Today, we're going to introduce a nail salon located in the middle of Seoul in Gangnam called Witch Nails. We're specifically recommending this salon because of its meticulous attention to detail and diversity in the choice of design.

Things to Keep In Mind
Duration: Approximately 1 to 2 hours.
Available reservation time: 10:00 to 20:00.
On weekdays, a maximum of 2 people can make a reservation, and on weekends, up to 3 people can make a reservation.
The "Art of the Month" design is updated every month. Please use the blog design as a reference, but you should decide on the design at the salon. If there is a price difference based on the design, please make the payment at the salon.
Once the reservation is confirmed, refunds are not possible for sudden product changes or cancellations on-site. (For example, changing from the "Art of the Month" to a basic gel after making a reservation, or reserving both hand and foot nail art but only proceeding with the hand)
Options for gel nail removal or nail extensions cannot be added on-site as they require a significant amount of time. If needed, please make a reservation in advance.
Nutrition gel is a special gel that provides moisture and nutrition to dry nails, maintaining the health of the nails and providing a glossy finish. It is recommended for customers with weak nails, and the maintenance period is 2-3 weeks.
Reservations must be made at least 3 days in advance.
Reservation changes and cancellations are possible up to 3 days prior to the reservation, and after that, changes/cancellations/refunds are not possible.
If you cancel before 3 days in advance, a full refund is possible.

Today, we visited a nail salon in Gangnam to get our nails done! The salon is located near Sinnonhyeon Station and was super easy to find! It was only a 200m walk from Sinnonhyeon Station Exit 7.
As soon as we entered the salon, the array of bright colors of the displayed nail polish caught our eye! It was fun looking at all the colors available. There seemed to be more than a hundred colors so the salon looked pretty professional.
There are four chairs where customers can get their manicures and behind are chairs made specifically for pedicures. The entire salon had hints of dusty pink and looked well-maintained!
There is a waiting area by the entrance with a comfy couch and magazines to read so if you arrive earlier or if the session before you ends a little bit later, you can wait for your turn comfortably! Of course if you book a session beforehand like us, it is rare that you'd have to wait.
There is a corner with a hanger and shelves where you can hang your coat and store your handbag during your session.
Witch Nails has so many different designs you can choose from. We've been to a lot of nail salons and this one had the most out of them all! The diversity of the designs also shocked us as well. There were definitely more than a few designs we liked! We chose one of the simpler but more sophisticated designs.
There is a display of all the available designs by the window. Take a look before you choose what you want!
At Witch Nails, they have separate designs called 'Art of the Month'. Every month, they change their 'Art of the month' and charge a lower price for these specific designs. When we visited in October, there were a total of 12 designs. The price range is from 79,000 KRW to 149,000 KRW so take a look!
There may be girlies that like lavish designs but also those that like simple, one-color manicures. Witch Nails has an insane collection of colors as well, so you can choose the exact color you want!
We also wanted something simple, so we chose number 18(refer to the picture above) in preparation for the upcoming Fall! It was a dusty pink shade that had a slight transparent gloss.
First off, before we got our manicure, we washed our hands thoroughly at the sink inside the salon.
Before the session began, the nail technician asked us what nail shape we wanted. Whether you want shorter, rounder nails or sharper, longer nails, you can let the nail technician know. We asked for our original nail shape to be kept and just tidied a little.
With a handy machine, the nail technician shaped our nails and then removed our cuticles. The equipment used looked brand new so you know they take care of hygenine as well as maintenance. This process did not hurt at all so you can sit back and relax.
In order to keep hydrating our nails, the nail technician kept spraying water on our nails.
And or nails were shaped and cleaned! Don't they look healthy and neat? This took about 30 minutes. Now it's time to paint on the actual nail polish.
First, the nail technician applies a base and puts it under a lamp to cure it. This process is repeated 2 to 3 times.
This helped our nails become glossy. Now all we need is to apply the gel polish in the color that we chose earlier. We tested two different colors before applying it on fully to see which color fit us best. Eventually, we chose a dusty pink color with brown undertones!
It's now time to apply the gul gel polish on all our nails. The nail technician does this with extra care so there aren't any visible streaks.
We cured the gel polish under the lamp for 30 second for each hand. This will help with the gel lasting power.
We repeated this process for 2 to 3 more times and added layers for an opaque finish.
You can talk to the nail technician if you get bored or you can watch the TV in front of you. Time flew by quickly and we were not bored at all.
Once the gel was applied and cured, a top coat is applied. This will also help with the lasting power.
Lastly, the nail technician will file away imperfections for a more complete finish.
Then, with a special piece of equipment, she cured the nails individually, one last time. This process, after the general nail care, also look approximately 30 minutes.
Te results were exactly what I expected and wanted. A simple yet sophisticated look with a natural sheen! I was more than satisfied with my end results.
