Rose Tunnel | The Most Beautiful Tunnel In Danyang
Surround yourself with beautiful flowers and step into a fairy-tale at the Rose Tunnel in Danyang!
Today, we'll be taking you along on a trip to the beautiful Rose Tunnel in Danyang.
Danyang is known as a popular attraction for its beautiful nature.
It's located only 1 hour and 20 minutes from Seoul by KTX so it's the perfect place for a day trip!
When you arrive, you'll see the entrance to the Rose Tunnel as in the picture.
The riverside promenade was built in 1997 and is 1.2 km long.
The Rose Tunnel is located halfway from the entrance and is about 0.4 km long for people to walk through.
At the beginning of June every year, a festival is held here.
But due to the pandemic this year, it's most likely canceled.
Around the end of May until the beginning of June, colorful roses bloom all around the long tunnel and adds a touch of romance in the air.
Unfortunately, we visited Danyang in early May so the roses at the Rose Tunnel had not fully bloomed.
The charming scenery of the surrounding mountains and rivers was breathtaking nonetheless.
Even though there were no roses, it was still incredible.
As we continued walking along the path, we stumbled upon a rose that had bloomed.
We were so excited to see this single rose!
As the afternoon approached, the reflection of the sun setting on the lake was breathtakingly beautiful.

Even though we didn't see roses, we saw plenty of these beautiful bright canola flowers!
The bright yellow canola flowers in the sunlight looked so beautiful with the river in the back.

How To Get There: Take a bus from Danyang Station to Sangjin 4-ri (상진 4리 주동 아파트 입구). Then walk for 4 minutes.
