Misari Milbit Chogye Guksu has branches all around Korea, we tried their famous noodles at the main branch!
The famous Misari Milbit Chogye Guksu (미사리밀빛초계국수 본점) is famous for their chogye guksu (초계국수) which is a chilled chicken noodle soup that is recommended by EXO member Baekhyun.
We decided to take a trip to the main branch in Hanam with hungry stomachs and high hopes!
The exterior of the restaurant looks like a grand castle. It even looks like a beautiful wedding hall from afar.
When we searched online, we found out that the restaurant has branches all over the country. Their main branch is located in Hanam and tastes the most authentic and delicious.
The restaurant is super spacious and there are lots of seats available.
It's divided into 2 floors.
We chose to sit on the 1st floor as it was more convenient.
Although the outside looks quite foreign and non-Korean, its interior has a very traditional Korean atmosphere.
Here is what the menu looks like. You may be wondering what exactly is chogye guksu (초계국수)?
Let me break it down for you.
Cho (초): Korean vinegar
Gye (계): Mustard (In the dialect of Pyongyang).
Guksu (국수): noodles
The noodles are very refreshing as it's chilled and has generous amounts of chicken, cucumber, and radish which makes it the perfect summer meal.

Chogye Guksu (초계국수)

We ordered dak kal-guksu (닭칼국수) which is chicken knife-cut wheat flour noodles, and chogye bibim-guksu (초계비빔국수) which is a spicy cool dish made with thin wheat flour noodles.
The restaurant uses chicken broth which makes for a simple yet delicious dish.

For the price, there were generous amounts of chicken and noodles.
The soup was very delicious, we almost drank the entire bowl!
Chogye Bibim-guksu (초계비빔국수)

This dish is sweet and spicy but it also tastes very refreshing.
There were a lot of delicious chewy noodles that made our visit to Hanam worth it!
Both of the noodle dishes were definitely worth the hype!

How To Get There
Walk 15 minutes from Exit 2 of Hanam Pungsan Station of Line 5.
After walking out of the Starfield shopping complex, you can hop on the bus near the mall located within a 10-minute walking distance.
You'll see the Union Tower. Eileen's Garden (유니온타워. 에일린의뜰) bus stop.
You can take the bus numbers 9302, 9303, 9303-1, or 87.
Get off at Dongwon Benest Apartment (동원베네스트 아파트 입구) stop.
Walk to the right side of the bus stop until you see a crosswalk.
Turn right at the corner of the street.
Cross the road towards the small park.
Turn right and walk a little further.
Once you reach the end of the street, turn left.
Follow the arrow in the photo and keep walking straight.
When you reach the main road, turn left.
You'll see the restaurant on the left.
