House Plant | A Rustic Furniture Warehouse And Cafe In Hanam
Take a tour around this unique rustic furniture cafe in Hanam away from the busy city of Seoul! Maybe you will find the perfect wooden furniture to complete your home.
Hanam is a small city in Gyeonggi Province, about an hour away from Seoul by subway or bus.
You can escape the busy streets of Seoul and enjoy the beautiful mountains at Hanam, there is also a unique cafe hidden away in an alley.
Today we'll be introducing House Plant, a beautiful rustic furniture warehouse cafe!
From the exterior, people passing by would just think that it's an old worn-down cafe.
But you will be pleasantly surprised!
Right as you walk in, a warm atmosphere will unfold in front of your eyes. If it is a nice day, there are several tables outside so you can soak in the sun.
When we visited, the weather was perfect. It wasn't too sunny and there was a gentle breeze to keep us cool.
Anyone who enjoys sitting out in nature will love it here!
The red brick wall with House Plant written on it is also a popular photo spot so be sure to check it out.
House Plant is divided into 3 main areas, a furniture warehouse, the indoor seating area/cafe, and the outdoor seating area. You can feel free to check out all three.
We entered through the indoor seating area. You can order drinks and desserts here.
This area is decorated with wooden furniture and comfortable couches. This type of furniture around the cafe enhances their rustic, vintage vibe. There are also plenty of tables so you don't have to worry about waiting in line.
There is a large window with a view of the outdoor seating area. If you feel like it's going to be too sunny outside, you can sit here and have a refreshing drink.
The cafe is connected to the furniture warehouse. There are entrances to the warehouse both inside and outside.
From the outside entrance, you can immediately tell that it's going to have a classic warehouse vibe to it, right?
Some of the furniture may already be sold. Otherwise, anyone interested can easily purchase it on the spot!
Or you can check out their website.
In addition to tables and chairs, they also have wooden mirrors, chandeliers, and doors!
Anyone in need of wooden interior items for their homes can check out this place! They seem to have the rustic design nailed down.
With the sunlight coming in, sitting here felt so peaceful!
There is also an outdoor seating area at the back of the cafe. It's the perfect place to sip on a refreshing ice-cold drink and eat delicious desserts on a warm afternoon.
Since there were hardly any other people, we sat here for hours chatting away!
This is another photo-op corner you can't miss! It's a long alley with red brick walls on both sides! Anyone who wants to take some artistic photos can take some awesome shots here.
After walking around the cafe until our legs got tired, we decided to head in and finally order some drinks and dessert!
House Plant's beverage options consist of coffee, non-coffee, and tea. There are two signature drinks, Bomb Bee, and Cream Hot Chocolate.
Their drink prices range from 5,000-7,000 won.
As for desserts, there are a total of 5 cakes to choose from; carrot cake, sweet potato cake, apple cheesecake, earl gray chiffon cake, and chocolate mousse cake.
We think their cakes are a little more expensive than other cafes because each cake costs more than 8,000 won.
There are also sandwiches, the sandwich options were cream strawberry, scrambled egg, and croissant.
Everything looked so delicious that we took a long time to decide what we wanted to order.
We ended up ordering their specialties, Bomb Bee, Strawberry Latte, and sweet potato cake!
Bomb Bee
7,000 won
Bomb Bee one of their signature drinks. We highly recommend this for those that are big coffee lovers!
It is made of strong coffee with heavy cream in the middle, there were also hints of fruitiness! They topped it off with a pretty flower petal.
Before taking a sip, you need to stir it well!
The taste wasn't too sweet, despite the cream, because the bitterness of the coffee nicely balanced it out.
Strawberry Latte
7,000 won
For those who don't enjoy coffee, you can order from their non-coffee items. We got a strawberry latte.
It's fresh milk mixed with strawberry jam and milk foam on top!
This drink also needs to be stirred well. The taste of the strawberry jam was so delicious with the milk.
You could really taste the strawberry flavor but it wasn't overly sweet!
Sweet Potato Cake
8,500 won
This cafe's best-selling cake is actually their chocolate mousse cake. But we decided to order the sweet potato cake instead.
Anyone who loves sweet potatoes as much as we do must try this cake! Starting from the cream on top, it was so smooth and delicious.
The cake also has a layer of bread that's very sweet. After our first bite, we kept eating in silence until we finished it all!
For those who like cold brew coffee, they also sell canned cold brews. The can is so unique and cute, right?
In addition to their canned cold brew, they also sell coffee beans and diffusers!
