We went to Waxing & Line in Hongdae to see what the salon was like. More and more people in Korea have been getting their bodies waxed because of the convenience and cleanliness. Waxing & Line not only does Brazilian waxing but also face, hairline, and eyebrow waxing as well.

When you step into the salon, you'll be greeted with grey and blue walls with a hint of green. There are interesting vintage trinkets all over the shop which makes the waiting area homey, which would help with the nervousness before your wax!

When you first enter the shop, you must change into the slippers on your left. Then you will go into consultation with the owner.

First, you'll have to fill in a Customer Record Form. Waxing is a procedure that can cause irritations to sensitive skin, so please be aware of this before you sign the papers. If you do happen to get skin irritation after your wax, visit your nearest pharmacy and ask for medication for your skin. The consultant will explain what is on the form thoroughly so please listen carefully.

For the full-face wax, the consultant will draw on what fits your face best with a white pencil. They will show it to you to get your confirmation whether you like the design. You can always tell them how you want your wax to get done so don't hesitate to express your needs. The owner has over 10 years of experience and is used to giving clients customized results.

Before your body wax, you'll need to take a shower first. There is a clean shower booth with all items needed for a shower provided so use the facilities as you wish. Once you finish your shower, it's time for your Brazilian wax!

There are a total of 3 waxing rooms and they are all cozy and comfortable. You will be able to see the wax and instruments needed for the wax at the side.

One room out of the three is a bit more spacious and this is where most clients get their waxing done.

Just like in the other room, there are waxing instruments displayed at the side. Waxing & Line uses high-quality wax from Australia called Lycon which is great for sensitive skin.

The third room was as warm and homey as the others. Each room has its own tool sanitizing machine which lets you know that the salon takes care of it hygiene carefully. Each wax session may take up to an hour but will differ depending on which body part you are getting waxed.

They say that once you get waxed, you can never go back to shaving. That's how convenient and clean waxing is! If you've always wanted to get a wax but hesitate because you didn't know where to get it done, stop by Waxing & Line in Korea!
