Sizes: Men's sizes range from 85 - 115 and women's sizes range from 44 - 110 (Based on Korean clothing size) 

Children's hanboks are available for children from 1 years old. 

If you pass your allotted rental time, you will need to pay an additional 5,000 KRW for each hour.

Gyeongbokgung Palace is closed on Tuesdays and Changdeokgung Palace is closed on Mondays. Each month has different opening hours so please check beforehand.

The rental shop has employees that can communicate in Korean, English, and Chinese.

On the list of must-dos in Seoul, renting a hanbok and visiting a royal palace may be number one on the list! Many tourists, both Korean and foreign, come to Seoul and wear traditional Korean clothing to walk around the royal palaces and the surrounding neighborhoods. That is why there are so many hanbok rental shops in the area! Out of the many available, Dorothy Hanbok is known to have hanboks that have been made by an expert who has made hanbok for over 40 years! The rental shop itself opened in 2016 and was among the first to open in the Hanok Village, Gyeongbokgung Palace area. 

The shop itself isn't too spacious, but there are tons of hanbok variations to choose from! The colorful hanboks neatly arrayed on display are a sight for sore eyes! 

There are two fitting rooms on one side of the shop and on the walls are pictures of past customers who've enjoyed their rental hanboks from Dorothy Hanbok. 

For men's hanbok, there are hanboks that were worn by men of different jobs back in the day. There are also hanboks worn by Kings, which are commonly shown in K-dramas. There are also hats called "gat" which you can wear to finesse your look! 

There are several accessories available free of charge that will help you complete your look.

If you want to get your hair done but don't know how to do it yourself, an employee will help you style your hair! The traditional daenggi braid will make you look like you're really out of a K-drama!

How to Get There

Exit Anguk Station from Exit 1.

Walk into the alleyway right next to Exit 1.

Walk straight for approximately 150 m and look for the Dorothy Hanbok sign like in the photo above.

Walk into the building and go to the second floor. You've arrived at Dorothy Hanbok!
