction between North and South Korea.

JSA is a historic place located 62KM away from Seoul and 215KM away from Pyongyang, bearing witness to the division of Korea.
