Insadong offers a large variety of activities to help fill your time in Korea with fun memories. Today, we will be discussing what fun activities you have to add to your to-do list while in Insadong.

Rent a Hanbok at Princess Hanbok

Renting a Hanbok became a must-have travel experience for tourists! There are more than 100 hanbok rental stores in Seoul alone! Princess Hanbok near Gyeongbokgung Palace and Samcheong-dong offers a collection of exquisite traditional Korean costumes at an unbeatable price.

Princess Hanbok is a Hanbok store with a long history that has an extensive collection of Hanbok in the Gyeongbokgung Bukchon area. The owner of Princess Hanbok is originally a traditional Hanbok maker. The store has been owned by his family for over three generations. They have been creating traditional Hanboks for more than 60 years.

Visit Jogyesa Temple

Jogyesa Temple

Jogyesa Temple is the largest Buddhist temple in Korea and was built in 1395 during the early Joseon Dynasty. It wasn't until 1954 that it was renamed Jogyesa Temple.

The temple is located right in Insadong. While it is a popular destination for tourists, there is also quite a few Koreans who visit and worship there. Not only is the temple a sacred place, but it has a beautiful pink lawn that wins the attention of all that visit.

If you practice Buddhism or are just curious about the religion and its practice in Korea, then this is an excellent place to visit. Entry is free and it is open all year round.

If you've been to the Ssamziegil shopping mall, you might be familiar with the portrait shop located near the entrance on the first floor.

As soon as you sit down, the artist looks at you and begins to draw very quickly. In about 10 minutes, you will have a beautifully drawn self-portrait to remember your time.

Ever want to buy a phone case but couldn't find one that was exactly what you wanted. Well at this shop, you can make one just how you like by yourself.

When you enter the store, the owner will ask you what cell phone you have. Then you will be provided the proper instructions for making a case for the corresponding model. There are many different patters and styles for you to choose from.

Visit Unhyeongung Palace

Unhyeongung Palace

Unhyeongung Palace in Insadong was once the residence of the Huengseon Daewongun, the father King Gojong from the Jose Dynasty. After his ascension to the throne, King Gojong renovated the palace a lot, but it was severely damaged during World War II and the Japanese Occupation. The palace that you visit today has been rebuilt through the efforts of Seoul's restoration program of palaces.

It is one of the great symbols of the Joseon Dynasty.
