Gamcheon Culture Village

Have you heard of Gamcheon Culture Village? It's known as the "Machu Picchu of Korea" and it was created during the Korean War in 1950 when refugees from the northern regions flocked to Busan. The village boasts a unique and picturesque landscape of colorful houses that seem to cling to the hillsides. In fact, it's been featured in a few music videos because of its vibrant and eye-catching scenery. But that's not all! Gamcheon Culture Village has been transformed into a lively and artful community with installations of sculptures and murals that adorn the narrow alleys. There are also various hands-on workshops and souvenir shops to peruse. And don't forget to strike a pose at the iconic photo spot where the Little Prince and the desert fox gaze down upon the village. It's a highlight of Gamcheon Culture Village and a perfect opportunity to capture unforgettable memories.

Busan International Market & Jagalchi Market

In 1945, as Japan withdrew from Korea following its liberation, the International Market emerged as a bustling hub for selling the remaining goods left behind. It quickly transformed from a mere marketplace to a bustling center of commerce. Following the Korean War, refugees took up business in the market and it became a lively trading center where all kinds of goods, including military supplies smuggled through Busan Port by US troops, were supplied to the rest of the country. But that's not all - the International Market is also a foodie's paradise, with a diverse range of culinary delights to indulge in. And if you're in the vicinity, be sure to check out the famous eel at the nearby Jagalchi Market!

Moreover, those who have seen the movie "International Market" often make a point to visit here, perhaps to relive some of the emotions they felt while watching the film. The movie's popularity also had a significant impact on Busan's tourism industry, as more and more visitors have come to see the market and other filming locations in person.

Yongdusan Park

Boasting the iconic Busan Tower at its peak, Yongdusan Park offers a one-of-a-kind experience that's just a quick 3-minute walk from the bustling Nampo-dong district. Whether you're in the mood for a peaceful stroll or a little bit of adventure, Yongdusan Park has got you covered. With a tranquil temple and a stunning cathedral on-site, you can take your pick of calming vibes. And if you're up for a little bit of exercise, you can easily ascend the hill using either the escalators or stairs for a light, refreshing workout.

The Songdo Skywalk is located at Songdo Beach and has been listed as one of the top 10 attractions in Busan's Seo-gu district. It's basically a skywalk that stretches over the sea, with a width of 2.3m and a length of 104m. You can actually see the ocean underneath as you stroll along it. Legend has it that if a couple in love walks the skywalk together, their love will be sealed forever thanks to Turtle Island. So why not take in the refreshing sea breeze and breathtaking views of the East Sea from the Songdo Skywalk and see if you can make that love connection happen!

Taejongdae Observatory

Taejongdae Park, a gem nestled in Busan, has long been a favorite haven for poets and scholars. This breathtaking oasis offers expansive views that will make your heart soar. On clear days, you can even catch a glimpse of Japan's Tsushima Island, 56km away! Taejongdae's awe-inspiring beauty lies in its harmonious blend of abundant natural resources and stunning coastline.

Ohryukso Island Skywalk

The Oryukdo Skywalk, a 15-meter glass bridge, is an architectural marvel built atop a 35-meter coastal cliff. Featuring 24 horseshoe-shaped glass panels on steel beams, its floor is made of specially designed high-strength bulletproof glass, ensuring safety. The ever-changing hues of the ocean before the Skywalk create a picture-perfect scene, making it a top spot for photography. Attracting over a million visitors annually, this national treasure continues to captivate hearts and eyes alike.
