Our Visit

The restaurant is located just a quick 9-minute walk from Hongik University Station. You won't miss the store as it sports a flashy red exterior.

The shop is located on the 2nd floor so you can use the staircase located on the side to get up to the restaurant.

When you enter the restaurant, you will be greeted by these cute sushi plushies! They were so cute, we almost felt like we might not be able to eat the sushi as we had planned!

The inside of the restaurant consists mainly of counter table seats and two tables that could fit up to a party of 4. The majority of the seating is against the sushi bar, which is great for those looking for a fun dining experience.

There are these bells that are attached to the seat to signal to your server if you need something! It is the perfect set up for introverts 😂

This restaurant has over 70 different options on the menu. It can be overwhelming for those that are not the best at making decisions or struggle to pick when given options. Don't worry! The restaurant also has the top eight menus as well and we recommend trying those options out if you are unsure of what to eat!

The first thing that we got brought to our table as soon as we sat down was water and a bowl of miso soup!

The sushi comes out on a Japanese-style conveyor belt, so you are free to choose what you want as it comes toward you. All the plates are different colors, but unlike other conveyor-style sushi restaurants, the different colors do not mean different prices!

All sushi here is 1,990 KRW! If there is a particular sushi that you want that does not come up on the conveyor belt, let the staff know and they will make you one on the spot and bring it to you!

Please note that menu items such as fried food may take a little more time to be brought out as they require additional cooking time.

There are marinated garlic, radish, soy sauce, and wasabi on every table for you to use to garnish and eat as you please!

The different colors on the plates of sushi indicate the way that they are recommended to be eaten. For example, blue plates are dishes that are best served and eaten cold. Red plates are foods that the chef believes to be tastier when eaten warm. You can also ask the staff to reheat red dishes if you want to make them even tastier!

We decided to try the 8 recommended menus that we mentioned before!

Yukhoe (육회)

This is Yukhoe sushi which is raw meat sushi. We know that it might sound weird to eat raw meat, but this is a dish that is enjoyed by many Koreans and is safe to eat when prepared properly. It was seasoned with sesame oil and a delicious way to start our meal!

Soy Sauce Shrimp (간장 새우)

This raw shrimp marinated is soy sauce is a classic sushi option loved by many Koreans. The restaurant did not skimp on the size of the shrimp, and we were pleasantly suprised at how plump and flavorful this shrimp was!

Yangnyeom Marinated Shrimp (양념 새우)

If you have ever tried yangnyeom Korean fried chicken or Korean style marinated crabs, you are going to love this! This shrimp is marinated in a sauce that is very similar to the ones that are used to marinate crabs and chicken! It is spicy yet sweet and pairs perfectly with the rice.

Tuna Tataki (참치 타다끼)

This tuna tataki is a unique sushi that is eaten by wrapping the seaweed in a charcoal-grilled tuna. The tuna was perfectly seasoned and the charcoal grilled flavors melted perfectly with the savory seaweed and mayonnaise sauce! We are drooling just thinking about it again.

Grilled Conch (구운 소라)

This item was not on the list of the 8 recommended items by the chef, but we were feeling adventurous and decided to order it. This grilled conch lies below a blanket of delicious sauce and Parmesan cheese! The cheese and sauce add just the perfect balance of flavor to the conch and we were pleasantly surprised.

Egg Eel (계란 장어)

This egg and eel combination was something that we had never seen before, but did not let us down! The egg provided some sweetness to the eel and the sauce pulled all the ingredients and flavors together. It was a special dish that we had not seen anywhere else before, so we suggest ordering it if you want to try something unique to this restaurant!

Cheese Shrimp Roll (치즈 새우롤)

Salmon Sashimi (연어회)

We ended our meal with a delicious cheese and shrimp roll, and salmon sashimi! I love cheese and salmon so I saved my favorites for last..does anyone else do that?

In addition to sushi, this restaurant sells a wide variety of food including udon, fried foods, and desserts to make sure to take a look at the menu and try out as many items as you can!

When you are done eating, simply let your server know and they will count the number of dishes that you have to calculate your total. If your total racks up to more than 30,000 KRW, make sure to present your Creatrip coupon and get a discount!
