On August 19th, comedian Park Soo-hong revealed he has taken legal action against controversial YouTuber Kim Yong-ho, who accused Park Soo-hong of dating violence based on information from someone claiming to be his ex-girlfriend.
Park Soo-hong promised to retire from the entertainment industry if the revelations about him were true.

Meanwhile, Kim Yong-ho took another shot at him by posting a video titled, 'Park Soo-hong, Retire Immediately' to his YouTube channel, Garosero Research Institute.
In the video, Kim Yong-ho restates his suspicions about the dating violence and says Park Soo-hong was just appealing to the public's emotions to get their sympathy so he could use his cat, Dahong-i.
Kim Yong-ho believes he had claimed his cat was the only thing getting him through these tough times to use it for business.

The tough times that Park Soo-hong mentions are the revelations against his family that came out earlier this year.
It was reported that his older brother and sister-in-law had scammed him of his entire life earnings of $9 million over the past 30 years while working as his manager and managing his earnings.
They are currently in the middle of a lawsuit.

Kim Yong-ho also states that the fact he hasn't show any evidence is not because it doesn't exist, but that it will be shown one by one in the courtroom.
He also mentions his surprise at the fact that Park Soo-hong has filed 32 trademark applications under his cat's brand, which is more than what even large corporations do.
He calls for Park Soo-hong to just apologize now so that the alleged victim won't go forward with prosecution.

Meanwhile, on the viewers' bulletin board of TV program 'Dongchimi' where Park Soo-hong appears, some fans have been requesting he leave the show.
As of 4pm on the 18th, more than 100 posts calling for his departure have been posted, with only a few being against it. 'Dongchimi' has not yet released an official position.

Park Soo-hong has also been losing YouTube subscribers.

On the other hand, on July 28th, Park Soo-hong announced on his Instagram that he had registered his marriage with a non-celebrity woman he was dating.
He said, "Now, as the head of the household, as a husband, as the father of Da Hong-i, who gave me hope for life, I want to live for my family and raise an ordinary family."
He filed a complaint to the police against Kim Yong-ho and the unidentified informants who gave him false information on charges of defamation, insults, obstruction of business, and coercion.
