Seongsu-Dong HDD Pizza Review

Seongsu-dong is a neighborhood that has risen to popularity within the last few years! They are famous for having many unique fusion foods, wine bars, and cafe options here. They are also known for having a variety of western food options as well. Today, we will introduce a delicious pizza place in Seongsu-dong, located right next to Seoul Forest. For those that want to relax at Seoul Forest and grab a bite to eat after, we recommend you keep on reading!

Why Why We Recommend It 

HDD is a great placve to come grab a bite to eat after spending some time at Seoul Forest. It is loacted near Seoul Forest. 

It is also a great option for those that want to to take it to go eat it while having a picnic at Seoul Forest. 

HDD's pizzas have and abundant amount of toppings and a delicious chewy dough. The ingredients are high quality, which can be seen when eating the pizza. 

The interior of the store is very hip and well decorated. There are various goods such as cute stickers and candles that are inside. It is perfect for those looking for a cute place to eat and take photos!

Our Visit

HDD Pizza stands for Happy Delicious Day and is a pizza shop located near Seoul Forest. To find the shop you can walk along the food street that is near Seoul Forest. 

This place is very popular, so you might have to brace a crowd and wait a little before you can get seated! 

The entrance of the shop is all glass, which creates a bright, airy atmosphere in the store. If you sit neat the entrance, you can people watch those passing by.  

At the front of the store, you will be greeted by this cute HDD sign! We couldn't resist taking a photo of it! 

Overall, the interior of the store is small, so it can only fit around 10 to 15 people.

The interior color scheme is orange and white. The orange adds a cute and retro atmosphere to the whole restaurant. We liked how it resembled a New York style pizzeria but still had it's own personal touches! 

There were also cute pizza posters on the wall. Overall, the interior was very hip. It felt like somewhere all the cool kids would flock too!

This is the view of the street from the inside of the store. We liked how the windows opened up because it allowed for a light breeze to come through. This place is perfect for a warm summers night! 

On the other side of the store, you can find the menu. There are 4 different types of pizza in total, but you can combine them by ordering half and half! 

There is also a variety of drink options that you can order. Once you order the drink, you can take it out for the refrigerator yourself! 

They even matched the cutlery and tables with the interior of the store! The forks, knives, and table were also orange, which we thought was a cute touch! 

We opted for half of the pepperoni pizza and half of the truffle potato pizza (20,000 won) It took around ten minutes for our food to come out. 

When the pizza came out we were shocked at the mountain of toppings on the pizza! It looked so delicious! 

We also liked that we could mix it up and order half and half. The more the merrier! The size of the pizza was not extremely big, it is suitable to feed two adults. 

Although pepperoni can be a very basic pizza, this one was very delicious and stood out due to it's thick and chewy dough! The outside was very crispy, but the inside was soft and chewy, making it stand out in comparison to many other pizza places. 

The truffle potato pizza was topped with mini has brown potatoes and topped with a truffle cream. It had a very creamy taste and the truffle flavor was fragrant and delicious! The potatoes added a nice amount of texture and a savory flavor. If you are a fan of truffle, make sure to try this item out! 

Also don't forget that you can take out your pizza here so if you want to have a picnic at Seoul Forest, you can order a pie to go and enjoy it while having a picnic at Seoul Forest!
