Our Visit

A view of the tall buildings in Myeongdong.

Another view of the front entrance of Lotte City Hotel Myeongdong's entrance.

After you come out from Exit 1 of Euljiro 3ga Station, you will see an area filled with high-rise buildings, one of which will be the Lotte City Hotel Myeongdong. There is a huge blue statue bowing down in front of the hotel, so you won't have any problem finding it. Currently due to Covid-19, entrance is being monitored into the building so you can only enter through the back gate at this time.

A view of the lobby located on the second floor.

When you arrive to the hotel, you should take the escalator to the second floor which is where the reception desk and lobby are. You will need to take a number and wait for it to be called in order  to begin the check in process.

Standard Room

Our room key given in a small paper envelope.

After you check in, you will receive your room key and for an extra 25,000 KRW, you can also get a breakfast voucher. As a safety measure for guests, you must have your room key in order to ride the elevator so make sure you have it with you at all times!

A view of the double-sized bed in our room.

When we entered the room, we saw that the room was decorated with many brown tones. The popular style of decor gave us a sense of familiarity while the dark tones made us feel a bit more relaxed as well.

A TV is mounted on the wall above a desk.

Across from the best was a mounted TV and desk. Underneath the desk were a bunch of amenities for our use such as a mini fridge and cabinets filled with other things we could use. Since this was their most basic room, there was not much space beyond the bed and the desk, but it was big enough for one to two people to stay the night comfortably.

The side of the room shows the closet and entrance to the bathroom.

Next to the bed is the bathroom and closet which is stocked with bathrobes, slippers, and extra bedding and hangers.

In a cabinet, there is bags for laundry and slippers. Next to the cabinet is a fire extinguisher.

At the bottom of the closet, there are slippers that can be used to walk around the room and bags for your dirty laundry.

The view from the 23rd floor room.

We were lucky enough to be assigned a room on the 23rd floor so we had an amazing view of the Euljiro area. Since this is a popular part of Seoul, the area was busy until late at night.

Amenities & Bathroom

An open mini fridge that is stocked with two water bottles.

As we mentioned before, there was a mini fridge located under the desk. Inside, we found two water bottles.

Some teas and cups ready to be used.

Next to the mini fridge was a cabinet which was stocked with a couple of tea bags and some paper cups on a tray.

The provided hot water pot.

Of course, to make tea, we need a hot water pot, which was also available.

A box filled with individually-wrapped toiletries in the bathroom.

The bathroom is filled with various items to make your stay more comfortable. On the bathroom counter, we found a box filled with a shower cap, comb, toothbrush, and toothpaste ready for our use.

Lotion and cups available for use in the bathroom.

They also had two cups available to be used while brushing your teeth (these are commonly used by Koreans), as well as hand wash and body lotion.

Shampoo, conditioner, body wash and a sponge in the shower.

The shower came stocked with shampoo, hair conditioner and body wash, as well as a fresh body sponge.

A compact hair dryer.

In the drawer on the left, there was a compact hair dryer available to use.

A toilet with an electric bidet and a view of the bathroom counter.

The bathroom was very clean and organized and the toilet  had an electric bidet. Since the bathroom is so well stocked, you can enjoy your stay even if you forget any of your toiletries.

The shower fully-stocked with hair products and soap.

The shower water pressure was very strong and hot water was instant so you can enjoy your shower quickly

Breakfast & Facilities

The entrance to the c'cafe located on the 27th floor.
Breakfast is served on the 27th floor in the c'cafe, a buffet-style restaurant. Breakfast is served from 7:30am to 10:30am so you can sleep in a little and still get to breakfast on time. Since the cafe is located on the 27th floor, the ideal seats are next to the window so you can take in the amazing view. If you want a window seat, make sure you get there between 7:30am and 8am!

The view from our seat in the c'cafe.

While we ate, we were able to see downtown Seoul and even Changdeokgung Palace in the distance. What a view!

A view of the breakfast bar and in-house chef.
The buffet offered both Western and Korean options so everyone is able to get something that meets their preference.

A cream soup, Western food, and Korean food we ate during breakfast.

With a variety of options including Korean food, cereals, fruits, made-to-order scrambled eggs or omelettes and more, we decided to try a little bit of everything. We started with a cream soup, then some Western menu items, then some Korean, and finally ended with a bowl of Vietnamese pho. While the food was not out-of-this-world delicious, we couldn't help but be satisfied with our breakfast as we sat at our window seat and taking in the city view.

The Business Corner available on the second floor.

The hotel included a few more facilities for guests to use for their convenience. One of those included the second floor Business Corner where you could get work done with the available computers and printers.

A view of the free gym located on the third floor.

On the third floor, there was a fully-stocked gym available to all guests free-of-charge. The only thing you need to bring is your own shoes and work out clothes and you're good to go!

It is very easy to navigate to the Lotte City Hotel. When you arrive to Euljiro 3ga Station, make to sure exit out of Exit 1 and then walk straight.

When you get to Corner H Cafe, turn right and enter the alley. Remember due to Covid-19, all guests must enter through the back entrance.

The back entrace to the Lotte City Hotel.
