Lotte World Mall
롯데월드 몰
Lotte World Mall is a huge mall that you can enter from ground level or the basement from Jamsil Station. It's very convenient to get to and is perfect to visit if you want to shop in Seoul or if you don't really have any plans for a day.
On the website, 378 stores, restaurants, cafes, and facilities are listed, so you could definitely spend a whole day shopping and hanging out here!
Of course, there's not just shopping here. If you don't know what to do, just come to this mall and you could catch a movie, visit the aquarium, check out the VR arcade, and eat at one of the many restaurants and cafes inside.
The mall is huge, with shopping from the basement level to the 6th floor! There's always a lot of people spending time here with friends or family.
We were right as it opened and there were already people lined up to get in to some of the stores. The inside of the mall is very bright and open, so even if it's crowded, you won't feel too claustrophobic.
There's a wide variety of stores, from beauty, clothes, toys, and electronics and prices will be similar to online prices for each store. There are many popular brands, like H&M, Zara, Uniqlo, and Sephora.

Lotte Avenuel
롯데 에비뉴엘
Lotte Avenuel is connected to the Lotte World Mall through this walkway on the 6th floor or on the basement level. It's a separate mall, but it's convenient that it's connected.
The 6th floor walkway is by a food court in the Lotte World Mall so once you're done eating, you can check this out right next door.
It is a premium department store that carries a lot of luxury and contemporary fashion, jewelry, and beauty brands, such as Gucci, Chanel, and Louis Vuitton. You can feel the luxurious atmosphere just from the gold interior.
Even if you do not want to buy anything from these stores, it's fun to just window shop and look at the beautiful items. The prices are similar to what is listed on the brands' websites. The beauty items were mostly on the basement level and the rest were on the upper floors.

It's great because you can get all your shopping done for yourself and friends back home in one day since these malls are all connected.
To purchase items here, you need to show your flight ticket proving that you have a flight out of Korea, so don't forget it! There were far less people in the duty free and feels more serious as we saw security guards walking around.
Again, there are many luxury brands here, like Saint Laurent, Chanel, Hermes, and Moncler. There's also wine and liquor and Korean beauty brands, like Etude House, Jung Saem Mool, and Innisfree.
Prices will be similar to what is listed on each brand's website, but hopefully, you can get some good deals here since you don't have to pay tax! We recommend visiting if you're looking to buy souvenirs to take back home.
