Aroma Forest is located on the 9th floor of the Good Morning City Shopping Mall near Exit 14 of Dongdaemun History and Culture Park Station (동대문역사문화공원역). Since you can get to this station from subway lines 2, 4, and 5, transpiration is quite simple when navigating to the store.

Once you go inside, you can se that there are seats that have a view right out the shop. We chose to sit there.

While the seats near the window are nice, don't worry if they're all taken. If you go down the hallway, you will see there are more seats available. Also remember, since you made a reservation, the boss will help you on every step of the way (even if it's just finding a seat).

Make Your Own Perfume 

Price: 30ml: 30,000 KRW, 50ml: 40,000 KRW

Once we found our seat, we finally began the process to make our own perfume. There are two types of perfumes you can create. The first is a luxury style perfume and another where you make your own perfume by selecting two or more scents and mixing them in the desired ratio. The most important part of this whole process is to know your own taste. You can tell the perfumer about the fragrance you usually use if you already have a favorite that you use.

But what happens if you don't have a favorite scent? Or maybe you don't know much about perfumes at all? No problem. Since there is so many fragrances in the shop, you can take the time to smell as many as you like to get an idea of what scent you would want for your perfume. Once you get a sense of what you like, then the perfumer can guide you on your way to getting your fragrance just right.

However, it's important that if you keep smelling fragrances for too long, then it will be hard to distinguish them from each other AND you might get dizzy. So, to give your nose a break, you can sniff some coffee beans to refresh and get right back to smell tasting!

There are so many unique scents so its easy to get distracted by how many options there are. If you have a favorite scent, try to rank it amongst others. It can be easy to choose one you like, but when you need to narrow it down to a few, it's important to choose what you like best. 

In the end, these were the final scents we chose to make our perfume. It was actually a surprise to us to so we're keeping that in mind for the next time we buy perfume.

Once you've selected your scents, then you can start to create your own scent! First you start by putting your perfume on the scale. 

The instructor let me know that I could see how much I was putting in of my chosen fragrances by checking the weight in the scale as I put in some drops. It's okay if it's a little over or not enough since you can correct the fragrance by doing a smell check! If it's off, add a little more of the missing fragrance and you're good to go.

Once you are satisfied with the fragrance, then you can move onto color! If you look at the color options in front of you, you will see that there is pink, yellow, green, and sky blue. Whichever color you think suits your fragrance best, you can put in.

Once you have put your desired color into the bottle, you will place it onto the vibrator to let the color and fragrance mix together naturally.

Once we were finished making the perfume, the perfumer gave us a sticker to label our bottle. All in all, the process took about an hour — 30 minutes for testing fragrances and 30 minutes to produce our own.
