Our Visit
The atmosphere of Light Day Today is very light and peaceful which gives you a warm feeling as soon as you enter.
Not only is Light Day Toady a cafe, bu they sell other household items like cleaning tools, environmental straws, toothbrushes and soaps. Since this is a vegan cafe, it is no surprise that they keep these kind of things in mind.
Other sustainable products they have include paper bags and eco bags.
They also have a variety of reusable cups and tumblers for sale. If you buy one of these cups, you can get a 1,000 KRW discount on your drink and a 5% discount on desserts.
The cafe is small with few seats, but the interior design is sophisticated and elegant.
The Earl Gray Madeleines (2,000 KRW) are the most popular dessert in the cafe. They are not too sweet so they go very with with tea.
In addition, the cherry blossom cookie next to it is a new product that the owner is developing. The taste was similar to cereal and was covered with strawberry jam.
We were also able to try the Granola Blueberry Pound Cake (3,700 KRW) which was covered with a blueberry sauce, the Choco Gugelhoff Pound Cake (3,500 KRW) which had a strong chocolate flavor and the Fig Scone (2,500 KRW) which had a very unique flavor.
Recently, tea made from roasted tea leaves has become popular in Korea so that is where the inspiration fro the Hojiicha Latte (5,000 KRW) came from. The drink utilizes roasted tea leaves with milk to create a very rich and unique tea flavor and scent.
The Hand Drip coffee is made by the owner. The freshly made coffee goes well with all the various desserts available at the cafe. Despite being a dessert, all the treats are not too unhealthy which allows you to enjoy without worry.
How to Get There
Take the Incheon Subway and get off at Gulpocheon Station (굴포천역) and take Exit 6. Then you will walk straight about 400m.
When you see e-mart 24, you will turn left into the alley and go straight.
Turn right in the direction of the GS25 convenience store and enter the alley when you see the Seonjin branch (선진포크).
Go straight until you see Zeus Design and then turn left.
From there, go straight until you see Light Day Today.
