Preview

Seokmodo Hot Spring

Ganghwa Island has a unique hot spring where they heat up mineral-packed ocean water which is better for your body. Take a dunk in the warm waters and look out into the Yellow Sea!

Joyang Textile

Joyang Textile can be frequently seen on social media. What was once a textile factory, Joyang Textile was regenerated into a gallery cafe preserving the general structure and even some of its old furniture. Ganghwa Island thrived as a textile manufacturing area in the 1970s but died down in the 1990s due to new textile technology. Take a look at Incheon's history at Joyang Textile.

The cafe is spacious and decorated with unique vintage furniture. You will see why it is Insta-famous because every corner of the cafe is picture worthy!

Ganghwa Pungmul Market

Pungmul Market is a market that carries local produce, goods, street food, and more! On the first floor of the market, you will find local produce and the wet market with the freshest seafood. On the second floor are various restaurants and street food stalls where you can taste the local cuisine!

From fish to potatoes, rice and other veg, the market is lively with vendors and hungry buyers. Pungmul Market is especially known for its mats made of straw and ginseng! The market only opens on the 2nd, 7th, 12th, 17th, 22nd, and 27th of every month(every 5 days), so keep that in mind!

Seonggonghoe Ganghwa Cathedral

Seonggonghoe Ganghwa Cathedral is quite unique as it is inside of a hanok made of wood and stone. You can see traditional Korean influence on the exterior of the cathedral and Western Basilica structures on the inside. The cathedral is definitely one of a kind so spend your last minutes on the tour exploring the cathedral grounds!
