Mokpo is located in South Jeolla Province and is the terminus for ferry routes in the Yellow Sea and its adjacent areas. It's located on the coast of the Korean Peninsula near the sea, which means Mokpo boasts in the freshness of their various seafood. 

On our trip to Mokpo, we took a visit to Dalbam Pocha (달밤포차). It's a popular seafood restaurant and bar that's very popular at night, located very close to the Mokpo Skywalk.

The term pocha (포차) is an abbreviation of pojangmacha (포장마차) which is a type of Korean bar that serves cheap and delicious street food. 

For those who are planning on visiting this place, we recommend coming around 5 pm. Previously when we visited later in the evening, we had to wait around an hour before we were able to be seated.

This time, when we arrived before the dinner rush there weren't many customers so we had more freedom in choosing where we wanted to sit. 

The weather was really nice so we decided to sit outside to enjoy the view. 

The server walked over with the menu and we took our time deciding our order. There were so much delicious Korean street food and seafood to choose from. 

We ordered the Dalbam Grilled Shellfish (달밤 조개구이) which is one of their specialties. We got medium (50,000 won) to share between the two of us.

We were served our side dishes, soup, and sauces right away. 

There was a lot of fire at first so we were cautious. But thankfully the server came and helped us grill it!

You have to wear the gloves they provide to grill them yourself as the fire gets very hot. 

The shellfish was pretty salty at first so we dipped it in chili sauce to help with the taste.

My favorite were these scallops with cheese. It melted right in my mouth and it was very delicious.

After finishing the first round of grilled shellfish, it was time for our next round!

After eating our food, we took a walk outside to take a photo at this lit-up moon that seems to be a big photo zone at this place. 

Another popular activity at the beach is to light fireworks! 

We highly recommend coming here if you like seafood and looking at the sea at night. You will not be disappointed.

Transportation: Take bus number 01 from Mokpo Station and get off at Yudal Recreation Area (유달 유원지) stop. After getting off, walk through Mokpo Skywalk and head to the beach.
